Who is Two?

my fabulous, precious, cute as a bug niece, Addisyn!!!

yes, she is two. it feels like yesterday we were sitting at the hospital for 12 hours, when she finally came on monday, december 19, 2005. this little girl has changed our lives dramatically. it is so neat to see how she learns things and catches on to things. not only do i want everything for her, but jason absolutely adores her. he just gets tickeld inside when she smiles at him, or hugs him, or comes to him. and i feel the same way. one day jason was excited because he learned that, "while standing at church, addi ran around the corner, and everybody turned and looked at her, and i guess she was embarrassed, and the only person standing there in our family was jason, and she ran up to him, and held her arms out for him to hold her." that made his day, his week. he knew that if anybody else in the family had been standing there she would had gone to them, but he didn't care. :)

Happy Birthday to the little tiny girl that has blessed our lives!!

I'M FREE AT LAST!!!

Well, for about 7 days and then I am back for basketball games. But we are out of school until MONDAY, Jan. 7!!!! YEAH!!! I am so excited about Christmas coming up. But at the same time I am kind of sad because it is all happening so fast. I haven't even had a chance to really enjoy shopping. It has all been rush, rush, rush. We have lots of exciting things going on in the next week, like I'm sure most of you do. I have been wanting to post some cotton harvesting pictures, so I will get those up asap. Hopefully, they will finish stripping by the end of this week. This picture really explains how I feel!! Enjoy the rest of your day!!

UPDATE

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything!! I have been quite busy with school, basketball, christmas shopping, life ......... This last weekend my JV Basketball Girls won the Sterling City Tourn. They played really well!! Mom, Brianne, Addi, and Karter came to watch, so that was nice. Since, I have been having so much basketball going on, I have been doing Christmas shopping on Sunday afternoons, or nights after church. Well, that doesn't give me alot of time. So I am still behind on all the Christmas shopping, and sending out Christmas cards to friends.

BUT on the good news, there are only 6 school days left until Christmas BREAK!!! YEAH!!

Hope you are all doing good. I will try to post sooner. We have a basketball game tonight in Water Valley!!

RAMBLING

I know it has been over a week now since I have blogged, but I really have nothing to blog about. We got back home from Lubbock on late Saturday. It was a nice trip with the basketball girls. We did not get to go shopping. :( On that note, I am way far behind on Christmas shopping. I am just really stuck on what to get the dad's and the mom's. I have Addi, Karter, and Jason done. And that is about it. I have a lot to do, and not a lot of time. This weekend my JV team is in the Sterling City Tourn, and next weekend my JV is in the Eldorado Tourn. So that takes up my weekends. Anybody have advice on good gifts this year!!! My friend Susan is doing a post a day in December, and I would really like to do that, but seeing how I didn't post for a whole week, I don't know if I would be good at it. I think I will just enjoy reading everybody else that decides to do a post a day.

Okay, now that I am done rambling I will let you go. Hope you have a good day!!

Back to Reality

Yep!! It's time to get back to the real world. We had a really enjoyable Thanksgiving break. It was so good to see family and friends that we haven't seen in a long while. Now we have 3 1/2 weeks until Christmas break. I am counting down the days!! :)

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Thanksgiving holidays are here. I am so excited for a break from the school days. This is a much needed rest. My JV basketball ended on a good note before Thanksgiving, and we are 5-2 now. Yeah! I am really enjoying getting to coach the girls. They are great. I'm sure over Thanksgiving I will be posting pictures, but here are some of Addi riding "Big Red" the other day. She absolutely loved it. And of course paw-paw has already gotten her, her own horse to ride when she is big enough. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday to a man who has always, 100% loved my mom.

Happy Birthday to a man who loves, supports, provides, teaches his children.

Happy Birthday to a man who opens his heart and loves his grandchildren like his own.

Yes, today is my dad's BIRTHDAY. He is truly a hero in my life. I heard a quote one time that said "The best thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother." I so truly believe that. He has been a role model in every area of my life: marriage, faith, friendships, disappointments, victories.

I am proud to call him my daddy.

Happy Birthday Dad!

33-31

This is the score of our first basketball game on Tuesday night. We won in OVERTIME!!! Yes, to remind you this was my first basketball game to ever coach. So I was nervous as it was, and then it has to go into overtime. My was I a wreck. :) But it all turned out good, and we won by 2. YEAH!! I was talking to the head coach, and every JV game we play will probably be a battle. So I guess I better get used to it. We are going to play so good teams right before Thanksgiving, so hopefully we can do well in those. Jason got to come and watch, so that made me happy. He is so sweet to make time to come even when they are extremely busy.

New Pictures of Addi and Karter. My niece and nephew.
How cute is he!!! He is 3 months old, and is wearing his little farm nighty(sp?).

He laughs and smiles so much now. I was trying to take a picture of him smiling, but there is a delay on my camera, and I could never get it. Here he has a little smirk. It is absoulutely adorable.

What a blessing!!!

Friday, November 2, 2007

Well, it's official. November has arrived and brought the FALL weather with him. The mornings and evenings are cool and brisk. Start getting the sweaters and jackets out.
Just a little update on what we have been up to. Halloween Night was okay. Jason is busy along with his dad and brother stripping. Yes, stripping. :) So, I went to our Trunk "r Treat at our church. It was nice to see our church reach out to little kids. I didn't realize how cool and brisk it was on Halloween. It was really chilly. But Addi and Karter are both kinda of sick so that makes for a long night. They weren't to much into trick or treating.
For some reason on Thursday nights, I just love to clean the house. It is like I am getting a head start on it before the weekend or something. And then I feel good, that I am already done cleaning before Friday or Saturday gets here. So last night, Jason didn't get home until 9, so I just cleaned away. I also made Caramel Apples, and white chocalate popcorn. Yummmm.... they both turned out yummy.
Our weekend, should be pretty calm. Nothing to exciting going on. Mom and Dad are at the PBR in Vegas with some friends. So Brianne and I are holding down the fort. HAHAHA!!! Or so we think.

