Harvest Gold

Jason and his brother drove to town one day to pick out a paint color for their newly made "Beddar Bar". They debated and talked about what color they should choose. I just laughed. They really took into consideration all the possible choices, and what colors are already out there, and what farmer already has a certain color of plow, and so on.

When they happened upon the name "Harvest Gold" as one of the paint samples, they were hooked.

I like the color, and I got told it is NOT yellow. :)

They built this plow that is behind the tractor.
It has taken lots of man hours, and lots of patience with measuring, cutting, welding, and re-cutting on a few occasions.

This is their 3rd one to build. And I think I finally know what this piece of equipment does.

You use this plow to make the beds in the fields before you plant.

Then at the end, after all is finished, they weld in the signature seal of approval,

The JJ stands for Jason and his brother, and just so you know the "S" on the end stands for me. :)

Name Game

The countdown is on for the new baby to be born; only 6 1/2 weeks to go.

And the NAME GAME still persists.

We can't decide.

So, Jason said the famous "we will just wait until we see what she looks like, and then decide. "

I am fine with that, but deep down inside I don't like that. I am scared I will be out of it or something and won't be thinking correctly to pick a good name. And then she will go for 2 days without a name and everyone will be giving there opinions, and then be pressured to just write one down for the certificate.

And, if you know me well at all, I would really like to have the name monogrammed on burp rags, blankets, or a onesie. :(

It is basically between 2 names.

After Jaxon came out a boy, and ever since we knew baby #3 was a girl the name has been

Maggie.

We called her that, prayed for her calling her Maggie, and Kylee was "all in" for having a Maggie.

Mainly I started not liking it because I couldn't think of a middle name to go with it (any hints would be welcome) AND I wanted the girls name to have the "ee" on the end of it like Kylee.

Spellings of Maggie I like best:

Maggee, Magee, Maggie

I tossed around all of these for a while. Then Jason all of sudden throws out a new name

Allie.

We all immediately dumped Maggie, and were "head over heels" for having a baby Allie. Kylee switched from calling her Maggie to Allie.

I liked it, and pinned the name as

Allie Kate

Spellings of Allie I like best:

Ally, Alyee, Allie

But, now as time goes on, we are kind of drawn back to Maggie.

And since a middle name was a problem, I have kind of liked

Maggie Kate

So, those are the 2 names, we are thinking about.

It still doesn't answer the problem of wanting it to have "ee" on the end, so

TIME TO VOTE:

Which do you like

Allie or Maggie?

Which spelling do you like?

Motherhood = AWESOME

Back in the fall, earlier in my pregnancy, I ordered some things from Motherhood Maternity online. They came, and with them, came a big plastic sack of coupons and other various advertisements. In there, was a $20 gift card to use at Shutterfly.

I was so excited because Brianne and I have been ordering a yearly book from there.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I still had a little money on a gift card to Motherhood, so I thought I would order something. I ordered 2 shirts, but the best part of it is, they came in 2 SEPERATE SHIPMENTS........

Which meant I got that little plastic sack of coupons and stuff, TWICE.

You guessed it!!

I got 2 more $20 gift cards to Shutterfly.

A total of $60 to Shutterfly = AWESOME

Brianne and I ordered 2 books last week for $8 each!!

Motherhood = AWESOME

Bet you didn't know I'm a rule BREAKER....

I ate gobstoppers and beef jerky ALL weekend.

I have braces.

No, I didn't break a bracket,

but I probably will, if I keep that up.

In other news, our house is an ABSLOUTE wreck. Mainly because I am trying to organize closests and for some reason I make this HUGE mess before it looks any better.

The kids closests are pretty much done, but I was wanting to order a bookcase for Jaxon's room to put MOST of the toys since the baby's bed will go to Kylee's room eventually.

Well, 2 weeks ago, the bookcase was on sale, and now, after I decided for sure on it, it's $60 more. I was so mad, so I didn't order it, so the mess of books, puzzles, and stuffed animals that need a place to go will just have to sit on the floor a little longer.

