Boy Oh Boy!!

Boy Oh Boy it's going to be a fun weekend.  We have baby shower to go to; I've been cutting out lots of bow ties!! 

After that some house looking!! Should be fun!!

In Love!!

Y'all I'm in love with this site called Noonday Collection. 

I've been following a young couple from Texas that just adopted twins from Ethiopia, and from her, I've been following several mission sites and I came upon this Noonday Collection. 

I love the colors in the items; I love the idea behind it. So, I kind of want to host a party, but then again I don't. I hate making people feel like they have to buy something, ya know!!

Anyways, there are several items I would like, but I want Jason to buy me the long red necklace for Christmas. :)

Our House....

On Friday night, I mentioned something in passing to Jason about getting the Christmas boxes down, well as soon as Kylee heard that, she was begging to get them down immediately.  

So on Saturday we put everything up!!

I enjoy getting it out really quick after Thanksgiving.  But, then again, come December 26th I really enjoy putting it all up too!! :)

The kids have checked their stockings a few times hoping Santa brought something early.....

The angels wings got broken as we were ALL getting it out, so they are being hot glued. :)

Speaking of broken, we have had the tree up for 4 days, and each kid has broken at least one ornament each. I invested in mostly shatter proof last year, but I still had several that were breakable, and well, that number is getting fewer each day. 

Oh, well, I love it!! Can't wait to go and have people over for Christmas!! 

Pony Party

We had a great time at Emma's Pony Party weekend before last.  

Eve decorated so CUTE with a chalkboard sign, blue guitar, pink suitcase, and this fabulous yellow cabinet. I would love to have one like it!!! This is why I need someone to go garage sale for me and find me cute pieces of furniture to then pay someone to make it pretty for me. :)

Performer!!

Catching up from last weekend since I lost my camera. 

Kylee did a Thanksgiving Performance with our Preschool Group.  There are 8 of them that meet.  A friend's home school group was putting on the program, and asked if our group wanted to do a couple songs with them.  It was so cute!!

The Stage

I was video taping and trying to take pictures at the same time because Jason was trying to keep Maggie happy.  So I only got one picture of her.

SHE DID SO GOOD!!  In May at church, we had the AWANA awards, and she didn't say any of her verses.  I'm so proud of her now. She did the motions and sang!! So sweet!!

They did 2 songs: "We've got so much, so much, so much to be thankful for" and "Attitude of Gratitude is Pleasing to the Lord".

On Sunday Morning last week at church, her and Jaxon performed again, along with her cousins and other kids from church. 

I'm tellin' ya she is just a performing girl!!

Even little Lexi had her finger up for "let it shine"!! :)

Little did I know, that Jaxon was going to be singing too.  I was a little leery of it just because I don't feel like he is able to stand still yet.  

He just stood there and looked mad, and didn't sing at all. Then, he saw me on the front row and decided to run off and come by me. Maybe next time he'll be better. 

When did these two, grow up. Addi turns 7 in a few weeks!! :(

I'm Lost Without You

I lost my camera, but I actually do know where it is. I just have to find a little time today or tomorrow to go get it because I have to be ready for Thanksgiving pictures!!

Our World

We've been just humming along lately.

Aunt Haley came home early from the Philippines, so the kids have loved it!!  They have enjoyed Mr. Gatti's, McDonalds, and the Circus with her since she got back on Friday!! Glad she is home. 

And Jason is not extremely busy right now; just some little things to do here and there, so the kids have been able to stay with him some days instead of coming to town with me, and it breaks my heart, but they would rather sit in the dirty barn, wearing play clothes, listening to the guys talk about politics and farming, jump on the trampoline, dig in the dirt, swing, or ride their bikes.  Oh wait, who wouldn't want to stay with Dad!!

We had family pictures taken about a month ago; going to pick them up tomorrow, and hopefully get Christmas cards started soon.

This Saturday we went to Fall Festival at the church Jason grew up in.  I for some reason love going to this every year.  Nearly every single Holik is there; it is a fun time of year to be together; the kids can wear Thanksgiving outfits; the food is great; there are games for the kids to play, and nearly always someone willing to hold the baby!! Great!!

They always have a live auction, which we don't stay for anymore because, well, we have 3 children.  And they have a silent auction, which is so fun to watch the people try to outbid each other.  

Well, do you know what Miss Me Jeans are??? There were 2 pair from J.Wilde's in the silent auction, and my brother-in-law Josh was bidding on them just to try and make the girls mad.  I noticed he was bidding on them, and he quickly asked, "Will you wear these jeans?" I immediately said "YES", and he was determined to win them!! And I can return them for any size or style!!! 

