Pick-up Game

These kids crack me up!

The weather has been so glorious, that while hanging around outside the other day, they started a little game of football.

1. First you kick off.

2. Then you "hut it".

3. Next, one of you takes off running with the ball, while the other one chases you down and tackles you!

I offered to them, that maybe they could just play "touch" football, where you touch the person's waist; they didn't like that idea at all!

Then they laid under the picnic table resting in the "dug out!" :)

Sprayer Rides

The guys are getting busy, but the other day all 5 of us rode on the sprayer together, since it was right here by the house. It's so cool, how it works. And, I didn't have my phone with me to take pictures, but it has a computer screen that tells you which row to turn down next, and if you already have sprayed some rows, it automatically turns off the nozzle, so it won't re-spray it! So cool and big!! Maggie just screamed in excitement because it has those big windows in it, that you can see straight to the ground!

Jaxon is already planning out when he will go with Daddy to strip the cotton!! :)

Carnival Time

We had a great time dressing up and playing games at our carnival this Saturday! I am so thankful for these great group of friends we have to celebrate, and enjoy each other at this time in our lives of raising small children!

We had all the good classic games that we had last year!

And a lot of the same yummy foods!

We had two cats, a nurse, Spiderman, Cheereleader, Rodeo Clown, Construction Worker, Captain America, Fairy, Pumpkin, and a Rodeo Queen! They are so cute!!

Kindergarten Shots

Kylee went to her 5 year check-up today with our new doctor, and don't let the smile fool you.

She knew going into it she was going to get shots, but she worries so bad about things. She was whimpering walking into the doctors office.  But, she perked up when they weighed, and measured, and she even got to do a vision test. And, she was pretty happy when the doctor left the room; I think inside she thought, "He forgot about the shots!".  I knew she was going to be feisty about it, but as soon as she saw the needles, she freaked out. Anyways, she cut her finger on the edge of the needle, hence the band-aid on her finger. We were pretty dramatic about everything, but one Sonic drink later, she was goofy and silly as ever.

Impromptu Slumber Party for 6

Impromptu it was, but it was still fun! And sometimes those are the best kind. The kids aren't really expecting it, and they are so excited to hear the news of a slumber party!!

We had the 3 cousins spend the night Friday at our house. 6 KIDS in the house!! :) Addi kept saying, "What if you had 6 kids shy shy?" Let's not think about that!

Everyone eating snacks!

Everyone doing tricks with Jason! Except Maggie; she was digging around in the cabinet for a bandaid.

Jaxon got hurt, but not really, but it required a bandaid!

We yelled, whooped, and hollered, and wrestled, and cheered, in hopes that everyone would get real sleeply! :) They were all asleep about 11. Not to bad!

Recently

Last Saturday, I took the kids to a Halloween Carnival. We were only there for about an hour, and hit all the big things you do at a carnival!

The only picture I got! :(

Spiderman and a Fairy, and Maggie was a last minute Cat.

Then I rushed the kids home, and jumped in the car, with my change of clothes to go to Sweetwater for my FAVORITE cousin's (*wink*wink) Murder Mystery Party! It was a blast!! Duane drove us, and Brianne and I acted. It was a huge group, with yummy hot dogs and ice cream!!

We jumped back in the car, and were home by 10! It was a crazy day!!

On Sunday, Aunt Hay Hay arrived for about 6 days; she's still here; all 3 kids are crazy, silly, happy!! We've had a cookout on Sunday evening, stayed up late to many nights playing, and tonight we are having a Thanksgiving dinner with her because she won't be back until Christmas!!

Which, if you've seen lately, Christmas really isn't that far away!! It's only like 12 Saturdays or something. And, there's only like 45 days until Black Friday! Wahoo!! And, I have to admit I've already looked at blackfriday.com several times! Going for some big items this year! I may be one of those CAMPING! Anybody want to come with me! :)

The rain has been great! Not so great timing. These farmers are picky I tell ya. It's still good though. Hoping to get some cotton stripping done next week, or the next, if it dries up.

In the meantime, Jason wanted a project to work on. So, I went to my board on pinterest, "Projects for Jason", and he is making me this little cutie from the Land of Nod website!

Tomato Red Rolling Book Cart
He's already made it; and today is going to paint it! Feeling excited!

Here's to hoping I have some better posts coming up!

Fun @ the Mall

The kids enjoying their unusual treat of getting to play at the mall. We were there right around 10, and we were the only ones on the playground. Maggie thought it was awesome!!

Pumpkin Patch

After Jaxon got over his fit of not wanting to wear his "handsome" little shirt and shoes to the pumpkin patch, we had a great time there!!

Maggie's little sweater, was Kylee's first, and then Lexi wore it. After getting into town Sunday evening, I knew I didn't have anything festive for Kylee to wear. You know how I get with this "have to match the color of the season"! So, I went to mom's and luckily we had a white shirt, and mom appliqued the little pumpkin on, at 9 o'clock last night! Thanks mom!! :)

We love this pumpkin patch! Kylee loved the new, purple princess castle, and Jaxon loved Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and the tractor! And Maggie, could have cared less about "Willie", but she loved Minnie Mouse, and kept smiling really big!! They had a little story time, that Maggie did NOT sit still for, but Jaxon did surprisingly well!

Then, we ate our picnic lunch that consisted of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and Cheeto puffs! Yum! :)

The weather was absolutely perfect, with a gentle breeze. I wanted time to stand still. I wanted to remember them at this age forever.  I savored the moment of having all them close to me, knowing that one day all to soon, they will get older, go places, and they won't be within my reach or in my lap. Gosh, I love them.

WOJ

The past weekend I went to the Women of Joy Conference in San Antonio, with a group of women from our church! Wish a couple of others could have joined us!!

Nonetheless, we had a GREAT time!

We heard Chris Tomlin in concert on Saturday Night! At the end of the concert, he threw out HUGE beach balls, and we were all just jumping and yelling and hitting the beach balls with 3,000 other women! Even my MOM! I know; it was crazy funny! I couldn't quit laughing! He wrote so many of the Christian songs we sing! It was awesome!

We also heard Mrs. Kay from Duck Dynasty! She was funny! We have never watched an episode because we don't get the channel, but their story is awesome! And she was very careful to give God the glory for redeeming the marriage! Praise the Lord! I was in tears!

There were over great speakers as well, and of course Charles is my FAVORITE!! He leads music at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA!

Thankful for an amazing weekend!

Update on Miss Mags

Things you do at the Dr.'s office!

We really didn't have to wait to long. The Dr. we saw was awesome. I guess I just forget that these Dr's that are "specialized" in certain areas, basically know everything about the area they specialize in! Duh! Anyways, he practices at Dell Children's in Austin, and I feel real confident about what he told us.

Basically, she has something called Toddlers Diarrhea. She fits the criteria for it: a happy, healthy, growing, and developing toddler that has diarrhea.  With some diet management and time they can outgrow it by the time they are being potty trained. If for some reason, she still has it chronic at that point, they will do some further testing in Austin.

For now, they are going to do a couple more stool samples, just to re-check a few things, but he doesn't think anything will show up.  I clearly asked him about any childhood diseases and he saw no signs of concern for that.

Praise the Lord! God has been good to us!

Thank you so much for those of you who have shown concern!

October 1

First day of October, means we (because I like to include myself in the important stuff around here) are busy spraying cotton, and getting the strippers ready!

He seems to think the cotton is "ok" this year. Guess we'll  have a busy few weeks around here!
