4 MONTH Check-Up

Kylee is weighong in at 12 lbs. 6 oz. and 24in long.

Height: 40th percentile

Weight: 30th percentile

Dr. Patyrak said she is growing just fine. We can start her on rice cereal now, and then a few vegetables later. We will see how this goes. He said it was perfectly normal for her to still be waking up in the night to eat. He said less than 5% of breast fed babies are sleeping through the night at 4 months. She was SOOOOO close to rolling over the other day. (back to stomach). And she grabs her toys and puts them directly in her mouth. :) Here are a few 4 month pictures.

She leans to her side every time she sits in the Bumbo.

Interesting Conversation

I overheard Jason asking Kylee if she wanted a brother or a sister.

WHAT?????

Although, this should not be a surprise to me because he was talking about another kid when Kylee was only a month old.

5K

Saturday Morning I went and ran a 5K that was sponsored by the Road Lizards and ASUFit. I won my age divison. I really don't think there was very many in my age group, but Hey. It is part of a Trail Series. We ran off of Red Bluff Road somewhere. It was a huge hill with lots of rocks and dirt. It was very tiring, but running on the way back I passed 3 people. YEAH!! Now, you may be thinking great job.

Well, the really good people were running the 10K. They are awesome. It is a Series of races; the next race will be Feb. 7, and then again on Feb. 21. I am hoping I will be able to run a 10K by the end of March. Anyone want to join me next time!!

Anyways, I got this certificate and a water bottle. It was kind of corny. :)

Pictures

The cousins came over yesterday and played with Kylee. We went outside since it was such a pretty day. Who knew it could be 80 degrees in January?

Bringing you up to date

Not alot going on around here this week!! Just some random thoughts:
- I have only reffed one time this week, but next week I have games on 4 days. So that will keep me plenty busy. And then after that I think i will slow down considerably since jr. high basketball ends the first week of Feb.
- Kylee has spent two nights in her big girl bed. I have been an emotional wreck for some reason. It is scary, but I was up all night with her in her cradle next to her bed, so if I'm going to be up all night anyways we might as well get used to the big bed. That was my thinking. Well, the first night we didn't swaddle her. She really only got about 5 hours of sleep, and I got about half that. Then last night, we swaddled her and she only woke up once at 2:45 to eat, and then at 8 this morning. This night time stuff will wear you out.
- For some reason, I feel like I have been doing is laundry and dishes. I don't really know why. It just seems they are never ending.
- Have y'all ever been in Tuesday Morning? I did a long time ago, and then just recently went in there this week. You can really find some cool things if you dig through some of the stuff. I liked it.
- Kylee blew bubbles the other night for the first time!!
- Jason's dad mentioned the other day about turning our garage into a Playroom this summer (if it doesn't rain, then there won't be a crop). That is exciting that they are even talking about it.
- I will leave you with some pictures of the little one.

At Target the other day.

We must be scooting around some. This is how she was when I went back in there. And she is blowing bubbles here. Look at her cheeks.

No more using the Bouncer. She doesn't want to lay back anymore. (Yes, we were supervising her here.)

It's Official....I am an Official!!!

HAHAHAHA......I have been wanting to say that. I have now refereed 5 games, and love it!!! My first 2 games were Thursday, and I really don't think I did that good. To the lay person, I probably looked okay, but in reffing(sp?) terms, I was no good. Today, I had 3 more games, and I think they went a lot better. I love being around the game, and getting to be involved in some way. There is a lot of stuff to think about while out there. And you have to make the split second decision, and go on your own judgment. That is so hard. I went to the official's meeting the other night, and there is a lot of competition among ref's that I didn't know existed. Everyone wants to ref the "BIG" game. So exciting!!!

And Kylee is doing great. We have managed to get all our feedings rearranged nicely!! Haven't had to use pumped milk yet!! Yeah (because I can't see to get very much)

My Baby is Getting BIG

On Christmas, Kylee turned 3 months old. She is getting so big. And starting to do so many new things.
We can grab our toes. And she loves it!!

We are getting a few fat rolls places. And she has to wear her blue jeans unbuttoned because the 3 month is to small, but the 3-6 is to big.

Isn't that how we all feel after the holidays???

She enjoys the excersaucer most of the time. Which is becoming really handy.

I know this is how every child is; they just learn things so fast; it amazes me.

Also, we went to the Wall Basketball Game last night (since my ref game got cancelled). Kylee sported her Wall Hawk T-Shirt.

AND....I nearly forgot to tell you about one of her Christmas presents. A PINK .22 Rifle from her Uncle Josh (and Daddy). It is called "The Cricket".

Kylee's Baby Dedication

This past Sunday we had Kylee's Baby Dedication at church. It is basically at time for Jason and I, to dedicate her life to the Lord. We promise to raise her in a Godly home, were Christ is the center. We promise to raise her up in a way that she may accept Christ as her Savior, which will be the most important thing in her life. We do not believe this imparts salvation on her. It is more for the parents. It was very nice. And Jason's whole family came.

Is he not proud or what???

One happy and blessed family!!

Okay, on a side note. I wanted Jason to take a picture of me in my referee outfit. After he finally quit laughing, he got a picture. BUT, it is too embarrassing I can not post it. :) And I was supposed to Ref my first game tonight in Ballinger, but it got cancelled. I still have 3 games for Saturday.

We are HERE!!

Hello Everyone!! Sorry it has been so long. We survived Christmas; it was absolutely wonderful and of course the best Christmas we have ever had because we had Kylee with us. I will just hit the highlights of all the celebrations.
We went to Sweetwater for my mom's side of the family, and on the way down there we stopped in Bronte to get the kids something to drink. My mom, Brianne, and I were all like we need a little Dr. Pepper to split. We just wanted a few sips. Well, Jason came back to the car with this.....

It was a 64OZ Dr. Pepper!!! Needless to say, we didn't drink all of it!!

Here is a picture of Kylee in her First Christmas outfit with my cousin Andrew. She wore it alot.

Christmas morning we had a real quick family Christmas. Santa did come and brought Kylee a baby doll, blanket, and a Busy Zoo toy thing. She didn't care!! :) But my mom growing up always made something for us that came from Santa. For example, if we got a kitchen, she made us aprons. So she made Kylee and Addi matching blankets for their baby dolls. They are really cute. You can barely see it in the picture.

Kylee with her cousins. She already loves them and likes being around them.

We attended a lot more Christmas celebrations, but I don't have pictures from them, so I won't bore you with all the detaiils.