Thanks to Josh!! Yeah!!

I've been checking out the black friday ads online.  Trying to map out my plan!! :)  You know that's next week already!!

We have another busy weekend ahead, with lots of fun things to do!! 

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

So thankful for the person he is, and for giving me wonderful memories of my growing up years.  Fun times together: bringing home baby calves from the sale to feed, family vacation with the Reeds, late night basketball trips and stockshows, early mornings taking us to school for cross-country and track meets, driving us around on tractors and 4-wheelers, teaching us to ride horses, teaching me drivers ed, loving mom, making us breakfast most mornings before school, yelling really loud "It's time to go", cooking suppers and lunches for us, laughing around the coffee pot at church, buying ice cream without mom knowing and hiding it, letting Jaxon grab your nose, letting every single grand kid sit with you in your chair, watching bull riding with the grand kids, the consistency of knowing where you are on Thursday mornings, the consistency that you brought to our home, and my life!!

Love you more than all these words!!!

8 Months!!

Happy 8 Months to my Baby!!!

You were a pig for your first Halloween.  You obviously didn't care what you were, but you definitely did not like the cap on your head.  Silly girl!!

You even got to suck on a sucker for a little bit, thanks to Daddy and Aunt Bri.  For some reason, you love going to Aunt Bri now!! :)

You enjoy eating, and have pretty much liked everything we have tried.  You can make some pretty funny faces, but manage to get it down, and then you always still want more.  You love having snacks like: puffs, yogurt melts, and Mam crackers. You like juice, but don't get it that often. 

You take 2 naps a day, and then sometimes have to have a 20 minute cat nap around 6:30 or 7 because you just get so sleepy. 

Wake up once a night to eat; eat 4 times during the day, and usually go to bed around 8:45 or 9. Wake up around 8. 

Love when Daddy gets home, and like to attack him and crawl all over him when he lays on the floor. 

I think your favorite thing is being around other kids.  You love seeing Kylee and Jaxon around you, and actually look up at them sometimes, as if you are listening to them talk.  You love sitting on Big Cousin's Hip as she sometimes gets to walk around with you. I seriously think this is your favorite thing. 

But, pretty soon, you might be WALKING!! We'll see.  You have been walking along the couch and cabinets, and can push a toy that does not move very fast, like the chairs.

Every day I feel like you are more and more different than the olders. 

You for the most part are happy all the time, unless you are hungry or sleepy, and then you are happy again. 

Your hair is still real blonde, and you have a lot of it, with a pretty part; I can't figure out what color you eyes are. 

This is pretty much your happy look.  It takes ALOT to get you to smile big.  Kylee and Jaxon would smile Big and all over when they were little, and now Kylee won't smile at anybody, but Jaxon will, so we'll see.  

I love how your personality is different.

My Baby, I can't believe you're 8 months old.  Time please slow down!! I love to see you learn new things, but when I look back on our time together, I just think where did it go.  How my love grows for you every day.  You are so precious.

Crafty

I've squeezed in some time for some crafts lately. 

Painted an "H" on a burlap covered canvas.  Made a orange fabric flower, and added a rhinestone.  I am enjoying looking at it. 

I wanted to make Maggie some knit headbands.  She has one, that has some laminated flowers on it (basically just circles with a button in the middle). 

There is not much laminated fabric around, so I decided to laminate my own.  I ordered some of this from Amazon. 

It is so cool.  I laminated all these fabrics, and am hoping to get to make some headbands on Saturday with mom's help.  

It was so easy to do!!

Undecided....

No, I am not an undecided voter.  I have long known who I am voting for.  

I am just nervous for our county.  I am undecided about which way the election is going to turn out.  Some times I think it's going to be good, and some days I scare myself thinking about the alternative.  It will not be good for our country.  But, I guess, we will know very soon now!!

Kylee said "but mama, you hair is not curly like them."  

In a week's notice, and living in a rather small town, we couldn't find blue curly hair, or red and white striped satin fabric for the skirts.  

So, we went with what we could find.  We got the wigs at the Halloween store 50% along with the gloves.  But, we only need one pair of gloves. :)

We got the fabric at Hancocks, and forced mom to whip out some skirts for us.  Thankful that she did even though she would rather sew on bags, ruffly hair flowers, or a squirrel for a baby gift!! 

We had a great time at the party. This year the clues were hidden around the house, and we had to search for them behind pictures, in drawers, under cushions.  It was SO MUCH FUN doing it that way!! It was really like CLUE!!

One guy thought that the tattoo on my arm was real.  Made me laugh. 

And our Sunday School Teacher couldn't even look at us, because he thought we were creepy.
