Here, There, and Everywhere

We had one of those weekends, were we had to literally be 3 places at once!!
On Friday, the kids and I went to the fairgrounds, and ate lunch with Dad. He was helping with the Cow Show. We walked around the carnival, I ate the biggest corn dog you ever saw, and it made me sick to my stomach :), we watched the pig show for a minute, and walked through the exhibits. I found a vintage John Deere tractor sign that had a dad and a little boy in it, and it also had some red in it. So I bought it for Jaxon's room. I thought he HAD to have something John Deere in his room, you know.
Kylee got her face painted, and some cotton candy.
On Saturday, we went to Aryna's birthday party. It was a ballerina party. And Jaymie had everything so cute; it was perfect.
And Jaxon came to the all girl party. ;)

Eating on our "real" plates, with "real" cups. Very nice touch.

Ready to dance with the big ballerinas. Matching Tutu's and all.

Good Try Kylee.

Aryna trying (key word: Trying) to help Kylee do the streches correctly.

This position is bravo, I think.

Kylee has the BEST cousin ever. I mean seriously who wants a little rugrat underneath your feet when you are trying to perform ballet. Addisyn was so sweet to let her stand by her.

After the party, we went to a 50th wedding anniversary party for a couple from our church. They had a beautiful day, and beautiful dinner. They had a bounce house set up for the kids to play. Most of the kids there were at least 5 and above, most of them 3rd grade and up. Well, that didn't stop Kylee from joining in. She loved the bounce house. She would climb up the wall, and then go down the big slide, ALL BY HERSELF, and then here she would come out the end of the house, and run back around and get in, just to do it all over again. She was bright red, and soaking wet from sweat!! She loved it though!!
Then after that party, we went to a wedding in Wall. It was a gorgeous wedding. Every flower in the recption was real. I just love that. It was so pretty. We had a good time there too.
Here is Jaxon at the wedding; the best picture I could get of him.

And then there were 3

Remember This

Kylee riding on the back of Jason's bike. Look how cute she was in her bonnet. I guess Jaxon wouldn't like that.

She was 10 months old, which would have been July.
Look how, green it was....oh, come on summer, come quick.....
Here she is again around Easter holding her bunny; she was 17 months old.
(And Jason upgraded in the bike department too.)

And, look, who could it be???

Yep, and then there were 3!!!!

Jason fixed Kylee a seat in the front, so you know who could join them in the back. Kylee willingly gave up her seat because she is the LEADER now. :)

Be My Valentine

Jason and I have this joke still going a few days after Valentines Day. Where we are waking up in the mornings, and one of us will tell the other one, "Happy Valentines Day!" even though it had passed a week or so.
We like to do the same thing with birthdays, you know, purposely say "Happy Birthday" when it's not the other one's birthday, or Merry Christmas for like a week or so.

You should try it; it makes you laugh in the mornings because it is so DUMB!! :)
Most people think I am the only silly one or, dumb one......
Now you know why are children are scatter brained and silly...... They got it in 2 GENE POOLS!! :)
But, he's still my Valentine!!
This year the youth sponsored a Candlelight Dinner for the adults; they did all the serving and some of the cleaning. :) I helped with it, and it was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from the night. Some of the decoration ideas are mine, and some are not, but I will say the chocolate fountain was hit with young and the old.....

Our youngest guest!!

We had a "Not So Newly Wed Game" of couples that have been married for various amount of years. Travis and Kaci won, obviously, because they have been married only 3 years, so they still remember everything.
Mom and Dad were in the game, and Jason was laughing so hard because when asked, "What was your first date?", my mom answered "The Show". He thought it was hiliarous that she said "The Show" instead of the movies. I'm telling ya, he is goofy!!

For the Record

I have to go back and do Jaxon’s 6 month post, for the record, you know.

He turned 6 months old, 2 weeks ago!! I can’t believe.
- weight: 15 lbs. 10 oz. --> 25th Percentile
-height: 24 3/34 in --> 5 -10th Percentile

- has come a long way on eating baby food. He now eats and LIKES, applesauce, bananas, sweet potatoes, prunes, pears. He still chokes down carrots and green beans. But it is better.

- he is in his big boy bed, since 5 months.

- eats once a night, usually around 2:30 or 3. But has been going until 4 or 4:30 a few nights.

- wears 3-6 month clothes

- size 2 diapers

- don't you think we could get a commerical going or something for Pampers.....:)

- still kind of grouchy during the day and evening hours. But is better. Has at least a few happy 20 minute spells in there. But now I think we are getting to the “attachment” phase….

- his hair is not real thick feeling, but there is kind of alot of it. This was right after his bath, and you must comb it down or it will go crazy, like this!!

- has eaten crackers, yogurt melts, cheetos, vanilla wafers, and puffs. Does okay with them, but still have to watch him.

- nurses every 4 hours
- is more animated and hyper than his 3 week older cousin

- not so sure if that is a good thing, you know!!! :)

- when he gets real excited, he throws his arms down like this and looks down real fast

- doesn’t like the car seat

- when you put him on the floor, he can get up on all 4 knees by himself, and rock…. EXCITING!!

- can sit up on the floor for a good 2 or 3 minutes without getting wobbly, sometimes longer.

