26, 20, and 2

Jason turned 26 yesterday, as well as Susan (they have the exact same birthday), and Kylee turned 20 months old yesterday!! Happy Birthday!!

We didn't do anything exciting yet for his birthday because he was plowing all day yesterday. Kylee and I took him some water and Skittles in the field. And I made him an apple pie on Monday night, so he has been enjoying that as well!!

I have been working on 2 binders lately.

Binder 1: My Coupon Binder

I ran into my friend Jaymie, at Target, and I had my binder with me. What a dork!!!! I am likely this couponing stuff, but I am far from good at it!! If you want to check out my friend from MOPS who is awesome at couponing, go here. She is amazing, and I am learning that

couponing is kind of addicting.

I am just getting started. Here is what I have accomplished, I think. I don't even know if these are considered accomplishments: LOL!!

- signed up with CVS Extra Care Bucks
- organized my binder into 5 categories, some people have over 20. I am starting small, and Brianne is starting even smaller with just an envelope.

1. Baby Products
2. Snack Foods
3. Cold Foods
4. Beverages
5. Other/Store Coupons

- printed coupons on items I think I will need in the near future (I don't know much, but I think this is good.)
- became a member of Kelloggs.com, Blue Bell.com, Pampers.com, coupons.com
-went to Target and saved $4.50 on one package of diapers and got $30 of coupons in the package
- tomorrow I hope to go to Walgreens and get the monthly coupon book and go to Walmart and get the "All You" Magazine with $100 of coupons in it.

All in all, the most important thing I have learned so far is your goal is to "combine a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon" on every item you buy! At the same time, price matching from store to store!!

Binder 2: School Binder

For who you ask? Well, I think for Kylee.

I remember last Fall, I wanted to teach Kylee all these cool things about numbers, letters, shapes, counting, colors, animals, body parts, etc...... but found she was to young and far to uninterested. She just wanted to play.

This Fall she will be 2, so I hoping to start some things with her. I need to get online or any of you with elementary education degrees help me out on what to teach first.

I was thinking for each week:
new color (11 colors)
Bible lesson - Genesis, Noah's Ark, Birth of Jesus
new number (10 numbers)
craft
That is about 11 weeks, which will be from October - December.

January - March, for each week:
letter K (spell her name, 10 weeks)
Bible lesson
shapes
craft

I have printed and printed and printed material today; but now I am thinking it is just going to be trial and error to start with to see how much she can learn. I don't have a clue how fast we will be able to go, and we likely may have to slow down.

All in all, life is good!!

Weekend in Review

We had an enjoyable weekend. I am just loving this time of year for several reasons;
this is what we did this weekend:

sitting around outside talking with friends
swimming
playing croquet
driving around with no shoes on
eating pie
garage sales
enjoying family time, everyday of the week
walking outside
going to church
playing in the sand
drinking Dr. Peppers
napping
neglecting indoor chores to do things outside
We are so glad the summer time is HERE!!
These were taken about a week ago. Jason made milkshakes for all of us.
Oh yeah, and Kylee got some rain boots, and she loves to wear them around the house!!

We have a fun week ahead of us!!
Jasons' birthday is Tuesday. He will be 26; I think what he really wants for his birthday is RAIN..... it rained the day he was born. :) I guess that is the farmer in him. Kylee and I went shopping last week, and got him something. I plan on making a blackberry pie and an apple pie as well!! He loves pie!!
Hopefully, I will get some stuff done as well:
finish scrapbook
paint and put together a chalkboard/magnetic board
hang curtains in the playroom
hang Vinyl saying in playroom
With Jason's birthday this week, we should have more pictures to come!!
Oh, and I hope you don't mind the background change to red, white, and blue. I saw it on that ladies site, and I just love the 4th of July, but I reasoned with myself and said I could put it up already because of Memorial Day. So there you have it!!

Apparently....

if you didn't know, Kylee LOVES putting on "lipstick"!!!