ALSO,

I have WAY to much stuff for scrapbooking and crafty things. So, I am trying to organize all of this, but the playroom in turn looks like a tornado, but Jason is going to HOPEFULLY hang some shelves for me tonight, and then I can proceed on.

And I don't really have an excuse for dirty floors and dusty furniture. :)

1/4 of a cow

My dad is a rancher, and knows all about the cattle market and what it is doing, at any given time.

I always enjoyed having all sorts of animals like, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, and cows, roaming the land when we were growing up. Even with all the stink and disgusting stuff they can do I still liked it. Jason, not so much.

But, no matter how bad they stink, I tell you, the 5 grandkids,

LOVE ANIMALS.

They don't care about the stink; they are begging Paw-Paw to take them to check the fence, feed the cows, or ride Darlene (the hores who all 5 grandkids rode last summer). They love it.

Well, 3 of dad's cows went to the slaugher house about a month. There are several families at church that all take about 1/4 or 1/2 of a cow, and eat on it for 1/2 a year or so. It is actually a little cheaper per pound, if you have a place to store all of it.

Here's our 1/4 of a cow.

Stacked nicely on the top 2 shelves of our freezer. This is actually not all of it; we couldn't fit all of it, and really weren't interested in eating the "ox tail" so we sent that to stay at my Grandmother's freezer.

I think beef is what's for dinner.

One for the Baby

It snowed here today.

But it was melting fast.

Jason LOVES the snow, and was kind of upset he wasn't able to build a GIGANTIC snow man like they did here in 2010.

Or even build a snow family like we did last year in 2011.

But, we did manage to build a real small snowman this year, and we named it for the new baby coming in March.

So, that's our family Snow picture this year, and I kind of like it. :)

Thankful

On behalf of my daugther, I am so thankful for my niece, Addisyn.

Kylee loves Addisyn.

Addisyn had a slumber party for her 6th birthday in December, and she was so sweet to invite her young cousin, Kylee, to her party, even though her other friends were much older. :) Kylee was so excited to get to go to her sleepover.

Kylee has been asking for some time now, if she could spend the night with us. This weekend it actually worked out where she could.

They played dress up, tag, and basically whatever Kylee wanted to do.

Kylee told her several times, "I'm so happy you are here."

She was so excited to have her spend the night at our house. She thought it was pretty much the coolest thing, ever.

They shared her twin bed; the next morning we got ready and went to church.

I have to say it was a little harder having 3 kids here to get ready. :)

So thankful for cousins.

My Red Solo Cup

Red solo cup I fill you up

Lets have a party lets have a party

I love you red solo cup I lift you up

Proceed to party proceed to Party

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jaxon got to enjoy a bath in the kitchen sink the other night. I can't remember why, there was a reason, but he really thought he was special, and entertained himself for a LONG time with just a RED SOLO CUP.

Jaxon also turned 17 Months Old yesterday, on the 7th.

Pause, while his mother cries uncontrollably for a moment.

I can't believe it. I can't. I really can't believe it.

How and when did he get so big?

Isn't he the cutest thing?

What does he do?

He loves to play with Kylee, if she would just give him a chance.

He loves to eat: crackers, cookies, fruit, spaghetti o's. Basically anything.

Knows were his ears, hair, eyes, and mouth are. Can do "touchdown".

He loves his bottle, and loves to carry it around and drink it. This is sort of a problem, and will have to be dealt with soon because I know at 18 month appt. they like for them to be off the bottle and only on the sippy cup.

We call him Jack Man, Yacht Man, or Jax.

He loves to be outside, and is so adventerous. Kylee will stay on the porch and not get off. Jaxon will start walking, and one day last fall, he walked all the way out to the barn behind our house. Going to have to keep my eye on him.

Can go get a diaper out of his room and bring it to you. And can put his pacifiers in his bed.

Sleeps from 8:30pm to about 8am.

Wears size 4 diapers; size 4/5 shoe.

Loves to take a bath, and loves to put his face in the water.

Says mama, ball, bottle, cup.

Takes one nap from about 1-3, but recently has not been sleeping very long.

