Red Ribbon Week Day 4

She kept saying, "I just really love this hat!"

And when, I picked her up this afternoon, she had it pulled all the way done, staring at the boy in line behind her! Silly girl!!

Trunk or Treat

When is October going to be OVER? It seems like it's taking forever!!

We had Trunk-or-Treat last night, combined with some carnival games! I think the kids had a good time!

Addi, the Clown. Fits her perfectly. Always Happy.

This kid cracks me up. You need to take him to Vegas with you! Every year at the Halloween games, he doesn't even pay attention to what is going on, and HE WINS!! It sort of made Kylee mad last year!! Ha!! He won at the Pick-A-Cup game, where you try to pick which cup the ball is under, after they have moved them around a bunch! Of course, he picked the eye patch!

Sweet Maggie. Until you take something she wants. Then Mean Maggie.

She's cute though!!

Maggie and her friend from church nursery. They are about 3 weeks apart! And they fight like siblings!

Wonder Woman!

Batman!

This is one of our pastor sons'. He is in 8th grade, and obviously a funny guy! We have an awesome group of older boys at church, and they just love on our kids, and pick them up, and let them sit on them, and race them, play basketball with them, buy them cokes, and our KIDS love them!! Thankful for the fun-loving, full of life guys that are willing to run the carnival games for all these kids, and do things to make them laugh!!!!

Look who got glasses!!

He looks so good in them!! He only needs them to see the board! And he wore them to church Sunday!!

Red Ribbon Week

The month of October is lasting forever!! But, dress up days for Red Ribbon Week, make it go by faster!!

Monday, she wore a cape to school for Be A Hero, Not a Zero day.

And yesterday, she wore crazy socks!!!

Fun times!!

Morning Routine

Cartoons and Coffee!!

Harvesting

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Harvest Time!

With the lack of rain the first of the year, and then it raining 8 inches at the end of May, the guys ended up planting all their acres in cotton. They started harvesting a couple weeks ago, and have about 700 acres done, and about 2,000 to go. It's making good, Praise the Lord!

We stopped Sunday morning before church to check on one place. Jason thinks this is the best cotton we have this year! He's a hard workin' man right now. Thankful!

PP Trip 2

Kindergarten got to take their first field trip to the same pumpkin patch we went to the other day! Kylee with her friends, and her class at school!

Maggie was there, and in a bad mood, for some reason. I think she was hungry, but anyways, she continued to yell loudly, that she wanted to go home.

Not sure of all these kids running around!

And Jaxon found a Kindergarten buddy from Kylee's class!

Happenings

Kaci came over, and we made Popcorn Balls for the teachers at our school. And these guys helped!

Ever since, her birthday this girl has been begging for me to come eat with her. I don't think she likes me as much, as she likes the food I bring her! ;)

Sidewalk Art

The kids played with sidewalk chalk the other day! Kylee was very proud, and very detailed with her picture. She loves to do the zigzag around because she has noticed chevron everywhere. :) And, she wrote everyone's name and boxed around them!

At the top, she wrote "give thanks" with a pumpkin.

Jaxon drew too, but he wasn't as detailed as Kylee, but he was for sure to get the zigzag around it! Ha!

Tradition

We went to the local Pumpkin Patch yesterday morning, and the weather was perfect!!

They took their picture with most of the characters!! It is such a nice pumpkin patch, and BIG!

Duck Dynasty was on Jaxon's list to take a picture with!! And Maggie loved Princess Sophia! And Minnie Mouse!! We had a nice sack lunch at 10:30 because my children were starving! :)

Seriously!

This weekend we had a Ladies Night at church. And made a really cute craft, and ate some seriously good food!! :)

Everyone in the family said what they were thankful for......

Seriously, "pickled pig feet"!! Nobody in this family can take anything, seriously!

School Days

Kylee's been doing good at school. We've made it through our first 6 weeks. On Tuesday, we had Picture Day at school. We had the outfit sitting out for at least 5 days in advance knowing this is what she would wear. But, the morning of, she decided she hated the shirt, and was worried about her shoes for PE, and needed a sweater because it was cold. But, I was NOT giving in, and by the time she left, she was sort of smiling. Being a mom can be tiresome sometimes!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures that she took at school with Mr. Fuzzy Pickles! :) I thought she looked adorable!

And then this morning happened. She had switched desks at school, so she wanted me to come in and see her new desk! When she was about to sit down, she yelled rather loudly, "Mom, did we do my homework?!" I just stood there with thoughts racing through my head..... Uh no, we didn't Kylee. And the tears started coming! Ha! Her teacher was not worried about it, and another Mom was there that didn't do theirs either! Poor Kylee!

I'll claim it. Worst Mom of the Year! :(

West TX Boy

I can't say that all boys in West Texas dream of playing football and farming, but this one of ours sure does.

He can kick the football pretty good for 4 years old. He will kick it and run and pick it up, and then run in for a touchdown with his hands in the air! Ha! Then he'll kick it back the other way! And do it over again!

When I was younger I would dream of what my son would look like, not knowing if I would really even have one.

Jaxon is everything I've ever dreamed of in a boy. I love how he looks like his Daddy, and when he wakes up he asks "Where is Daddy?" then I can see him thinking to himself about the farm life. He has always told me he wants to be a farmer or a rancher, like Paw Paw; those are his go-to answers, but the other day he told me he wanted to be a football player. I love to see him dream about things. He is the epitome of a boy: smells bad, dirt under his fingernails all the time, does nasty things, and is always ready to say a joke or laugh really loud at a joke. He loves superheroes, making his cars go fast, and his favorite thing is aggravating his sisters. He's all boy.

Y'all, he has stolen my heart for good.

