If I die......

Jason's knee surgery went super fast and the best it possibly could.

Praise the Lord!!

We got there, and back in a room!! And then from there we had to wait about two hours, but it wasn't too bad because they were checking us in, and that took a little while, and then as it got closer they came back in to do more paperwork. After I went to the bathroom once, and Jason went twice, he was ready to go back!! :)

He had the surgery on his left knee. And they put this stocking thing on the opposite leg; he thought that was cool. And then they shaved his knee before the surgery, and he thought that was cool too.

The actual surgery only took 30 minutes.

The dr. came out while I was nursing Jaxon in the waiting room (lovely) :), and he said that it went great, and definetely was a meniscus tear, but all the cartlidge and everything else looked great. Yeah!!

This is what we did to pass the time. I took pictures of myself!! You know, because, I got braces on the bottom. I've had them once; didn't wear my retainer in college, they went crooked; it never really bothered me, but mom and jason kept saying stuff about it. So here I am again.

How do I feel about it now??

I HATE THEM!!

In fact, I asked Jason if I could just go back over there and immediately take them off!! :)

Anyways, they say only six months to a year.

But taking pictures only passed about 5 minutes of our time, so we sat around and chatted. We talked about high school sport days, "Who was better?", compared childbirth to his knee surgery, talked about being hungry, how much we loved each other, and if he should buzz his hair really short. Then, he always does this to me.

"Shyanne, I may die."

"Yes, I know Jason, you are going to die. I just hope not today. "

"What are you going to do if I die?"

Then he proceeds to tell me what to do, if he dies. I mean seriously anytime we have any major thing or go on an out-of-town trip, he brings this up. I guess it's not a bad thing because it really makes you think.

I told him yesterday, he better make sure he is saved. :)

I know; we are dorkos!!

But, he made it out fine, we are home, and he doesn't feel great because of the anthestia, but hopefully that will wear off soon.

When we got home, he had a nice delievery from my cousins, and aunt and uncle!! Thank you so much for the fun candy/cookie bouquet!! Kylee and I are dying to get inside of it!! :) Love y'all!!

Thanks for the prayers!!

Tomorrow

Kylee is so funny these days, and is so fun to be around. Her little personality is just changing and developing so fast. About 2 weeks ago she had a relapse in her potty training, where she just peed in her pants for about 4 days straight. We disciplined her, and she kept saying, "I wwooonnn'ttt tomorrow."

We have no clue what it means, but we really think she means "She won't tomorrow." Whatever that means. Because she kept peeing in her pants. But that was few weeks ago, and she is better now. But she is still saying her famous saying all the time!! I think we laughed at her, and now she thinks it is funny to say.

a n y w a y s

Tomorrow is a BIG day in our little house.

Jason is having knee surgery tomorrow to fix a torn meniscus.

I am getting braces on tomorrow.

Don't worry just on my bottom teeth, tomorrow though.

But before tomorrow, we have been having fun today, and this week.

We flew kites at mom and dad's.

And Jaxon played in the gravels with the front-end-loader. He loved it.

And other BIG news in Jaxon's world.......he is taking like 6 or 7 steps at a time, like all day long. So, I guess he is walking; sort of, kind of. Maybe he'll get better at it tomorrow.

Say a prayer for us, tomorrow.

We've been Interviewed

About a month ago a young girl from Landscapes Magazine called and wanted to come out and interview Jason, his brother, and his dad about their farming production.

Which they all 3 immediately replied, they must be desperate if they want to interview us!!! :)

Anyways, she came out and we all dressed up because she was going to take some pictures of the whole family to put in with the article.

We all dressed up is a huge exaggeration. We put on blue jeans, instead of work out shorts, and clean t-shirts instead of wholly t-shirts. :)

It was a great day getting to listen to Jason's dad tell how he started farming, and then Josh mostly answered all the questions when it came to him and Jason's part. Jason is the quiet one, the thinker, the worryer. Josh is the loud, say what you want, crazy guy. They make a good farming team though.

It made me proud to sit there; they asked what each generation has passed down and what we want to pass down. I listened as Jason's dad answered and said, something I already knew because I see it everyday, hard work, honesty, and the importance of being a christian.

Believe it or not, there are alot of ways farmers out here can be dishonest with their crops and working with other farmers. I am so proud to be married to a man of integrity.

Anyways, my point is, the pictures the lady took that day didn't turn out. So they hired Jim Bean to come out and re-take our pictures. Let me tell you, that made everyone, NOT so thrilled. But, we all got dressed up again, and this time Jason's sister is home, so she got to be in the picture too.

Last night, Jim Bean came out and we all took pictures by the tractors, and the Bedder Bar that the three guys built. Here is a picture of it, when it was brand new about 2 years ago.

They built that whole plow thing behind the tractor.

Anyways, maybe in June or July we'll be famous in some magazine that only goes to farmers, that none of them really read anyways.

