There are so many times in the past 20 months of our lives that I felt like we could have received the "Dumb Parent" Award, or worse the "Dumb Mom" Award.
It's all out of good. Sometimes when things happen we just look at each other and go, what do you think we should do? It's in the not knowing that is scary. But that is why we just are clinging to the wisdom from God's Word and Him, to guide us. Not our earthly wisdom.
We've looked at each other several times and said that over the past 20 months, whether it be immuizations, discipline, bed times, food, or something else. There are millions of little decisions that cross our minds everyday concerning........
Kylee.
So, this is where we went last night at 8:30....
It never was real bad, but Kylee fell and hit her eye on the edge of the coffee table, and it cut her eyebrow open. It didn't bleed real bad or anything, but Jason was worried that it might leave a scar if they didn't glue it shut.
And his exact words, "I don't want it to scar because she's a girl." How sweet is that!!
So, we are the dumb parents that took her to the emergency room, and all they did was put neosporin on it, and a patch.
Dumb Parents Award??? Like I said, if it was concerning you, you wouldn't worry about anything, but when it is your child, everything is different!!
better to be safe then sorry!
ReplyDeleteLol! We've used super glue on more than one occasion. Try having 3 boys! I've been blessed enough to have my mom, a nurse, around for those uncertain moments.
ReplyDeleteyikes! blood is scary no matter what.
