I wear my SUNGLASSES at night......

Ahhhhh....this little girl keeps me laughing all the day through!!!
We had our 9 Month Well-Baby Checkup today. Everything was great!!
W - 15 lbs. 8 oz. (50% percentile)
H - 26in (5 % percentile)
So as you can tell we are a shorty!! But that is genetics for ya!!
I asked Dr. Patyrak about her still waking up to eat once a night, and he said that it is no longer that she "needs" to eat, but a habit, so we can start cutting that out. It doesn't seem that she is going to stop waking up on her own, so we are going to have to make her stop.....how do we do that?.........lots of crying!!! :) Dr. Patyrak said, "Yes, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, like in the Bible." Which is probably true, because we are breaking a habit that she has done for 9 months.
So wish us luck, say a little prayer for us when you go to bed tonight :), and we will see how many nights this takes us!!
OH!! And one more IMPORTANT thing!!! I nearly forgot!!
Kylee went under the water at swimming tonight!! This is a BIG thing!! Yeah!!

Trip to Dallas and Wedding Details!!

We headed out Saturday morning at about 9:30!!

We made it all the way to Ranger; stopped and ate lunch at Subway. Then went on to Weatherford because I wanted to stop at the Kohl's there. Jason had to sit in the back with Kylee to keep her happy. Made it to Weatherford by 1:15. Shopped at Kohl's for about an hour. Kylee crawled around on the floor and Jason sat in a lawn chair. Left and went the rest of the way into our hotel, and got there about 3:15. Well, I had wanted to go to Sam Moon really bad, and it said it was only 4 minutes from our hotel, and they are closed on Sundays. So as soon as we got checked and laid around for just a minute we headed to Sam Moon.

Kylee found the air conditioner!!

She also loved the luggage cart!! Which she fell off of!!

It actually took about 15 minutes to get there, so I basically had to run in and run out, but nonetheless I got a couple of bags, and hair bows for Kylee.

We went back to the hotel, got dressed for the wedding. They got married at First Baptist Church, Dallas, the Chapel Room. It was gorgeous. We were right in the middle of all the skyscrapers!! Very pretty view!!

In the elevator!! Look at there picture in the mirror!! Ah!!

Kylee and I outside at the front of the hotel with sun in our eyes!!

We found the church really easy, but Kylee did not last very long in there, so Jason and her had to go out and sit in the lobby during the ceremony. Little Stinker.

On to wedding details. The front of the church had these iron candle stands. And beautiful stain glass everywhere.

Here is Bryan waiting for Chelsey. There were 7 attendants. The bridesmaids wore black strapless floor length dresses with a pink sash, and the groomsmen were pink ties, with pink vests. All the flowers were bright pink, and light pink roses. Gorgeous!!

Here they are doing the vows.

The reception was at Edison's, catered by Eddie Deen, who has catered for George W. Bush before. It was good!!

Here are the cakes!!

Here is the married couple!! YEAH!!

We ate on real glass plates!!

Kylee was so sleepy at the reception, and there was really a place she could go run around in. So we had to let her down, and then go pick her up, and bring her back to our table, and we did that all night. :) Here she is in her sleepy state for a short bit at the reception.

We headed back to our hotel at about 10. When we got back Kylee must have gotten a second wind, because she was hyper!! With that saying, she did NOT sleep good at all. Was up every hour and a half!!

So we were a tired group on Sunday morning. We had breakfast with Jacque and Jason, and then headed home about 10:45. Stopped in Coleman for lunch at the Sonic.

That's about it!! The wedding was gorgeous!! Chelsey looked amazing. And maybe she can give you a better run down when they get back from the Honeymoon!! Enjoy!!

9 Months!!

Kylee is 9 Months old today!! Here is what she is up too!!

-Eating table food and baby food; hasn't spit anything out

-Still NO Teeth

-Nurses 5 times a day

-Starting to actually look at her toys and notice little specifics about them, instead of just chewing on them

-Walking pretty much..... she lets go all the time now, and will walk 4-5 steps everytime she lets go. Took about 7 steps one night last week all on her own.

