Dress-up Armoire

Jason made Kylee a little armoire for her dress up clothes; I found the plans on pinterest; it's painted pink the same color as her room now, but in the new room it'll go better with her wall colors! She loves it! I found some cute polka dot hangers in town! I am also wanting to add a mirror to the other end. Little girls are fun!

8

Addisyn turned 8 on Thursday! What a birthday she will always remember!!

We celebrated in Arlington; we ate supper at Papadeaux's; we opened presents there, and she got a dessert too!

She loves to dress up and do makeup, likes to be a mama to any little kid out there; she likes to fix her dolls hair, and her cousins hair, and it actually looks good. She likes watching cartoons, and playing with her pink volleyball, until her brother popped it! Most of all she loves being the oldest and in charge!

Love her as my own!

Go Green

We loaded up and ventured to Arlington to cheer on the Hawks at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium on Thursday.

If you travel with mom, you will definitely find a few stores to shop at, and we found a really big REAL Christmas tree!

The stadium is HUGE; that is an understatement! It's so big!

The kids did really good; we managed to only buy a popcorn and water! It was pricey!! :)

We spent the night and blazed it back home the next morning!

Christmas Tree Farm 2013

I guess it's a tradition now; we've gone to the Christmas Tree farm for 3 years in a row, and always turns out to be lots of fun.

I love the little farm around here. They start with the pledge of allegiance at the flag pole and all the kids have their little hands on their hearts. So sweet!

Then we go on the hay ride around the place to see all the trees! There are a lot there; big ones and little bitty ones!

Then we get to decorate a tree! And then "un" decorate it!! :)

At the end, they each got to roast a marshmallow and eat a smore!! Yummy! And they have a gift shop there, that has really cute Christmas decorations, and I would love to have one of their fresh wreaths one year!

Good memories made with my little munchkins!!

Out and About

We've just been going here and there, lately!

We saw these cows on the side of the road the other night. I thought it was a bear! :) All I knew it was big and brown and hairy!!

We've been sporting new hair dos!

I've been collecting some things for Kylee's new room!

This past weekend we went to Midland to see Kelli, and do a little Christmas shopping! We went to this really cute little store for women's clothing. I thought this banner was really cute, so I too a picture of it, and now I think I can make it! :) The clothes were really cute, and I got a cute scarf for the Christmas exchange! And then I found out we have one here. It's called Pink Tumbleweed downtown somewhere. Going to have to check it out!

5 Reasons Why I Let my Kids Believe in Santa Claus

I came across this article on facebook, and thought it was worth sharing.

If you know me, I am opinionated about most everything out there, but sometimes I don't know how to put it in words that make sense. It always makes sense in my head though. :) Anyways, I don't know anything about this woman, and I don't know if I agree with her on other things, but I thought this was a good perspective.

Nursing Home Visit

We joined our children's department to the Nursing Home on Sunday afternoon to hand our 150 Christmas cards to each resident.

What a blessing it was. Maybe it's because we all had cabin fever, and it was so nice to be out and about, or maybe it was the great friends God has blessed us with, but it was such a sweet afternoon.

The little old people are so happy to see the kids, and many of them squeeze them, poor Kylee got kissed, and one of them got a ride on their electric cart!! It was a good time.

Afterwards, we stopped at Starbucks for a hot chocolate!!

Grateful for small opportunities like these.

Life

Life is good.

Thanksgiving was great.

Except for my car breaking down on the way to Sweetwater. We ended up leaving it on the side of the road, and then going back to get it later. Thankful for a great brother-in-law with an awesome trailer, and getting it fixed really quick the next day!

We really enjoyed our time with family, and are so thankful for each of them! And, had a safe, and fun time shopping a little bit on Thursday evening with mom, Brianne, and cousin Chelsea. So glad she comes for this! Good times!

I've been doing a little crafting lately. Jason used some pallets and made me some little wood signs for Jaxon's room. I painted on them, and then antiqued them with some wax. I think I like how they turned out.

And, we've been sanding, staining, painting, distressing, waxing, some chairs for Brianne's dining room. I LOVE how they are turning out! And, she got a gray dresser for Addi's room today from a local lady that does furniture! It's super cute too!! Love doing little crafting things!!

And, the not so fun part, but it will be beneficial in the end. Organizing, ridding, and boxing up one closet and cabinet at a time!! My party closet was first! Ahh!! But, it's cleaned out and I only ended up with 3 boxes of party stuff. Is that bad? I didn't think it was that bad. :)

And, tonight I finally finished the Christmas tree, and the kids did ornaments on their little tree, and they've been making homemade ornaments of every kind with Jason, so we have some strung everywhere. It'll be here before we know it!

Monkey Bars

Kylee did the monkey bars all by herself at the park on Tuesday! She was excited, and couldn't wait to tell Daddy! So, she did it again, and wanted me to take a picture this time!

Fun Party

We got to go to a fun birthday party this weekend, for the sweetest, friend, Emma (in the blue and red leotard)!!