Praise be to God

I made a comment to myself after getting in the car at Jaxon's 6 Month well check-up. I said "It will be a God thing if we are not back here before our 9 month appointment." You know, with getting sick and all.

Well, here we are.

Off to our 9 Month appointment. Haven't been there for 3 Months!!!

We've used alot of this, but

Praise be to God!!!

How are you saving the family money?

This was the topic of our conversation the other night around the dinner table. Except we weren't eating dinner, we were eating hot, fresh, banana bread, even Jaxon got some too.

Anyways, it ended up being quite funny.

Jason made a comment about how he was saving the family money by not having to buy his monthly Nasonex anymore.

That sparked him to continue to Kylee, and say "How are you saving the family money?" She was picking at her banana bread, and didn't really know how to answer, so Jason quickly said "Your wearing panties instead of diapers!!"

Good. Good.

He then turned to Jaxon and asked him the same question; Jason answered "your breastfeeding."

Good. Good.

He then turned to me, and again asked the same question. I had a mouth full of banana bread and mummbled "I don't know." He replied "You're couponing. "

Good. Good.

He started over by saying "I won't drive to town as much."

Kylee's second reply was "Quarters." Jason said "you're not going to give as many quarters."

Good. Good.

Jaxon's second reply was "I'm going to quit growing, so we don't have to buy more clothes."

Good. Good.

I shouted "I'll cut back on the number of baths I take, to save the family money!!!"

My Little Red Wagon Buddy

Who could it be??

None other than our little Jax Man, Buddy Boy, or Boogie Woogie Bear, as I call him. :)

I promise I won't call him that after he turns a year. He's just my baby boy, though!!

He turned 9 MONTHS old on Saturday!! We are so happy to have him around and have been blessed so much by him being here.

What sums him up right now??

Walking and Talking......

Yep, he took 3 steps the other day. He is letting go and standing for several seconds at a time, and then a few times has taken some steps. The most being 3. YEAH!!

He also is talking more, or maybe he just making more noises. He says mama, but also is more vocal especially during eating times. He wants what we have!!

He still is nursing 5 times a day. He still wakes up once a night and eats, and we are still feeding him baby food, but he is getting more of our table food now. Which is kind of nice. He still not thrilled about vegetables, but hey, who really gets that thrilled about eating vegetables!! :)

He has alot of hair still. I do think alot of it is still baby hair, because he has new hair coming in underneath. Whatever it is, it makes for a good conversation piece. And it is starting to lay down better.

He still takes a shorter morning nap, and then an afternoon nap, and is fussy in the evenings because he is sleepy, I think. He loves being outside, and thankfully for the weather, that is what we have been doing.

Here he is so happy...

And right after we snapped this picture,

head first on the sidewalk, and now he has a knot on his head, and a scrapped nose!!

He's all boy!!!

It's all in how you look at it....

We had a good weekend. And I enjoyed my Mother's Day with my kiddos and my mama!!

The day started off with us getting ready for church, and no one acknowledging that it is Mothers day. Which 2 out of the 3 don't have a clue, but still, you would have thought!! :)

Finally, I ask Jason to take my picture with the kids, since it was Mothers Day. Still got nothing in return. :)

On the way to church, Jason made Kylee tell me Happy Mothers Day!!

We had a great time at church, and then we got in the car to leave, and Jason is driving and, we have a blow out on the side of the road headed to my parents house. We weren't very far from church, so 3 different church friends stopped to help. After about 30 minutes we were back on the road, literally. So glad to have all the help!!

Rushed to my parents, chowed down a fantastic lunch that consisted of ribs, grilled salmon, salad, new potatoes, corn, rolls, PW Carrot Cake, and PW Knock you Naked Brownies.

We visited with Jason's parents some. And then Jason, Kylee, and Jaxon gave me my Mother's Day present, which was this book, and a rock, that says "Live Simply".

If you remember her, she was on "The Biggest Loser", and she is my mom's first cousins' daughter. Confusing??? Anyways, I have already started the book, and I am loving it. Even though her story is so sad I am already trying do some new things for my kids.

All in all, even though you wouldn't call my Mother's Day perfect. Who cares in reality about all the small stuff, I have my husband and children. Thank you Jesus.

More posts coming soon!!

Summer's a Comin'

Summer's a comin'......

And wedgie's won't slow us down.

We have gone "swimming" TWICE already!!

Excitement is an understatement here.

Jason filled a 5 gallon bucket of hot water from the bath tub and mixed it with the cold water hose, to make it just......perfect!!

This was Jaxon's first swim!!! He didn't know what to think about it for about.....5 seconds, and then he was completely happy the whole time!! I think he's going to enjoy the hot weather as much as sister.

Isn't my baby boy handsome? Okay, sorry, I just had to. I mean, we think he is. :)

He even got to go, naked.

Come on Summer; we are soooooo ready!!!