-wakes up once a night to eat

-Takes a short morning nap, and a longer afternoon nap

-loves Addi and Karter

-talks and jabbers likes she wants to say words instead of just noises

-whines (how do they know how to do that without ever teaching them)

-can pout when we say no or spank her hand

-put herself to sleep yesterday for her nap for the 1st time ever (BIG accomplishment for us)

-loves swim lessons; actually moves her legs in the kicking motion a little

-went on first over night trip to Austin

-raises her arm at things when she is talking

That's about it for now!! We go to Dr next week for 9 month check-up will give the specs then!! And what would be a post about Kylee without pictures!!

When she walks around things she crosses her legs, like she is doing the karoake or something. Does anyone else remember doing the karoake in track warmup??

Look at that Farmer's TAN!!

Childhood Memory

Today, I bought a piece of my childhood.

Growing up, I would wear around this cheerleading skirt everyday of the week. We have pictures of me chopping cotton in my RED cheerleading skirt. Literally I wore it everyday!! And, I am on film cheering for my cousins while they are playing football; I am yelling "GO wallhawks"(all one word)!!

Today, I got to buy Kylee a WallHawk Cheerleading outfit. A lady in Wall was having a huge sell on little girls clothes. I noticed she had a 2T Cheerleading outfit. Mom and I went back this morning, and I bought it for 1/2 the price it sells when you order it!! It came with bloomers and a bow!! Extra Bonus!! Yeah!!

Oh, the special memories I have growing up with a cheerleading skirt; such a small thing with BIG memories!! Maybe Kylee can enjoy the same!!
Enjoy your Rainy weekend as will we!!

Life is BUSY, but oh SO good!!

We are busy around here, but life is good!!

Sunday --> We went to a family reunion in Anson. Mainly a bunch of old people but got to hang out with my cousins, and they are totally awesome (Chelsea if you are reading this I'm talking about you :). No pictures from that day.

Monday --> Not a lot, worked on Karter's quilt and Mom's curtains some more.
Tuesday --> Went to town for swimming lessons, but they got cancelled again, so we brought pizza home, and Brianne and the kids came over for pizza and ice cream. While I was waiting for the pizza in town, I stopped by IGA downtown, and they had these really cute metal tubs for parties and stuff. They were only $7.99, and I have been watching them at Target and they are $14.99. So good deal!!

And Today --> Went to town by myself, always get alot more done in a shorter amount of time, THANKS JASON!! And it is alot easier to get a pedicure than to have a climbling baby all over you.

We have a busy weekend coming up with Father's Day, and Jasons' cousin is getting married, and Jason is a groomsmen. I am so excited because I get to see him in a tux!! Yeah!! We have the rehearsal Friday night, and the wedding Saturday. And Thursday night we are going out to eat for Jason's dad's birthday, and for Father's Day. So we are busy for a good while. I guess that is what the summer is all about!!

I have been busy wrapping up Father's Day gifts for the dad's and Jason. I am making him something sweet with the dancing picture (post pictures later). And next week is our anniversary so I have ordered things for him, and they are coming in the mail, so I have been busy trying to keep them away from him, and wrapping those things. And Brianne and I are working on her bathroom, and we are working on some things to go in the kids bathroom. We did get it painted last Saturday, just have to touch up a few places. That's all for now.

Chick-Fil-A Cures Everything.....

Even the Stomach BUG!!
This morning I was in Hobby Lobby near the Scrapbook paper, and I all of a sudden felt like I was going to throw up. So I continue looking and then I feel it again. And I am thinking I have got to get to the bathroom now. So I make my decisions rather quickly and walk as fast as I could, but not to fast because it made me feel worse, to the restrooms. I get in there, and I'm like well I don't WANT to throw up so I'm not going to assume the position you know everyone does in front of the toliet. Rather I just sit there and collect myself, and after a few minutes I felt better. Finished up everything at Hobby Lobby, no throw up or anything.
Then we went to the mall; would feel the same feeling every now and then. Decided I would eat Chick-Fil-A. GOOD IDEA!! Because Chick-Fil-A is Delicious, and you know it "CURES everything!"
Even the Stomach Bug!!
It couldn't have been that I didn't eat anything all morning, and then went to Body Pump, then felt rather weak, and deciced I should scarf down a burrito!! No, it couldn't have been.