Cheerin' for the Hawks

The Kindergarten and 1st graders that went to cheer camp this summer got to cheer at the Pep Rally on Friday.

She really didn't want to that morning, but luckily she got out there, and I was so happy she did, because she improved SO much!

I mean at the camp this summer she never lifted her arms! But, I do have to say I think the cheer they taught them was hard, with lots of movements, and of course, 2-Bits is hard too!!

Carnival

We had the school carnival on Saturday!

Our costumes are: A Cowboy (with a gun, that made the whole costume), Minnie Mouse, and Wonder Woman. We managed to pretty much have the costumes on hand. I bought some cheap shoes for Maggie and painted them yellow, and we had everything else!

The carnival was FUN! Kylee ran around by herself this year. She's very comfortable their, and has made some friends, so that makes the carnival enjoyable. Karter WON at the coke toss so many times; he gave one to Kylee. Maggie liked everything, and immediately ate her candy. Ha! But, her favorite was the DUCK POND, where she would pick only the yellow ducks. Yellow is her favorite color! Jaxon's just happy going where Kylee goes.

Kylee with her friend, Emma, the Indian!! They are such sweet girls!

Kylee and I stayed when it was over to help clean up. It's amazing how fast everyone can break it down. Anyways, it was fun! Looking forward to many more years at the carnival! Now, by the time, Maggie is in 4th or 5th grade, I may be looking forward to being DONE with the carnival! Ha!

Staff

Sweet Maggie had to go see Dr. Patyrak last week, for a type of staff on her bottom. :( And I definitely do not win "MOM of the YEAR" on this. Back in July, I took her in because she had dots on her bottom, well after that, they came back, and have been there ever since. So, I finally decided to take her back in, and I'm glad I did! She just never complained about them, or itched, or ran fever like an infection, or anything, so I just ignored them.

Anyways, we got a stronger antibiotic, and are bathing her bottom in a couple different things, and putting a cream on it. It was gone within a couple days of starting the medicine. She's a trooper, and a happy girl most of the time!

She looked so cute before church on Sunday, and so full of personality, and opinionated!

And the pig-tails are a MUST!!

NNO

We sure enjoyed National Night Out last night. And I must say the helicopter leaving was awesome! Jaxon was in AWE!! But, he would NOT get in the helicopter or even close!

It was sure fun to run around with Emma and Easton! The Sheriff talked to them, and the fire truck was fun too!!

Pink Run

So Brianne and I wanted to run the 5K for the Pink Ribbon Run. I asked Kylee if she wanted to run in the "PINK" run, and she immediately said YES! She thought this was a color run, and this was the PINK one. Silly girl!

Anyways, she DID NOT want to get out of bed that day, but by the time we got there, she was acting silly! My mom ran with her, I mean, kind of. :)

Here they are at the start, and then some of Kylee finishing! She did really good. There were some kids in front of her, but they were older like, 10-12 years, and only one little one in front of her.

Then we ran the 5K, and about died. But, it was good for us, and a great cause!

And she made the newspaper!

Daily Questions

This is what our nights look like. All of them gathered around Jason playing the "question" game. We all end up laughing at Maggie because she doesn't know the answers. Ha! They LOVE it!

Questions are easier for Maggie like:
What is your favorite color?
What is your second favorite color?
Name one of your uncles.
What color is a tractor?

Questions for Jaxon are usually like this:
What is the biggest equipment on the farm?
What color does the cotton turn?
What do we use to harvest the cotton?

Questions for Kylee are the hardest:
Who was the first president of the US?
Who is our pastor at church?
Who is the song person at church?
Count to some number.
How to spell some word from school?

The funniest was the other night, Jason said, "Ok if Maggie gets this question right, we don't have to brush our teeth!" Obviously he was going to make the question so hard that she wouldn't get it right. Ha!

Who is the president of the US right now? She said, "Josh and Melissa!" Jaxon started crying hysterically because he didn't want to brush his teeth!

Good times.

Goodness

The weather is glorious right now, and sharing it with these people at this time in our lives is just pure goodness.

We stay outside as much as possible these days.

Riding Bikes. Jaxon and Kylee have started doing the weave. You know what I'm talking about. Where you weave through the yellow lines on the road. That's like a fun childhood memory of mine. I know. I was a loser! Ha!

Jaxon and Maggie and I went to the park the other morning.

Jaxon has learned to swing by himself, so he loves doing it at home too!

Jaxon's Bike Story.

Jaxon left his bike behind the car, and Jason ran over it. He didn't cry or anything, but we told him we weren't buying a new one. The next week he was asking for a bike to ride, but he didn't want to ride a girl one.

So Jason got Kylee's old Hello Kitty bike, and spray painted it silver. He really likes it.  Now, we call him the Silver Bullet because he likes to go fast!!

A Good Time

We had a good time Saturday afternoon. We cleaned up real quick from Kylee's Birthday Party, packed a cooler, and headed out with the gator for our 2nd trip to ride 4-wheelers with our Sunday School Class.

Do I tell you we have the most awesome Sunday School Class?

There was an extra 4-wheeler this time, so Jason decided he would have more fun on that, so I ended up driving the Gator, and Amanda rode with me!

Boys, I sometimes love how they never grow up. Sometimes. :) Jason enjoyed following Tyrel, our fearless leader that's an ER visit waiting to happen, doing all sorts of steep hills and fast speeds! And one girl did turn her 4-wheeler over sideways when she was going up a steep hill. It scared me, but she is like a hoss so she was fine! Ha!

The best part about it to me is seeing the huge trees down by the river, and the beautiful water, and rocks. It gorgeous!!

Jason testing out the water seeing if we could ride across. Too deep.

We had a really good time!!
