Laminator

I mentioned earlier in the week, that I got a laminator, but was scared to open it.

Well, I opened, and USED it!! :)

The other day cricutmachine.com was having a awesome sale on this

"Your Story" Laminator and Bundle for only $25. It came with all of this.
It also Binds a book as well.

I laminated some bookmarks that say "love". It was super easy, and I really like how they turned out. Well, see how well the quality is after they are used for a while.

Except the last page, got crinkled. I guess I didn't hold it straight enough or something.

GRRRR.......

Have a great weekend!!

Sad

My heart is heavy for parents who have lost their child. This shouldn't happen.
Other the past week, it has happened 3 times to people that we know.
The last one is a dear friend of mine that I met in college in Phi Lamb, the christain sorority I was in. She had CF and was my age. They did a double lung transplant only like a week ago, and she didn't take it. She left behind her husband and parents. You can read her story here.
No matter the age, children shouldn't die before their parents. But because EVIL exists, sadly, it does happen.
Praying for these parents.

What?? Attitude??

We tried again at our Valentine Pictures, and we got one, decent one. You know how that goes. I thought trying to get a picture of Kylee was hard, but now, two kids is obviously, harder. And Jaxon's not the problem.....
I cracked up at this picture. This describes her personality so much right now. She is just learning so much, talking all the time using 2 full sentences in a row, and learning a little attitude. She likes to whine, throw herself on the floor, and stomp off. All reminds me of my days growing up, and it seems that either Brianne or I were still doing that sometimes in JUNIOR HIGH because we couldn't go somewhere, when EVERYONE else was going to be there.

So, with that, I don't think it's going to end anytime soon. But we are learning that is not the way to act. It seems that girls are so much more WHINEY, and DRAMATIC.

Speaking of talking in 2 full sentences. She said this 2 days ago.
For example: My tee tee hurts mommy. Do you want to see?
Well, I guess. Since I usually ask to see it anyways. :)

When talking with Jason, and they are acting silly MOST of the time, she will raise her hands, like "i don't know". It is so cute.

But, for some reason, lately, she totally thinks she is IN CHARGE of Jaxon. She wakes him up, she got in big trouble for that. She takes his pacy out, and brings it to me, and says "he don't need it. " Even though he's screaming, crying because she took it away. I think he needs it, sweetie!

The other day we left our CBS bible study, and we were in the car, and I was asking her what she did in her class. She told me we ate goldfish crackers and raisins, and we played, with baby dolls.
And "I didn't get a spankin'!!"
She cracks me up!!

Rudy James

First off, this is going to be the most RANDOM post I have ever done I think.
Jason calls Jaxon "Rudy James" all the time. I kind of like it; maybe for our next kid??? :)
Second off, I bet my child is MORE stubborn than yours!!
Yeah, and right now, I can easily use that line to talk about BOTH my kids!!
Yikes, makes for a rowdy household!!
On Wednesday night after church, Kylee was pulling at her ear saying it hurt. Earlier in the week she had a cough and was running a low grade fever, but nothing big. And I kept hearing "something" was going around.
I called the Dr. Thursday, and they couldn't get us in until Friday morning. She acted pretty much fine all day Thursday, as we ran errands in town, and then Thursday night, she started saying her ear hurt again.
Long story short, both kids have bronchitis. I don't really know if Jaxon does, but he went ahead and started him on some antibotic, just because he is sneezing and has the "cough". He said that was the worst thing about it, is the cough could last for 2 weeks.
But I am happy to say, that Kylee has been much more pleasant to be around today.
Speaking of running errands, I am helping with the youth/children sponsored Valentine Dinner & Fundraiser at church. It is funny because of course I like party planning, and secretly deep down inside it's a DREAM.
Do any of you have dreams, that are like really so BIG, you pretty much know they will never happen, but you still enjoy DREAMING about them??? LOL!! :)
I do. You know, dreams like, taking a coaching job at a school that needs help, working hard teaching the girls how to play, and then going to state, developing a children's craft and lesson curriculm (not like a whole book or anything), owning a party planning/scrapbook/gift shop!!

That's about it!! :)

So I stayed home with the kids Sunday morning, and then Jason stayed with them Sunday night.
We got Rodeo Tickets!! Yeah!!

I got a new laminator machine and it also binds in the mail today. I am scared to open it. But really excited about it!!

And the weather is kind of nice today, maybe I'll go for a run...........
And yesterday, I tried to take their pictures for a Valentine's Day card, who knows what was wrong with Kylee. But I put her dress on her, sat her down, and she threw a fit about not sitting where she wanted, or something.
You know, that's a BIG deal and all......
So, I got a couple of Jaxon man, maybe we will try again today.

Change

Jaxon does NOT like change, most of the time.

But then again, do any of us really like CHANGE.

Change means to make different.

Well, for us, change was needed.