Funny Story

At my mom's house, the kids carry around this old computer mouse and use it as their IPOD, and Addi will come around with the mouse pressed up to one ear, like a headphone, and the other end of the cord in the other ear. And she will just sing as loud as she can. Today she was singing "Word of God, in my Heart!!"

Here is our conversation:

Me: "Addi, are you listening to your IPOD?"

Addi: "NO, Shy Shy, it is my earPOD!!"

Me: "Oh!!" (Insert Laughter)

She really thought we were saying EYEPOD. And I guess why wouldn't she think we were talking about that. SILLY GIRL!!

Pictures of Projects

Here are some really rough pictures of the projects we are working on. Nothing is finished yet.

Karter's Quilt for his room, which is not quilted yet!! We made 2 shams and the quilt top; need one more pillow and everything to be quilted.

Pillow cases for the $1.99 pillows from IKEA. Both still need a pink ruffle on the end.

Get OFF the Road....

UNDERAGE DRIVER!!

Summer Time=Lack of Blogging

Sorry for the lack of blogging; summer keeps us plenty busy, and we are GLAD!! Here's what's been going on. (Also, Brianne informed me that everyone was for sure getting tired of the "First Dance.")

-Mom, Brianne, Addi, Kylee, and I trekked all the way to Austin/Round Rock last weekend. And had a great time. Friday we got to Round Rock, ate at Macroni Grill, went to Kohl's and IKEA. We had never been to IKEA before; it is HUGE (That is an understatement). Funny story, we were walking through one of the many rooms of the store, and mom is like I have to go to the bathroom, but she insisted that we stay right in the same place, because she was scared she would get lost in the store. :) We managed to get out of there alive with some cool stuff.

Went to the track meet Friday night; got to bed about 11:30. Was awake by 8. Headed to the outlet malls, which are great there. Got some more great buys. Got home about 8:30 Saturday night.

-Since summer is here, mom and I usually get some project going. We are working on sewing Karter a quilt for his bed; we actually finished with the top today. I will take pictures when it is completly done. We are now going to work on a few pillow shams for him, and then also making 2 girly pillow cases for these pillows we got from IKEA for $1.99. :) After that, making curtains for mom's kitchen. I love projects with MOM; Brianne not so much.

-I am going to try and help Brianne redo the kids bathroom this weekend. Or get started at least. She is going to do Underwater SeaLife. If you have any cute decorating ideas, let me know.

-And, I probably need to get off the computer since I haven't seen my husband since Sunday. Well, not really, but he has been on the tractor from 6:30am-9pm. Hard workin' Man!!

New Fun Things

Kylee turning 8 months has led to some new fun things.
Swim Lessons went really well even though I didn't get any pictures. Maybe Thursday. The class was so fun because we knew everyone one in it from church, except for one little girl. Kylee just smiled and splashed really big at the beginning. And then we threw a ball, and she would lunge forward and want to go get it, and then she grabbed it up. I think she might have been getting tired towards the end, so that is good, it is only 30 minutes.
She is holding her arm out straight and motioning her hand like saying bye-bye, but she does it when she sees something she likes.
Also, its not really a knew thing, but it seems to be a little worse. When I leave the room, she cries and follows me around. She likes to play, but wants me to sit with her ALL day. :)
She has taken a few "Falling" steps. You know the ones that I don't count as really walking or taking steps, but when she is trying to come to you, she will step out, but really looks more like falling. Getting closer!!
She likes sitting at the back door, and watch the cat walk around outside. She would really like to be outside petting (grabbing) the cat, but this is the 2nd best.

Little Swimmers

Kylee's FIRST Swimming Experience......With the Cousins. She didn't like it much. But since then she has gone swimming by herself several times and loves it. I think she will get used to the cousins; she just didn't like Karter splashing. :)
Speaking of Swimming we are going to swim Lessons tomorrow. Should be fun!!