They got to stretch, jump, and then do front rolls, balance beam, handstands, and the big trampoline!

Then we ate yummy cupcakes! I heard one of our kids say, "This was the best party ever!!"

Calico Critters

Do any of you remember playing with these little critters growing up? We had a few of them, and I loved them.  Mom kept ours, but hasn't gotten them out for the grandkids yet. Good memories!!

Tall Towers

Crazy girl building tall towers!! Don't know if standing on a plastic box on top of a bar stool is a good idea, but she was determined! :)

20 Months

Maggie is 20 months old, and with her being the 3rd, I have decided this is the best age!! :)

She's so much fun! She wants to play with the others, she's easily entertained, she's independent on some things, but not to the point of having to have her way. She's pretty easy going. She's compliment on the car seat and having her diaper changed.

And, I think she looks like me at this age. :) Of course, Jason disagrees! Can't one of them look like me!!

She loves markers right now; so we are having to put them away while she is awake, but for some reason, there's always one left out, and she always finds that ONE.  So, she wrote with black marker on her face, and red marker on her feet.

We took her to a check up with the same dr about her stomach issues again.  Ever since we incorporated fiber in her diet on purpose, within two days, she was completely fixed. So for the past month, we've just been trying to regulate it better with how much fiber.  Everything is good with her, and she seems to feel great!

Daddy's Girl

I love seeing Kylee so in love with her daddy. She likes him the most of anybody she told me. She told me should would rather work with daddy than go with her friends. It's just the sweetest thing.  When he leaves out the door, she runs after him, wanting a "hug and a kiss."  Since he's been working longer days right now, she can't wait for him to get home.

The other good thing is Jason realizes how much she hangs on his every word
and that she notices when he acknowledges her.

So, they have been coloring together in the evenings.  Every night she asks him to color, and he does. Jason has always been so good at turning off the tv, getting off the ipad, and playing with the kids. In fact most evenings the tv is not even on because of him.

They've colored about 10 big pages over the past week, and she is so PROUD!!

Work Hard, Play Hard

A little work....

and

A little play.....

November has been so BUSY already, and it's not going to slow down any time soon! How could it get any busier than October? Jason and the guys are in full swing harvesting; they are having to work in between the rains, which is making it a little more difficult this year. We are doing our own thing some days, and other days, we are getting to help out a little, and ride the strippers and work the module builder, which is always fun! :)

Getting ready to redo LOTS of furniture that I am excited about! I am thinking about sanding and refinishing/ painting, a chest, stool, and vanity for Kylee, 8 chairs for Brianne, a mirror for Jaxon's bathroom, and some pallet projects!! We shall see how much actually gets done!!

Life is good!

Our first Play

Not the best pictures, but Brianne and I took the big girls to the musical, Pinkalicious here in town.  It was fun! The girls liked it a lot; Sometimes Kylee didn't know when to laugh, but she would look at Addi, and if she was laughing then she would laugh too! Silly girl! Ended it with 1/2 price Sonic drinks!! :) It was a fun afternoon!!

Pick-up Game

These kids crack me up!

The weather has been so glorious, that while hanging around outside the other day, they started a little game of football.

1. First you kick off.

2. Then you "hut it".

3. Next, one of you takes off running with the ball, while the other one chases you down and tackles you!

I offered to them, that maybe they could just play "touch" football, where you touch the person's waist; they didn't like that idea at all!

Then they laid under the picnic table resting in the "dug out!" :)

Sprayer Rides

The guys are getting busy, but the other day all 5 of us rode on the sprayer together, since it was right here by the house. It's so cool, how it works. And, I didn't have my phone with me to take pictures, but it has a computer screen that tells you which row to turn down next, and if you already have sprayed some rows, it automatically turns off the nozzle, so it won't re-spray it! So cool and big!! Maggie just screamed in excitement because it has those big windows in it, that you can see straight to the ground!

Jaxon is already planning out when he will go with Daddy to strip the cotton!! :)

Carnival Time

We had a great time dressing up and playing games at our carnival this Saturday! I am so thankful for these great group of friends we have to celebrate, and enjoy each other at this time in our lives of raising small children!

We had all the good classic games that we had last year!

And a lot of the same yummy foods!

We had two cats, a nurse, Spiderman, Cheereleader, Rodeo Clown, Construction Worker, Captain America, Fairy, Pumpkin, and a Rodeo Queen! They are so cute!!

Kindergarten Shots

Kylee went to her 5 year check-up today with our new doctor, and don't let the smile fool you.

She knew going into it she was going to get shots, but she worries so bad about things. She was whimpering walking into the doctors office.  But, she perked up when they weighed, and measured, and she even got to do a vision test. And, she was pretty happy when the doctor left the room; I think inside she thought, "He forgot about the shots!".  I knew she was going to be feisty about it, but as soon as she saw the needles, she freaked out. Anyways, she cut her finger on the edge of the needle, hence the band-aid on her finger. We were pretty dramatic about everything, but one Sonic drink later, she was goofy and silly as ever.
