Getting Crafty

On Friday Night, I had the privilege of going to a Girl's Night Out at my friend Wendy's house, to make these really cute headbands. I was totally excited about going and packed my scrap fabric and a hot glue gun, and just had a great time. Jason thought it was so silly when I told him we were making headbands. :)

I made 2 of the pink ones for Kylee and Addisyn. Let's just say, Addisyn loves her's because she is into fashion. Maybe she is my daughter. And the blue and black one I made for me, and let's just say, I love it!!! I have only worn it out twice, but have really liked it both times, and the lady at Radio Shack said she liked it, so that always makes a pregnant girl feel good.

Here I am modeling it.... LOL..... I learned alot from making these, and can easily improve on the next ones I make. I am thinking of making a red and green for Christmas.

Can't get much cheesier than that!!!

And speaking of pregnant girls, Jason was kind of enough to take this picture of me at 24 weeks. I know, I can't believe it either, only 16 weeks to go!!! YIKES!!!

Holiday Happenings

We had a great Thanksgiving.

I love turkey and dressing, and my mom's sweet potatoes, and chocolate merginue pie, and homemade sweet tea, and a lot of other things. I just have food on my mind ALL the time these days. :)

On Wednesday, Mom had the grand idea of taking all 5 grandchildren to Sears to get a picture of them in their Christmas outfits. Nothing against Sears, and nothing against the people that work there, I just don't like it. I won't bore you with what all took place, but we did it, and by the time we left, the kids were nearly eating their arm off because they were all so hungry.

We ate Thanksgiving supper at mom and dad's that night.

Thanksgiving Day, we went to Jason's parents. We looked through all the ads and had a great lunch. Jasons' sister, Haley, brought her roommate home with her over the break, so they pretty much spoiled my kids the whole week they were here by taking them out to eat, letting Kylee play on there IPAD's, and giving lots of rides in the Gator, Golf Cart, and anything else that Kylee demanded. She would wake up a say, "I want to go play on the IPad." Crazy!!

Thanksgiving Night we went to my Grandmother's house, and had a great time visiting with cousins, and laughing so hard over the old photo albums somebody drug out. It was funny.

In meantime, mom and I made our BLACK FRIDAY plan, and decided we would just go around Midnight, and be late, but still go out, and try to get some things.

We'll at 9:30 she texted me, saying she couldn't sleep so we might as well go to Walmart, and check it out. So, we hop in the car, and head to Walmart.

We went to Walmart, split up and I stood in line at Best Buy, and mom stood in line at Target. Ended up getting the both big things we wanted from those stores. Hit up Whataburger at 2am, and then slept in the mall parking lot waiting for JC Penney to open at 4. Stayed at the mall until about 7, and then came home and crawled in bed. :)

We stayed up all night; how dumb is that!! Anyways, it was fun, and I'll probably be ready to go again next year.

Mom's family came in from Sweetwater, and we celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday.

Everything was fun, but always goes way to fast.

Pics to come.

I come before You today

And there's just one thing that I want to say

We are so blessed, and want to give the ultimate thanks to Jesus Christ. It is Him who has made our lives Great.

I am so thankful for the USA, for there is no country greater than us.

I am thankful for our home, for there is no place of greater comfort and security.

I am thankful for JJ Holik's Farm, for there was no other choice. :)

I am thankful for the abundance of friends we have, for they meet our needs in good times and bad.

I am so thankful for our healthy children, for their smiles bring the greatest joy.

I am thankful for Jason, for God set us apart for each other.

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, for He has given me hope of a future in heaven with Him.

Turning 30.....

NO, I am NOT 30!! I am not nearly that old..... :)

But, my sister, did turn 30 this year. So, being the party girl that I am, and I love parties. What better time to throw her a 30th party!! Mom and Duane were in on it. So we started planning some.

My first idea was to do a "NERD" party, and play on the accounting theme, and everyone dress up as nerds, and have books, glasses, and pencils as decorations.

BUT, my dad stepped in and said "She would be SO offended." LOL!!!

So, I decided against that, and starting trying to do something with BLUE because that is her favorite color. BLUE became the theme, and we went from there.

Do you know how hard it is to find blue invitations? Or maybe I am just picky.... :)

The invitation said:

Brianne is so blue,

She doesn't know what to do,

She's turning the BIG 3-0,

And she's feeling kind of so-so.

And everyone was supposed to wear blue. And everyone actually wore blue. Even my stubborn husband.

The party was last Saturday, and NO she wasn't suprised. She's to dang smart. She said she knew something was up. :(

The funniest thing was the pictures of her on all the tables and hanging. They made the party. It was fun.

Recognize this girl???

I love her commercials.

But, even more I love the Black Friday shopping. I have been losing sleep over thinking about all the great deals to be had.

Even if I do go to get the $4.99 slap watch I want for Kylee.

I love going early I guess because I love shopping.

But nearly, NEVER, is anyone there for what I am there for.

I'm trying to talk my sister into going with us this year, but we joke about how she would probably just be asleep in the back of the car!!!

It's fun, although, last year, I did get injured. Nothing to serious.

Tidbits of Useless Information

I changed wallets over a week ago, and just discovered yesterday that I have been driving around without my drivers license.