But, not just on her lips......

And, she likes to put it on really, really thick....

See, mama!!

God takes care of Dumb People!!

I know first hand that God looks out for the "not-so-bright"!! Thank Goodness!!
Yesterday, I went to my Dr. Appointment, and we did the glucose testing for gestational diabetes and then we had the 3D Sonogram.
First, I went down to drink the nasty drink, and the little guy handed it to me, I drank it fast, no problem. He didn't say anything to me the whole time except come back in an hour for blood work.
Then, we go and sit and wait to go into the Sonogram, and Kylee was kind of getting restless (which is a huge understatement), so I opened a bag of fruit snacks for her, and without even thinking I ate one. And I was fixing to eat another one, and Jason is like, "are you supposed to be eating those since you just drank that stuff?" At first, I was like, "I don't think it matters, but the longer I thought about it, and during the sonogram, I was so worried about it. "

We go in to the see the dr. and I tell the nurse I ate a fruit snacks. I'm sure she is thinking this girl is dumb, which I guess no one is going to argue. :) Then Dr. came in, and was laughing. He said no one has ever done that before. I'm like yeah, pretty sure not!! :) So, he wasn't going to even do the test because he thought I ate the "Whole Bag" of fruit snacks. I told him no, I just ate ONE. So, we went ahead a tested, and all last night, I was so worried, it was going to come back high, and then you have to go through the 3 hours of fasting (which I obviously have a problem doing), and testing.

But, God takes care of Dumb People, I called first thing this morning, and all was normal!!

Nonetheless, everything looked great on the sonogram, and yes, we checked, and he is still a BOY!!! I can't believe that I am already in my 3rd trimester!! Yeah!! I am kind of getting nervous all over again though!!
Here he is in all his glory!!! We compared his to Kylee's 3D last night, but her pictures were of the profile, and his were all head on. So, it was hard to compare.
Jasons' Dad thinks he looks just like Jason!! Which I obviously think is a good thing!! :)
And yes, still no name, for this boy!! But hopefully getting closer!! Because I am ready to monogram stuff, and make burp rags!! :)
Before we all know it, we will have our baby boy in our arms!!
And, I have another "Blonde" Moment that happened last week with Kylee; it's far to long for the blog; maybe next time I see you I will tell you!!
Praise the Lord, He takes care of Dumb People!!

Weekend Plans

This weekend the girls are planning to go to the State Track Meet in Austin. And we are going a day early and spending the night, to get in more shopping!! :)

Don't know if any of the kids are going. The only one that might go with us is Kylee.

Last year, her and Addi both came. Here are a few pics from this time last year:
Hot and sweaty at the track meet!!

We plan on hitting up

Outlet Mall in Round Rock

Mall in Austin

IKEA

Kohl's

Fabric Store

And anything else we see!! Wish us luck!! Oh yeah, and the Wall Hawks competing at state as well!!

Go Hawks!!

Playroom Update

I just realized after a few months of being done with the playroom, I haven't posted any pictures. Maybe its because we haven't made a lot of "decorating" progress. :)
My idea was I wanted to decorate it Dr. Seuss, since that was gender neutral and while they are still young, just go with the juvenille theme!!
I have a few things going that are Dr. Seuss. Like this bag that I had bought at Target for a $1. Sure wish they would run Dr. Seuss stuff again sometime in the Dollar Section.

Then, I ordered this print. And I really am liking it between the tall bookcases. Jason's mom about a year ago, at Kohl's, they had the Kohl's Cares for Kids books at the front, so she bought Kylee every Dr. Seuss book they had there. And a few stuffed animals to go with it.

Also, I took this of Kylee when she was 6 Months Old, and I thought about framing it and hanging it somewhere.

But, then the boy would need his picture framed right. I found this on sale at Dillards. I don't know about this idea though because Kylee was so small in her picture and she is bigger now, so it might not make since to frame it now. I don't know.
He'll still look cute in his outfit though!!

