Bike Rider
Jaxon decided he wanted to take his training wheels off his bike last week. Mind you, he's only had his cast/boot off for a week at that time. And Jason told him he wouldn't put them back on for him, so it was no going back! :)
He did really good right away!
But, then he was scared, and wouldn't petal fast enough to keep him up.
But, he's been practicing a lot, so I think he'll get it in no time.
Swim Date
How cool to be invited to a swim party at a pool like this!!
We sure enjoyed the pool,
and the water bounce house!
And of course the sweet friends!

Double Bike Party
Karter and Lexi celebrated their birthday with a Bike Party!
Brianne had the idea to make a bike car wash using pvc pipe and pool noodles! It turned out really good.
They also decorated their wheel spokes with jewels!
Lexi is 4!
Karter is 7!

Schlitterbahn '14
Mom and Dad took us to Schlitterbahn last week! We were there for two days, which was long enough, but everyone is ready to go back. Even Jaxon, who didn't like it all that much. :)
It was a blast! Look at Kylee the Fashionista girl! Ha!
Morning Day 2, and still happy! We stayed on Schlitterbahn which was really nice, not having to get tired, wet kids into the car and go to a hotel.
We played mostly at the "old" side, and they all loved these slides at this pool area.
Of course, the bigs did awesome on the rides, and wanted to keep doing them, and could have stayed more days, even Lexi did great, but Jaxon and Maggie were iffy at times on the rides. Maggie was actually better than Jax. I don't know why he was scared; maybe he thought it was too real.
We rode the trolley to the "new" side both days, and I didn't get any pictures there. We went around and around in the giant wave pool, which the kids loved, and the Pirate Ship with slides was Jaxon's favorite place! :)
Just chillin' and eatin' lunch.
Looking forward to going again next year!

Fluffy
Fluffy turned 4 on Sunday. I can't believe it; Jaxon is only a few short weeks behind her.
My Dad nick-named Lexi, fluffy, because of her Fluffy hair, and now, she's added a nice touch to her hair by cutting her bangs! I told Brianne the day she did it, to just imagine bangs with a mullet! :)
No matter what, she's a keeper!
Mom has some candles from when we were kids, and she put four of the ballerinas on her cake, and when she saw it, she gasped. She's so sweet!
We will have a good time celebrating this weekend!
The Legit Homemade Scooter
Jason's Dad made this little scooter for Maggie.
It is so cute, and totally works great! I think he made it out of an old, spray jug, and it has a great steering radius!
He's also working on making the kids another jungle gym for our house.

Swim Lessons
Kylee is doing swim lessons. It's a love/hate relationship, and I can't figure this girl out.
Oh yes, I can. She is her Daddy's personality made over! :)

I Love America
I love America, therefore I love the 4th! We had a fantastic 4th of July. I really enjoy decking out from head-to-toe in the colors, spending time with family, everyone comes together to celebrate! Makes me smile. Makes me thankful for the founding fathers. Makes me thankful for freedom, and my grandfathers that fought their part to protect America and make it the greatest nation in the world.
We had a great time at the parade again this year. The older kids wanted to ride their bikes this year, so Brianne and I rode on the Ranger with the 3 younger kids.
Everyone with the decked out bikes!
After the parade, we headed to the annual BBQ with the large extended Holik family. It's always fun to catch up while the kids dig in the sand before the washer pitchin' tournament starts.
And to continue our traditions we went out to my Grandmother's lake house that afternoon. We swam twice, ate once, and of course stayed up real late to watch the firework show that the lake puts on! It was worth it!
Jason left early and played a softball game with the Holik's.

No More Cast
This boy amazed me during this whole cast process. This was the day we got the cast put on ABOVE the KNEE, and he manages to climb on top of his dresser!
I had lots of worries, that never came to pass. Which is usually how that works. I worried about him sleeping at night, about it itching to much, about it getting hot, how would he do in the shower with it, what if this doesn't make it better!!
He handled everything like a champ! None of my worries became reality. He NEVER complained about it! A few times at night he would say it itched, so we could put lotion on his feet, and I would scratch with my hand, but it was minimal.
Still so happy even with the cast above the knee!
He wore this one for a month! It was nasty, and smelled really bad!
Then, we went to one below the knee, that he could get wet and SWIM in!! It was awesome, and he was so happy. We had pretty much just not gone swimming at this point. He told me he was so happy!
BUT, the cast only last a week. It was supposed to last two weeks.... and we were going to go back tomorrow to hopefully be done.....
Totally demolished that thing!
So, we had to return sooner than expected, so they put a boot on him. Which, is really worse than the cast because we can't take it off (except at night to bathe), and he can't go swimming!! So sad!
It's still not slowing him down! We should have the boot for two weeks now!