- likes his bath time, and loves to lean to one side in the seat and splash real hard with his arm, a good way to annoy your sister and get mama all wet

But something is interesting to me with his immunizations this time around, and wondering if any of you had problems like this. We got his immunizations on a Wednesday, by that evening he had a runny nose, and was coughing a little. By Thursday, he had the full fledge, runny nose, cough, was running a fever, and was hoarse. On Friday, the same kind of thing, but really no fever. Then on Saturday, he still had all of this, and was running a pretty high fever and he was so inconsolable, which made me kind of nervous. Then on Sunday, he was fine, still hoarse for a few days, but other than that nothing. I looked up about the immunizations, and it said this could be some side effects. I've never had this happen with Kylee or with his first months.

Poor baby in the bath when he was not feeling good

- but here he is happy

Where in the World.....

have you been? Don't you think you could talk to me a little more than once a week. What kind of friend are you?
Okay, blogger, please accept my apology for slacking......
Where in the world have I been????
Right here, all along, but I guess I got busy last week.
So, I'll play catch-up
- made football cookies for Awana's on last Wednesday night. My cookie cutter was like about a 2inch football design, and after the cooked they blew up big time into like 4 1/2 inch Easter eggs..... But after I decorated them they looked like a football again... :)

- Went and ran twice last week, striving for 3 times this week. The weather is AMAZING; we are enjoying it. Kylee has been driving her Barbie jeep around, and to much surprise she is actually a little better than she was last summer. Not running into quite so many things.

- The kids and I went to the Wall girls basketball game Friday night in Abilene; guess I'm glad we went.......

- Having cousins is a GREAT thing when getting to share clothes and shoes. You see, everything that is "cute, not stained, and worth saving" is passed down like this:

Addisyn to Kylee now on to Lexi

Karter to Jaxon

And with Kylee being a first child, and having a shower for her, and having a mama who likes to shop for little GIRL clothes, let's just say, little Miss Lexi has ALOT to choose from. Anyways, I was organzing Kylee's old clothes, and getting some spring/summer clothes out for Lexi, which would be around size 12 month. When digging through the 12 month clothes, it is all clothes that Kylee wore last summer, and Lexi is going to wear THIS summer!!! They are nearly 2 years apart.

Just reinforces how small Kylee is. :)

- We went to the Rodeo on Saturday. Here's our fabulous family picture.

We went with Brianne and Duane and Travis and Kaci. We had a good time. The opening ceremony with the National Anthem was so Good, and powerful!! Makes me want to just scream, "I love America!!" The announcer put so much passion and pride into the American flag, and the national anthem. I think we've lost that.

- Kylee has been in her twin bed, and Jaxon in his crib for 3 months now, and I am wanting to post pictures of their rooms, but I am so frustrated with finding things to decorate them with. Jaxon's room is "vintage cars". I can't find anything. I ordered some prints off of Etsy, but other than that I have nothing. And Hobby Lobby, though they have LOTS of cute stuff out right now, they have nothing as far as cars go, just sports. And with Kylee's room, I am trying to find flower things to hang on the walls, but no luck there either.

- we have been taking lots of baths lately, riding bikes, and planting some Texas Sweet Onions

- be on the look out, for Jaxon's 6 MONTH post, and our Valentine Dinner at church post. I tell you, I am seriously playing Catch-up.

Valentine's 2011

I've been singing "Going to the Chapel of Love" all day today!!! And I can't help but think of Stephanie's wedding!! They danced into this song!! So cute!!
Valentines Weekend has been a fun one this year!!

We had our Valentine Dinner at church saturday night, and it turned out really cute. I'll post pictures later. But, here is Jason and I sitting in the LOVE chairs!! :)

Jason took the kids to town Friday night, and went shopping for Valentine's day for me. I got 2 "Star wars" suckers, a bag of carmel chocolates, and a MacArthur Study Bible. Jason has one, and he likes it; I think I'll like it; I don't really agree with everything MacArthur does, but we'll see!! :)

And Kylee got to get a clear case of about a "bazillion" tiny beads to make bracelets with.....you know when she went with Jason to town.....he let her get it....I mean he bought it for her, but still......and Jaxon about to start crawling around on the floor......but she made me this beautiful bracelet she is SOOOO proud of.....

I got Jason that bag of BIG marshmallows I posted about, some peanuts, a sucker, a Roy Orbison CD he wanted, and the DVD "Expelled" with Ben Stein.....It's political...he'll like it....
Jaxon got a CRACKER for the FIRST time.... I think he liked it!!

Then he borrowed Jason's big sucker!!

And back to the cracker....

He got a little more than a cracker for Valentine's day!! He's my little prince charming!!
Kylee got an outfit, and some stickers, and some other little things. She was so cute this year; she really got the idea of "getting" and "giving" valentines away to her "friends". Yesterday morning at church, I heard from a little birdie that when her friend Emma got to church she ran and started yelling, "Emma, Emma, Emma, here you Valentine...here you valentine...." Then they hugged!! Kylee had made a valentine for her. And then last night at church, another girl gave her a card Valentine, just a card no candy attached. She carried that and treasured that card around all night. So cute!!
Today, she got to go to McDonald's with Jason's mom and Grandma for a little Valentine Treat. Here is she dressed ready to go.

Emma gave her a Valentine bow!!

And, I better go get ready......I have a hot date tonight!! :)