Happy Halloween

Yeah, for Halloween for FINALLY getting here. Reasons I wanted Halloween to hurry up:

1. October will be over and November is HERE

2. Trick or Treating

3. Closer to Thanksgiving

4. Don't have to look at costumes in the stores anymore

5. Addi and Karter dressing up

6. CANDY, CANDY, CANDY

Today, I have to go to work still. This should count as a Holiday or something. Don't all you teachers agree!! :) But tonight, we will give candy to any trick or treaters. And their will be few. Then go to TRUNK or TREAT at church. Yeah, for more candy. I will post pictures of Addi and Karter later.

What a wonderful weekend!

On Friday night, I got to see my two best friends from Phi Lamb college days. It was so much fun to catch up on everybody's lives. Phi Lamb was having a Barn Dance. Everything was decorated so cute, and of course John Wayne was there. How awesome is that. If you have already read Chelsey's blog, you already know all of this. But I absolutely love getting to see Chelsey and Jacque. I love you girls. I will post some pictures later. I think I have a few different ones from Chelsey.

On Saturday, we had our first basketball scrimmage in Coleman. I am the JV basketball coach. They don't keep score at scrimmages, but we did really well. We have our next scrimmage today in Sonora. Wish us luck. Saturday Night, the school had their Halloween Carnival. Jason and I worked the DUCK POND. It was so fun getting to see all the little kids in their Halloween costumes. Then we went to the BINGO game. The coaches have to work it. We stayed their until after midnight.

On Sunday, we went to Sunday School, and then went to the Wall Brethren Church because Jason's sister was giving a talk about the ministry she is involved in. She volunteers at the Pregnancy Help Center. It is a place that is pro-life, and do not support any types of abortions, but rather other support to carry the baby. There is a statistic that says, if a woman can see the baby, they are least likely to get an abortion. So the center now has a sonogram machine donated by the Wall Brethren church, and in just the few months Haley has been working there, they have saved 35 lives. It just gives me goosebumps when I think about it. How awesome is that. I could go, on and on, about it.

That pretty much sums up our weekend.

YUCK!

This is what our kitchen looked liked this morning because we did not have water for 1.5 days. Our water went out Saturday night during supper, and it came back on Monday morning. So the dishes are dirty from supper Saturday night, then I made cookies, and cups and bowls from all day Sunday. YUCK!! It makes the whole house stink. Something else that stinks is that this happens about every other week.

So, I had planned all day to come home and get started on the dishes, and guess what????? Yes, my wonderful husband had already done them. He is absolutely AMAZING.

Here is a pic. This is not the actual mess, but similar.

Tag You're It!

I've been tagged by Susan. I've been instructed to write 7 things about myself, strange, crazy, funny but all true.

1. I love the fresh, clean smell of Bleach.

2. I love taking hot baths.

3. I ask Jason alot if we can have a baby ... sometimes he says sure, sometimes he says later!! I can't wait until we are pregnant! (I stole this from Susan. Hey, maybe we could be pregnant together.)

4. I am really good at making Jason mad.

5. I love spending time with Addi and Karter.

6. I am a really silly and goofy person.

7. I love going to parties.

I tag Stephanie and Chelsey.

RUNAWAY HOT DOG

I know you are thinking "WHAT?" Yes, that is correct a runaway hot dog. My kids at school really make me laugh sometimes. I get to school this morning and walk in the gym, and on one wall I have three posters up "GO" "SLOW" and "WHOA". This is were we hang different foods up, and we decide if they are go foods, slow foods, or whoa foods. Anyways, the hot dog was missing from the WHOA poster. At first I was upset and I still am kind of, but I really started having fun with it. I told them, "We had a hot dog on the loose." "And it was kidnapped sometime between the hours of 7am-8am. " They were all laughing so hard because it is funny to think about a hot dog being on the LOOSE. So I reminded everybody to be on the lookout for the RUNAWAY HOT DOG!! So if you see it let us know! :)

Little kids are so cute!!! .............................................................. SOMETIMES!!!
Sometimes they can be a pill!

Oh yeah, and I told y'all I was bad at posting on this thing!!

Yeah, for October Being Here!!!

I am so glad it is October!! October, November, and December may be my favorite months of the year. I absolutely love the weather change (which it hasn't yet), and the holidays coming up.

But right now, school and life is keeping us completely busy, and it is only going to get worse. In about a week, we start practicing basketball after school, so that will make for later nights for me. I am really enjoying my P.E. classes. For the most part, the kids are precious and cute, and say some really funny things. But there are always are few that have to put a dent in the fun things. You'll know what I'm talking about, if you are a teacher. So, it makes the days go by really long when the kids are acting bad. It is a constant fight with some of them to get them to behave. :) And I think this week has been worse because I have not been prepared as good as I should have been so that increases the discipline problems when I am not on top of my game! I am already working better for next week.

Well, hope you all had a great week. AND guess what tomorrow is,

FABULOUS FRIDAY!!

HARVEST

Before church last week, we stopped by one of Jason's fields and took pictures in the cotton. It is not white yet, but still really pretty and big. The crops this year are unbelievably good because their has been so much rain not just ours but everybody. It is a constant reminder how God blesses us and watches over us. He is absolutely amazing.

FIRST BLOG!!!

I have crossed over and have now become a blogger. I am figuring out that this takes a lot more time than I thought. So we will see how long this lasts. Jason told me not to put any picture of him on here and to not write about him. Party Pooper!!

Well, obviously this is still under major construction, but hopefully I'll get it going soon!!