Has NO clue about the new baby. I was telling him one day, and he didn't get it.

Very aggressive and nosey.

When in trouble, he can make the ugliest face, has attitude already, and stomps his feet.

I'm sure I'm missing lots of stuff, but wanted to remember him at this time.

Happy 17 Months!!!

30

30 was my basketball number in high school. I loved the number 30.

But, that really has nothing to do with this post.

And NO, I am definetely not 30 years old like some people.

Today, I am 30 weeks pregnant.

It's a great day. I feel so blessed with my pregnancies that I feel good the whole time; hopefully, that keeps up. Back in the fall sometime, Jason asked "when could the baby live, if it were to be be born?" For some reason, I just thought if we could make it to January, she would have a good chance of living.

So, here we are in January, God willing nothing happens soon though.

My actual due date is Friday, March 16th.

I feel like this pregnancy has just flown by, and now I am getting a little nervous. :)

I feel her move and kick quite a bit, but possibly less than my other too. This could be a good thing for us.

We did the 3D sonogram, but her hands were in her face, so they didn't even print any of them.

We have tossed around 2 names now for a while. It is those middle names that are hard to come up with.

Haven't had indegestion, yet! Can't remember when I started having it bad with the other two. I am a FIRM believer in Indgestion=Hair at Birth!! :) Or in my case it has.

I really just want to eat alot. I know I shouldn't because I'm not going to want to deal with it after she is born.

I am so ready to SEE her. The other 2 surprised me so much when they came out, that this time I am EXPECTING a head full of dark hair, and you know what, she will probably look totally different, and I will still be surprised. Whatever she looks like, I know that is the way God made her, and we will love her.

The countdown is on; praying for 10 more healthy weeks!!

Thoughts I've been Thinking about

10 Things that I have been pondering about.....

1. The Baby.....First because she moves and I feel her. Secondly, if she isn't moving, I start to worry, and then try to give to God fast. Lastly, because it has been fun getting out all the baby stuff and looking through the little bitty clothes!!

2. Food - I want to eat all the time. Bad foods. All the time.

3. Baby Name - Still can't decide.

4. Ordering Shirts for the all the kids when the new baby comes to wear to the hospital

5. Excercising. You see I am the person that goes to excercise, just so I can eat what I want. Joined the health club on Monday with my Two-Fit Membership. Thinking swimming is going to help me.

6. Painting Furniture & Rearranging Rooms - Interested in Adding a stain after I paint it. Anybody have experience at this?

7. Labor - Enough said.

8. Having a Valentine/Playdate Party in February

9. The Heart of our kids - Reading a book called "Parenting is Heart Work." Convicting and Encouraging.

10. Pillow Covers - This should actually move farther up on the list, because I have been thinking and googling them alot lately. I'm thinking they would be really easy to sew, but I want those really fluffy ones, with lots of layers on them, and I think that fabric would probably cost as much as it would to make it.

What have you been thinking about?

One Big One

Here is ONE BIG Christmas Run down!!!

Christmas Eve Eve I made the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls. They don't look anything like her's, but tasted pretty good. And I Mom got us her new cookbook to be released in March, so excited!!!

Christmas Eve morning we went to Jason's parents and opened gifts there. There were boots, IPAD's, guns, legos, basketball goals, gift cards, and a really big gift to JJ Holik's Farm that was some kind of saw.

Christmas Morning at our house. Santa came. He delievered.

There were horses, candy, John Deere, baby dolls, gymnastic mats, books, purses, gloves, and a Garmin for Jason that I waited in line at Best Buy for on Black Friday to save my $10. And he actually likes it. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Jason went to church Christmas morning. The kids and I went to mom's to help her cook lunch. Should have gone to church because I missed the BIGGEST Military homecoming Ever, with a family from our church!!! Rats.

We ate lunch, and then opened gifts. Christmas on a Sunday threw everything off. It was kind of weird. There was jewelry, books, games, printers, boots, outfits, Nerf guns, and dad's Keurig Coffee Maker that he loves!!

It was a great and super busy Christmas, but we are so blessed to have our family so close.
