So exciting!!

Well I have been bitting my tongue to tell all my blogging friends that Jason and I are having a baby!!! Yes!! I am extremely excited. It all started Saturday when I had not started yet, so I went home and took a pregnancy test, and it said positive. I was literally flipping out. I call Jason immediately and he comes home. He of course is like "I already knew it", and is very calm about everything. I on the other hand was paniced, not upset or anything, just my heart was racing. It was a thrill. Then he's like maybe you should do another one. So I do another one, and it still says positive. So were like okay, I guess that are pretty certain, so we go out to eat with Josh (Jason's brother), and we told him the news. But jason still makes me take a 3rd pregnancy test to the restaurant with us to use after supper. Silly Guy!! So the 3rd and final says positive again. We then go to Jasons' parents first that night and tell them. This will be the first grandchild on his side, and they were so sweet and kind of emotional. His dad is beaming; you can just tell. Then we rush to my parents house, and on the way there I call Brianne and she is escatic. So they all get back in the car and head to my parents house because they want to be there when we tell them. So we tell my parents and they scream and holler and hug everyone. It was really cool.
So today, I had a dr. appt at 9 this morning, and I am thinking just do another pregnancy test and feel out a lot of paperwork, so Jason wasn't going to come with because he had to meet with the people we are buying so land from anyways. I end up getting an ultrasound done, so we actually have pictures of our "poppy seed". I will scan it in later. So everything is really good. I am about 5 weeks, so the due date is September 30th.
I know that is alot for now. Please keep the baby in your prayers that everything will be healthy.

CAR Update

Well, I don't really know what to tell you about the car. As of Friday, Jason said they had it working. He said there is something that is causing it NOT to idle when it is just sitting there, but they thought they had it fixed. This weekend anytime we went somewhere for some reason he was driving it, so I was never in the drivers seat. Well, this morning I was running late again (I am going to have to get my alarm clock fixed), and I go to start the car, and in the process of trying to leave it dies on me 4 times in the driveway. 4 times. So I am in Jason's truck again. So obviously it is not fixed. I am a little upset that we "thought" it was fixed all weekend, and then Monday morning, it doesn't work again. Anyways, so I don't know what is going to happen with it.

My Car Wouldn't Start :)

Yep, you read it write. That is a big smiley face after the sentence "My Car wouldn't start this morning." hehheehe I was already extremely late for school, like 15 minutes later than we are supposed to be there, the road are wet and maybe icy, and I walk out to start my car, and it won't start. It sounds like it tries, and then it just won't ever turn over and start. So I walk back in the house, and yell "Jason, my car won't start"!! So he comes and tries the same thing I did, and no luck for him either. All the while smiling inside. :) So I drove Jason's truck to school.

So the point of the smiley face is, maybe I should just get a new car, RIGHT???? Yeah, I think so. I'll keep you updated on the situation!!!

Chicago Bound

We found out on Saturday that Jason's sister, Haley, will be attending college in Chicago. She got accepted to the Moody Bible Institute. We are really excited for her. I know that his parents are excited, but at the same time sad because that is a long way away. She is exteremely thrilled; she really wanted to get in. For the application process, she had to write 5 essays over certain topics they assign; it was a long process. So yeah for HALEY!!

My friend Shaunna posted a CrockPot recipe exchange. So if you know a good CrockPot recipe feel free to post it.
I have enjoyed reading the recipes. Here mine is.
Beef Stew
3-4 potatoes
baby carrots
yellow onion
beef stew meat
beef stew seasioning mix
Peel and cut potatoes into medium size chunks. I usually throw about half the bag of baby carrots in. Dice up 1/2 of a yellow onion. Put all into the crockpot. Flour the beef stew meat and then brown in a tablespoon of grese. Once browned, put into the crockpot. Add the seasoning mix, and fill with water to where it covers everything. Stir and cook on low for about 8 hours.
I have made this twice, and it has turned about really good, and it is really easy. Jason and his brother are really picky eaters, and they both like it.

Max Lucado's 3:16

For Christmas, I got the Max Lucado 3:16 book. I was curious of how you can write a whole book over just one verse in the Bible. I am not very far into the book, but it is really good. And it amazes me how you can write a book over this one verse because of how much it holds. I once heard a sermon preached on this one verse, and he talked about how in his opinion this was the greatest verse in the Bible because this single verse holds the GREATEST things.

"For God" --> He is the greatest there ever was, is, and will be.

"so loved" --> But the greatest of these is love 1 Corn 13:13

"the world" --> There is no object, no being greater than the world.

I can't remember how this preacher related the rest of the verse to the greatest, but you get the point. I am thinking I am going to like the rest of the book. But we must still remember where this verse first came from, the Bible.

Has anyone else out there read it or heard anything about it?

AMERICAN GLADIATORS

Since everyone has been posting about TV shows they like (MAINLY CHELSEY), I will share as well. I love American Gladiators. I am so excited that it has come back on. Brianne and I would watch it growing up, and we really enjoyed it. I guess seeing it now reminds me of that, and Jason really likes it as well. I always root for the Contenders, and some of their stories make me want to cry. But they do not have the challenge with the hudge balls that you had to run into the gladiators. I don't know the name of that one. But they do have some good challenges still:

Joust
Power Ball
Eliminator
Pyramid
Wall
Hang Tough

So we are really excited about AMERICAN GLADIATORS!!!

Here are some great action photos from the first night:

This Gladiator scares me!!

This was the contender I wanted to win, but she didn't!! She busted her nose in the Eliminator challenge and finished anyways with blood running down her face. Isn't it awesome!!

My Gluteus Maximus is SORE :)
Yes, on Friday, I went to a PE workshop with all the other PE teachers around the area. And we had to participate in the games that were being demonstrated. It was just all normal PE games that my kids do everyday. But oh man, I woke up Saturday and I was sore all over. My right arm was sore from throwing balls, my quads, my back muscles, and my butt, like I previously mentioned. Sunday was such a beautiful day outside that I went and ran a mile. It was so hard; I know I ran extremely slow. So guess what, I am sore again today.
But yeah for being sore, because that means working out actually did some good!!

Where did the time go?

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I have not posted in what seems like forever. I rarely had time to post and then when I did think about posting, I just knew it would take forever because my computer at home is kind of slow.

ANYWAYS, Jason and I had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I could not have asked for anything more, but to be with him and our families during the holidays. What a blessing it was!!! Many guys at Christmas were asking for the new XBOX, Wii, or any other new game. Jason asked for a NES, which is the very first Nintendo that came out. So sure enough his sister found one for him, and that was probably his favorite gift. He has been enjoying playing all the Super Mario Bro.s games. I kind of like it too.

Here are some pictures from harvesting:

Enjoy!!!
