Trunk-or-Treat- 1

We stopped by real quick the Trunk-or-Treat in Wall, with Jason's mom.

No Hamm, the pig, came.

Jessie and Woody didn't know what to think about some people's costumes.

"Coolest Kid in School" Woody

Carnival re-Cap

We hosted our first ever Halloween Carnival. And I have to say we had a lot of fun!!

Cupcake Walk, Pick-a-Cup, Bean Bag Toss

Sucker Tree, Go Fish, Duck Pond, and Tattoos

And the parents got to play games too: Candy Corn Count, and Dice Game!!

The food was yummy.  Brianne insisted we do the Burger Bar again from Jaxon's 2nd Birthday, and the sweets were good too!!

All the parents just brought a bag of candy or toys for the kids to win!!

I think the Cupcake Walk was the favorite!!

So thankful for great friends and their parents!!

A Comic Strip for Mom's

Here's what it says:

Mom: "I have Zoe here for her Eye Exam."

Lady: "Umm..."

Mom: "I'm pretty sure her appointment is today, unless I got it mixed up with Hammie's Karate Class, or Wren's Play Date with Sophie, or ....."

Sigh! I have three kids. My life is a blur.

Lady: "And this is a nail salon."

My mother-in-law cut this out for me, and I feel like this a lot!! :)

Kylee and Her Baby

Kylee is at a great age. I am loving 4.  She is independent on most things, and we can nearly have real conversations.  She understands things, and REMEMBERS everything we say to her.  So fun!!

She has recently fallen in love with her babies.  She must always have a baby with her.  It's so cute. She correlates everything in her mind that I do with Maggie, with her own baby.

Uncle Josh got her this fancy baby stroller, a baby high chair, and a diaper bag for her birthday a few weeks ago.

She loves it.  She really wanted to take it to the mall with us one day and push it around. :) I told her no, but that she could bring her baby and diaper bag with us to town.

She loves pushing the stroller outside in the yard, and down the road, like we do with Maggie.

She enjoys bossing Jaxon around, and him being the "dad" or "husband". I'll see her with her hand on her hip pointing her finger at him.  Oh, lordy, I wonder where she got that from.

On that note, Jason and I were talking about her fascination with babies one night, and he was like "do you think we need to tell her there not real". Because she will carry a conversation on with her, and about her, to us.  If I wear a scarf, then she wants to wear a scarf, because that's what Mommy's do.  If I wear tights with my dress, she insists that she wears one of her dresses with tights, because "that's what Mommy's do"!!

I told Jason no, that is all 'play' for girls. I love it, and think it is so cute!!

Then, Jason followed up with, "well, you better be the best mom because she's watching you to see how a mom should be."

Talk about responsibility. I knew their was responsibility with parenting, but he drove it home.

Finished with, "your a great mom; just keep it up..."

Garage Sales

After seeing several very creative blogs about re-doing furniture, I've got the garage sale bug.  To possibly find a cheap piece of furniture to re-do.

I have no room in my house for more furniture, and I'm pretty sure I can't make my furniture look like their's, but I want to try!! :)

I'm in love with this girls site!! Especially her apple green desk!! She's awesome!!

Just Things.....

Been thinking about things, laughing about things, and doing some things lately.....

I decided to host a mini halloween carnival at our house this year.  I am thinking it could be an annual thing, but I'm sure once all our kids are in elementary, it would end.  So, not worrying about it too much, but I sure am enjoying making the games. My favorite thing so far, is I found these cat toys at the Dollar Store for the Go Fish Game!!

Kylee and Jaxon love to "pack" up and go on a trip. After they were packed, I heard her exclaim," We are a family, and we are going on a mission trip!!" Made me laugh!! Jason's sister is on a mission trip right now, and we have our friends card on our refrigerator, that she talks about. All she knows is, they are going far away from their family to tell people about Jesus.  Maybe one day our family can go on a mission trip. I would love that!!

We have a baby shower every weekend for 4 weeks straight. Kind of crazy!! 3 of them are additions to the Holik family!! Kylee loves going to showers; she likes the food, punch, and the girly aspect of them, I think.

Kylee is going to be in a Thanksgiving Program with our Preschool Group, and a homeschool group we know. The grandparents are even invited, so we are ALL getting excited.

Loving these Free Thanksgiving Printable from Shindig Parties. Might actually use it when I host BUNCO in November!!

Planning on taking the kids on a Nature Walk when it's not so windy.

Getting our family pictures taken this weekend; hopefully, Jason will be able to make it. :)

Jaxon didn't want me to look at him in the car (we are going through major whining issues with him) anyways, he yelled "Don't see me!!" meaning, don't look at me. Jason and I laughed so hard.

We've been working on Letter F this week. We nearly got in a fight while doing "school" the other day. :)  She loves doing it, but when I tell her to do something, she cries.

She's been taking showers outside lately.

And, we are looking forward to the AWANA Pumpkin Carving and Trunk-or-Treat at church, and some trick or treating around out here.

Jessie, and the Gang

This past Saturday, was the Wall Elem. School Carnival.  I have not been in years, like since I was in elementary school. I thought I would take Kylee and Jaxon since this might be there only real "carnival" experience this year.

We saw the rest of the Toy Story Gang right when we got there.

Buzz, Mrs. Potato Head, Woody, Barbie, and Jessie

(Minus Hamm, the pig, which is Maggie)

The costumes this year were fun to do.  A while back, Kylee said she wanted to be Jessie for Halloween, and she was sticking to her guns on it.  So, I thought we'll, Jaxon looks like a good Woody, and Maggie could make a cute pig, for her 1st Halloween.

So, we went with it.  Then, one night Jason was being mean to all the kids, and jokingly said "Addi should be Barbie."  Duane thought it was good too, and we thought it fit her perfectly with all her "girlishness"!!!

Karter got to be Buzz, and Lexi was either going to be Slinky Dog or Mrs. Potato Head.

They all looked so cute, and there was not another single, Toy Story character at the whole carnival!!! :)

Look at Woody's, match stick in his gun holster.  You know, Woody, never carries a gun. I had a lot of fun making the stuff for them, with the help of Mom, of course.

Karter, and his Buzz Wings, I made (with the last minute help of Duane), from this ladies tutorial.  Thought they turned out good!!

Most of the games are not good for my kiddos age, but we did Ring Toss, Cake Walk, and Plinko, Bean Bag Toss, Fishing Game, and the Book Walk a lot of times.

This little guy was so lucky at all the games; I just had to laugh.

Kylee got a rainbow painted on her face!! Perfect for any little Jessie girl!!

We jumped on the Bounce Houses a long time, and then went down this HUGE slide.  Jaxon was little scared the first time, but then he loved it!!

Halloween is Happening Here

We've been doing a lot of Halloween stuff around here.

Kylee painted two of the pumpkins we got from the Pumpkin Patch.

Her's had to be pink!!

We've also been busy drawing up and painting some Halloween costumes!!

Can you guess who we're going to be???

How to Eat a S'more According to....

Jaxon.

You start by trying to take the biggest bite possible, not caring what gets on you, but you then discover it is to big to fit in your mouth, so

you proceed to take it apart,

dig around in it with your finger,

and along the way, shove your finger into your mouth hoping there is lots of ooey-gooey marshmallow and chocolate on it.

Or According to Kylee.

You calmly take a bite, not wanting any chocolate to get on your face, or your clothes,

if some of the ooey-gooey goodness, gets on your hands, you do not wipe them down the sides of your clothes, but

you neatly try to lick it off, not wanting to waste any of the goodness,

and you finish with more in your belly than on your clothes, and table!!