Jaxon and Lexi are gaining their personality, and they are so cute and so DIFFERENT. They really don't play well together, which I have a feeling they won't until maybe they are in college. They just scream at each other; it's kind of funny unless you are there while they are screaming at each other. But Jaxon is so stubborn, and Lexi is more sensitive and gets her feelings hurt.

In fact, Jaxon is so stubborn that he screamed the whole way to town the other day because he saw me put his bottle in his bag, and he wanted it. But, I didn't want to give it to him because he was going to need at the Bible Study class, so I refused, and he screamed. Finally, I turned around and swatted his leg, and he stopped. Amazing.

I love turkey. I've been dreaming about turkey lately. You know I'm pregnant, which makes me weird.

Jason and I have been playing the 20 questions game at night before we go to bed. Usually, I think of something, and he tries to guess it. But somehow, every time he says I didn't answer something truthfully, and therefore he wins by default. I don't think so!

I'm expecting a package today, and tomorrow.

I think we have a name for our new baby girl. It's just the spelling that is a booger. Did you know that "Conviction is a booger." We talk alot about that in Sunday School. Cracks me up.

Jaxon has learned to shake his head no. Jason got it on video because him and Kylee started asking him one night, "Jaxon, do you want to go to bed?" And he shakes his head no violently. It is so funny. Now, Kylee asks him all day long, like while they are in the grocery cart at Target, "Jaxon, do you want to go to bed?" And he always delievers with a big, strong headshake, NO!!!

Kylee can do the buckles on her carseat all by herself. Maybe she decided to get with it because we told her when the new baby comes, she is going all the way to the back. And now of course this week, she has decided she just doesn't want to buckle them even though she can. Lovely.

Jaxon is getting his 3rd haircut today. This passes how many Kylee has had, and Lexi hasn't had one yet. But what's a guy to do when you've got great hair. :)

I've been enjoying a mixed drink lately; it is half cran-apple juice and half ginger ale. It is great; you should try it.

Thanks for listening; I mean reading.

Christmas Question

Has anyone ever ordered a gymnastic mat/incline for their child?

I was looking for something like this. I really wanted the wedge not the mat. Do toy stores carry these things?

Hangin' Out

We've just been hanging out at home, and making messes......

This is where Jaxon likes to hang out.

But, eventually he cries, and either Kylee nearly pulls his head off trying to get him out, or I let him out.

He looks very sweet and innocent here.

And then I wonder, how can little people make such BIG messes?????

Seriously. This is nasty.

Here's what happens.

At 37 1/2 months, Kylee likes to tear paper up into tiny pieces and make everyone in the house, and other people that aren't even here, ice cream cones.

And Jaxon likes to dump all the toys out, and then secretly get the liquid dish soap and squirt it all over the floor. I still can't find the lid. Anybody have a clue?

But, me, I am trying to get scrapbooks finished, and in my case, you sometimes have to make a mess and then work towards your goal.

So, I laid at all the scrapbooks, and organized all my pictures since Jaxon was born 15 months ago.

Then I started filling in pictures into the scrapbook pages I made 2 years ago. You should really stay on top of these things. I wouldn't know or anything.

We're just hanging out, and making messes.

What a Wonderful Weekend

Our weekend was just, wonderful.

Jason's first cousin got married this weekend in Wall, and he was a groomsman, along with 5 other Holik guys. And then half of the ushers were Holik guys too.

Something you should know about Holik guys:

they are all the same, and there are alot of them!!

On Friday night, we left the kids with my parents, and went to the rehearsal dinner. It was great; I ate a BIG bowl of hot sauce all by myself, and Jason and the other guys were entertained by talking with the ringbearer. Jason loves hitting it up and talking with the kids anywhere we go, and by the end of the night, the ringbearer was basically sitting in his lap. :)

After that, Jason went with the guys to hang out at the restaurant in Wall.

Since Jason was in the wedding, I told him don't expect to see me at the ceremony since I would have both kids, and one of them is Jaxon, so I would either be at the back or in the nursery. We did both, but it didn't last to long, so we were soon on to the party and dancing, as Kylee kept calling it.

Poor Jaxon wanted to get down and run around the whole time, and there were too many tables set-up and breakable things in the way, so we had to restrain them and entertain them with things like food.

And praise God for both grandads for taking him and walking around with him and playing with him outside. It is great.

How could you go wrong with quoting Napoleon Dynamite in your toast? You can't.

The best thing: the photobooth. Kylee and her Holik cousin, Tyson, we don't see alot. But let me tell you, he doesn't look like a Holik. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Stark difference from my brownies running around!! :)

He's our little stinker with a mullet.

And we even stayed and danced the night away, until 9:45.

Kylee danced some, but she really shines at the Chicken Dance, and they never played it.

On Sunday, we went to church, ate a great lunch, watched the Cowboys win actually, played outside, ate at Pizza Hut, and had an encouraging conversation with Jason.

He is wonderful.

Our weekend was wonderful.

Weekend Fun, so far

Jason's cousin, Erik, got married on Saturday (more pictures to come), but they had a photobooth set-up.

It was seriously the coolest thing e.v.e.r.!!!

I think by the 4th one, we were starting to get the hang of it!!! :)

Desperate

I am desperate.

Not for the typical thing, though.

I need cute maternity clothes.

I shopped, and shopped our little stores in town, and they don't have dresses for the holidays, or cute winter clothes out yet.

I am really wanting something for Christmas.

Let me know of any websites that you have ordered off of.

Please help.

Because.

I am desperate.