From last weekend to Friday night, Jaxon was starting to wake up about every 2 hours, just fussy, wanting me to hold him. Change was needed. You see he was still in the cradle next to our bed. So, change is what we did.

On Friday, we moved Jaxon to his big boy bed all the way across the house. The first 2 nights were HORRIBLE!! Let's just say, you would think after 4 hours of crying, he would give up. Although, Jason and I are very proud of his determination and will power!! Maybe one day, it will help him in life, or maybe just help him get that "FIRST DOWN"!! :)

Anyways, he would cry, I would go in and give him the pacy, he would sleep for about 10 minutes, and then wake up again; after about 2 hours of this, I thought, this was not going good. So, I let him cry for 30 minutes straight the past 4 nights; I go in give him the pacy, and he has been sleeping longer!! Yeah!!

Last night, I think, I can't remember real clearly, but I think I only got up 3 times. So getting better!!
But, Change is not what he liked.
We have also tried rice cereal, green beans, carrots, and applesauce, and he doesn't like any of them. He literally gags, and starts spitting it out. It is quite funny, but then again what am I going to do with him. Any suggestions or ideas?
He did like this change; going to the seat in the bath tub!!

Change although tough is sometimes needed!!

Living It Up

Living it Up and Enjoying Life is what we have been up to!!
Last week, we went to the Wall Basketball Game. I think tonight, we will go again!! The kids do pretty well, so the game is actually enjoyable!! :) Seems we have been going to quite a bit of basketball games lately!!
This is what my car would look like if, I had Kylee and TWINS!!
Lexi is staying with us some, and everyone calls Jaxon and Lexi TWINS anyways!!
On Friday Night, Addisyn had her 1st ever Basketball Game!! She was so funny about it all week; Dad asked her if she was going to sweat, and she quickly responded "no"!!
And all week, if anyone asked her about her game, she would say "and all my family is going to be there."
Well, she was right!! :)

She is #7!!

I think she is more worried about her hair, her shirt, and her socks and shoes!! :)
In Sunday School on Sunday, she told the teacher, that she scored 2 points, and Brianne had to quickly say, "No Addi, the WHOLE team only scored 1 point!!"

We are learning!!

Afterwards, we went to Mejor Que Nada!! It was fun, and the food was okay. I think it is more a "San Antonio" type of atmosphere and food style. But it was fun, and loud, which is good with us, because we bring lots of kids with us!!

On Saturday, we went and watched MORE basketball. My cousin's daughter plays on an Abilene team, and she was playing in the championship game at Lincoln this past weekend. She is in the 7th grade, and does really well!! So excited for her in the upcoming years!!
More posts to come soon!!

5 Months

We've hit the 5 Month mark, and passed it!!
Friday, Jaxon turned 5 Months old!!
Here he is. I just can't figure out who he looks like. I thought he looked so cute, in his little, zip-up hoodie!!

Anyways, he is getting so big. Things he likes to do these days:

EAT - Girls I have to confess; it is all my fault. I have let my little snuggle-bunches boy, really eat whenever he wanted. Well, not really, just the past week. A couple days I had to be somewhere, and wasn't going to be able to nurse with him for a while, so instead of pumping and giving him a bottle at scheduled feeding time, I just fed him early.
Doesn't sound to bad, but then he was wanting to eat that soon ALL the time, and is waking up like at 1 something, and then at 5 something to eat in the night.
I know.... It's my fault.
So this week, we are getting a grip on this. I promise to do better little man!! :)

He can sit up supported with the boppy on the floor for about 30 seconds.
Did not like carrots at all. In fact, he was gagging trying to get them out of his mouth. He wasn't that thrilled when we tried rice cereal either; Could he be my picky eater?
Loves to watch Kylee play. They are starting to interact with each other a little now.
Still sleeps swaddled by our side of the bed.
Isn't losing his hair as bad as Kylee did at this age. It is still very dark.
Has brown eyes.
Rode in the cart at Target this last week, but didn't work very well. Needs a little more time.
Cries when he gets put in the carseat.

Rolling over both ways.

Can actually stand holding on to a toy for about 10 seconds.
Has been to San Antonio, Midland, Anson, Olfen, and Brady.
Loves going to basketball games. He just yells real loud; I guess because it is loud there!!
Has gas alot still.
Spits up alot still.

Smiles easily at people.

Thinks his mama is SOOOO Funny!!
He is so strong, and can just pull my hair every which way when he is mad.
Wearing size 3-6 month clothes, and size 2 diapers.
Best of all, he gets so excited when he sees me. It makes me think he likes me. *wink*

Speaking of my Sister

So, does this not remind you of a little Brianne, uh, only about 25 years ago.
Mom found Brianne's night gown and thought Kylee might like to wear it.
Might like to wear it, right??? SHE LOVES TO WEAR IT!!

Speaking of my sister.
Brianne got these stick-on earrings for Kylee for Christmas.

She loves to wear them too!!

Like all 20 pair in 20 minutes.......
