Trash your house Thursday because why not!!!

Right!!

Here's the run down.

On Monday, Jason and the guys were looking for a project to do this week.

They tossed around the idea of building a barn.

But, seriously, who needs 2 barns, 10 feet apart, on the same property.

They came up with the idea of building a chain link dog pen for Jason's parents 2 dogs.

So, on Tuesday and Wednesday, they started that, and have YET to complete it.

TODAY, which I have renamed, Trash your house Thursday because Why Not, they decided to tear out our master bath, break the window, and cut a whole in the wall.

WHY?

I ask, WHY NOT?

Short Story: 2 weeks ago Jason saw water linking underneath the hot water heater, which is behind, a lovely sliding door in the corner of our playroom. No big deal. I immediately say, you need to tell your dad. No big deal. Jason thought it was the hot water heater all along. Turns out after they tore out the whole bathroom, and broke the window, that it in fact, was the hot water heater.

Which did you know, that you can replace just a hot water heater.

No big deal!!

Have you ever wondered what it looks like under your bathtub? I seriously have wondered this, so now I know.

Maybe I'll just keep this in our bedroom. It could hold dirty laundry.

That's the sun shining through the window they broke, that is now a whole in the wall, so while we sleep tonight, raccons and skunks can get in.

Don't ask.

And I was really okay with all this, until this part.

You see this whole they cut in the wall before they did all the tearing out.

This HOLE!!

Well, threw that whole brought all this white powdery dust. On E V E R Y single toy in the playroom. We have like a millon.

It makes me want to cry. Worse yet, is it is on every single piece of scrapbooking tool or paper I own. :(

But, I'm not going to worry about it until...................... Tuesday.

06/24/06

Five years ago today I married the man I loved and will love, for the rest of my life.

About a year ago, I heard a song on KLOVE that I absolutely loved the very first time I heard it, and still love hearing to this day. It is by Sanctus Real, called Lead Me. Listen to it here. The story behind the song was featured on the 700 Club last week, and I was so thrilled to get to watch it. Here are some lyrics:

To lead them with strong hands

To stand up when they can't

Don't want to leave them hungry for love

Chasing things that I could give up

I'll show them I'm willing to fight

And give them the best of my life

So we can call this our home

Lead me 'cause I can't do this

Father, lead me 'cause I can't do this alone.

The words are so powerful, and fitting for any marriage wanting and praying for their husband to lead them.

I am eternally grateful that I have that.

In honor of our 5 years here are the TOP 5 Things I am thankful for about Jason.

#5. Thank you for changing dirty diapers and giving baths.

#4. Thank you for listening to my party plans, and big dream talk, and girl talk, and clothes talk, and......

#3. Thank you for still looking me in the eyes, and loving me.

#2. Thank you for letting me sleep with the fan on medium. This is huge.

#1. Thank you for leading us.

God willing, we have many more to come.

Happy 5 years!!

The Story of "My Little Pony"

"My Little Pony" has come along way at our house.

You see Kylee and this HORSE as I call it, weren't always the best of friends.

Let me take you back.

Aunt Bri gave this horse to Kylee for her 2nd Birthday last year. All because when she went to AddiKarter's house she loved Addisyn's horses she had.

So when Brianne told me she wanted to get her a horse, I assured her that would be a great idea.

Well, my daughter threw the horse on the ground after her party last year, claiming that she "didn't like that horse."

I told Brianne; Brianne just laughed.

But, a good lesson learned.

Now, they are best friends, and "my little pony" name is Ally. She calls it her "my little pony". Although if you have seen a my little pony around, they are not quite that big!! It is obviously not a my little pony, but whatever.

She feeds Ally; puts her to bed, but she doesn't like the covers over her nose, she told me; she rides in her car seat with Kylee; she played at the grandparents house; she drinks out of a sippy cup.

I think they'll be friends for life.

Party Hearty

Where we put our hearts into your party!!

You like the name.

Yeah, me neither.

But this is the stuff I dream about at night. You know those 4 hours stretches of sleep I get.

I dream of decorating and hosting huge kid birthday parties at the most gorgeous venues, or houses.

I dream about a walls of shelves that will hold all the pretty serving pieces and jars.

I dream about walls and walls of brightly colored scrapbook papers.

I dream about a business name.

I dream about a business logo.

I dream about business cards.

You get the idea. :)

Hey, a girl can dream right.Maybe in the distant future.

Anyways, I had my cricut machine running 90 to nothing today. And it will have to do it again several more days before some special birthday parties arrive.

Father's Day!!

We had a great Father's Day weekend!!

On Friday night, Kylee spent the night with her cousins. This is only the 2nd time ever. But she was so ready to go, and didn't miss us any!!

On Saturday night, we went to a wedding of a family friend in Clyde. It was so gorgeous!! It was an outdoor reception. And a rain shower came through, and literally dropped the tempature to 74 degrees!! It was so cool, and did anyone know that Clyde is known for her huge oak trees!! This landscaping at the reception was beautiful!! The trees were so old; they were just huge!! And the grass was so pretty! It really made Jason and I want that kind of landscaping whenever we build a house.

We went to bed dreaming big dreams!

Then on Sunday we went to Sunday school, and we were studyed about being content. Hmmmmmm......... :)

We had a great Father's Day with our dads. Had lunch with Jasons' dad. And supper with my dad!!

And then we gave Jason his Father's Day present.

I just want y'all to know. I am the worst gift giver EVER!!!

See for Jason's birthday a few weeks ago, he wanted these Vibram shoes. Well, I ordered some new off ebay, and they were the wrong size, and I couldn't return them. So he said to just sell those, and forget it. Then I bought this firepit for Jason because he loves to roast marshmallows, and now we are under a burn ban. Lovely.

Waiting on Daddy

I had this post floating around in my head for a few days now, and I think it is very fitting seeing that Father's Day is Sunday.

Jason has been working long days for about 2 weeks now. He leaves before I open my eyes at 6 in the morning, and has been getting home about 9 at night. I think they are gettting close to being done planting.

Sometimes the days get long for one particular little girl who loves her daddy.

So, to pass the time the other night, this is what we did.

The kids got naked and played in the water hose.

Not quite, naked.

Jaxon loved getting dirty, but don't all boys love the dirt and rocks, and he especially loves to eat them. But, he also, loves his daddy too because Jason walked in one night, and he turned and got the biggest smile on his face, and started crawling really fast to see him, "like hey, where have you been??" It was precious; Jason noticed it too because he told me later that night "Jaxon recognized me." So sweet!

I remember growing up, and we would wait on daddy to get home. My sister would sit on the edge of the dishwasher lid, and I would stare out the kitchen windows waiting to see his truck drive up.

Everything in my world was great when my daddy got home.

And you know, when I am over there now and Dad gets home, the grandkids get so excited to see Paw-Paw, and something down inside of me still gets excited.

I think she feels the same way about her daddy.

And I think he will feel the same way too; although, the father-son relationship is different, I am learning.

We laughed,

and danced,

and ran "track",

and partied, til the cows came home!!

We took one last picture on the swing,

and then we all had even bigger smiles because the waiting was over!!

Daddy was home.