And, did I forget to tell you mom made me a rug? I was going to order one, and I wanted a color block rug like this, but they are all really expensive. She had an idea to cut up bath rugs, and then sew them together with dental floss. And that's just what she did.

On to the Projects that I haven't completed!! :)
I wanted to paint this and put it low between the glass doors to hang bags and jackets there.

Also, between the windows I wanted to have a vinyl wall art by Dr. Seuss. I thought I could use my Cricut machine and I bought the black vinyl roll to do it, again I just haven't it yet. :)
Quote 1:
Quote 2:

Which quote do you like better??
Lastly, my friend, Jaymie, has graciously said she would paint me a "Cat in the Hat" on the wall somewhere. Remember, she did Brianne's bathroom last summer.

So, he still needs to go somewhere, and curtains still need to be hung, and a I wanted a little chalkboard. Maybe in a few weeks we will have another update!!

Bye, Bye from the Seussville!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all my friends out there with little ones!!

Thank you Jesus for giving me the best mother in the world!!
And Thank you Jesus for these two little ones who have made me a Mama!!
Kylee, you are the joy of my existence!!

Baby Boy, I love you from the depths of my heart before I even knew you!! I can't wait to hold you!!

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on...pooped on...chewed on... peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom

Proactive and Productive

Today, I got Kylee her first prescription filled. It kind of caught me off guard that they didn't have any of her information on file, but then I got thinking that all the times she has been sick have just called for Tylenol!!!

What a Blessing!!
Why the Prescription?
Yesterday, her eye was kind of matted, but not red at all. Jason and I both thought it might be allergy related. This morning it was matted shut were she couldn't open it. I decided to be on the pro-active end of this and call Dr. Patyrak. He didn't even want to see her; they just filled the eye drop prescription for us. So that is good; whatever it is it should clear up in 24 hours.
I still don't even know if it is Pink Eye; her eye really doesn't look that bad, but we are supposed to be around some distant cousins on Friday so I felt like we should kick it in the butt!! :)
What a Blessing!!
On to other things, I was very productive yesterday; although, laying in bed last night Jason asked "So, what did you do today?" After knocking him a good one, I went on to explain.....
- Organized and made lists for 2 Scrapbooks I am working on about what will be each page, and got 5 SCRAPBOOK PAGES done
- paid bills, which is good for me because it couldn't have been that one time during this pregnancy I forgot on a couple of them...... Opps!! Don't tell....
- got Kylee signed up for the Mommy and Me Swim Lessons this summer
- FINISHED cleaning out the office were baby boy will go. Now, I just have to rearrange some of the furniture that is in there, and then I can organize his stuff better, and get ready to paint. But this was a huge accomplishment. I think I have been working on it for 5 months. :)
- organized the storage closet
- worked on AWANA end of the year stuff
- And made Jason a To Do List!! :)

I finally got over it.....

People keep asking me what we are going to do in the new baby boy's room, and I have to say I have been pouting for about a month now. But I am over it!!
And see, I didn't make a big deal about it because many of you didn't even know I was pouting!! :)
You see, I wanted this patchwork print from a store online. We ordered on the internet; the next day we get an email that says "they think it is out of stock." Well, it was out of stock, and I even waited a few weeks and called back and tried to order it, and it was Out of Stock. I was just hoping it would have been there. Anyways, I really liked the brown and the orange in this patchwork.

So, I pouted for about a month, and then I guess you finally just have to move on!!
We found this and just bought, and I think I am liking it. It doesn't have the orange in it, but I think we can still use some khaki or brown with it. What do you think?
It has mostly blue, navy blue, chambry (sp?) blue, red, and several different greens.

This will be one side of the bumper pad, some of the bed skirt, a quilt, and some on the curtains, and a pillow or two.

Do any of you have ideas about what you could coordinate with it? I don't know if stripes, or dots, or checks, or maybe just solids......
