Egg Rolls

Kylee helped me roll the homemade egg rolls the other night! We had fried rice, and some grilled veggies to go with them. Jason made some homemade ginger sauce, and sweet and sour sauce too! My sink was so full of dirty dishes after all that! :)

I love them, but they are a lot of work. I don't think Jason really liked them that much, but the kids actually ate them really good! I think it helped Kylee "seeing" what was in them. She said she loved them!!

Best Dad!

Jason and the kids laid outside to look at the stars the other night! They love to do this, and they all insisted they take the COUCH outside!! I refused, so then they tried to lift the recliner outside, and a bunch of M&M's fell out of it! Ha!

Life is so sweet with all of them!

Stockshow Time

Two weeks ago, Addisyn got to show in her first stockshow! To say, Dad was excited way back in the summer to start buying lambs for her is an understatement! Ha! It takes lots of practice and learning just like anything else, but she and Dad did good this year.

And then all the littles got to show in the Pee Wee show, and got a Silver Dollar!

Nice Surprise!

I got the cutest package in the mail today! It shouldn't have been a surprise, because, well I ordered it! But, I didn't know it was going to be that cute! I got a desk calendar from Erin Condren. And I got a coupon and some really cute gift labels for FREE!! So pleased and excited to use it!

Crazy 8's

We sure have been enjoying our nightly games of Crazy 8's! Everyday I tell her she's going down! But really, I'm glad she likes to play with me!

Say Cheese

Say Cheese is the worst thing you can say to your kid when taking pictures! It seems all they do, especially Maggie, is shut their eyes real tight and grin looking way up at the ceiling!

So, we are working on keeping our eyes open when we smile, but I'm not sure if this looks better or not! Ha!

BBall

Last week, Kylee and I snuck out of the house to the girls basketball game! It's always a treat because Paw-Paw will get you something at half time from the concession stand! Yum! And a friend from her class was there, and they both caught t-shirts from the cheerleaders! I think everybody in the stands got one! :)

She tells me a lot lately, (on her own), "Mom, I really am going to play basketball when I'm bigger!" And, she told me last week, that they had free day at PE, and she shot baskets, and quote "I made a lot!"

Yellow

We went to a double birthday party this weekend for some friends!! And Maggie immediately found and collected the yellow balloons!

Jason said the party was awesome; I think he liked it because all the dads/guys just get in their group and stay there and talk for 2 hours! Oh, and it included food!!

Our little friend Jarrett from the nursery at church was at the party too. One time Maggie was hitting him in the face with the balloon over and over, and he was so sweet, just standing there taking it, and then he started yelling "Maggie's Mama, Maggie's Mama" so I would come discipline her! Ha!

Maggie loves the color yellow! Anything that we see that is yellow, she says "because I like yellow." :) She also loves to have pig tails. Jason started doing pig tails with her a while back, and she still is requesting them! So for her birthday coming up in March I thought the Little Miss Sunshine girl would fit her personality right now perfectly! It's really hard to find anything with this theme, but I think yellow will do!

My Helper

Jaxon has been my little helper lately! He loves helping cook, or put stuff away in the kitchen. He also likes to help at the grocery store by getting things for me and putting them in the basket. And he's really good at reminding me of things we need!

He helped me make some banana bread last week! And I just noticed he has two eggs in his hands! Crazy boy!

Sleep Over x 2

On Friday, Emma asked if Kylee could come get some hot chocolate (Kylee's favorite) and play Barbies! What a nice surprise!!

Jaxon and I went to pick up Kylee that evening, and then Emma came to spend the night at our house, and Jaxon and Easton had a sleep over at their house! How fun to have sweet friends the same ages as yours!

But, I have to say, little Maggie, was beyond excited when Emma walked into our house! She just jumped up and squealed! Emma was so sweet to let Maggie play "Barbies" with them!

I texted Eve these pictures of them playing Barbies at some point, an she texted back that the boys were playing "target practice" with the Barbies! Ha!

Such sweet times!!

Maggie Made a Waffle

Maggie made a waffle all by herself the other night because that's just how we roll!

Seriously, it was quite hilarious  although, now she thinks she's funny, and I'm afraid she might think this should be a regular occurrence.

She got the toaster out of the drawer, put it on the cabinet and PLUGGED it in, got a waffle out of the freezer, and put it in the toaster. She got a paper plate, and a fork and a knife, and that is when Jason walked in, and asked her what she was doing. Ha! She got the waffle out of the toaster, and it was hot and everything!

Got a rag and wiped up her syrup mess too! I really can't believe she did all that!! Funny girl!!

Snow Days

These cold snow days are for the birds. Or at least for people that like it. We've been spending the time inside, and together! Ha!

Kylee had Addi spend the night. And Jaxon and Maggie got to spend the night with Karter and Lexi. That was fun! Maggie got these pajamas for Christmas and would not take them off the first day, and loves wearing them! :)

We watched the Paw-Paw's cows one day.

The sisters took a bubble bath with some Doc McStuffins Bubbles!

Jason and the kids made a homemade peach pie. Each of them got to pick a cookie cutter to design it with: a mickey mouse, a heart, a double heart, and a pumpkin. It tasted really good.

We had another sleep over, and this time Karter got to spend the night here! We made cookie monsters with my new cast iron skillet that Mom and Dad got us for Christmas!

And now we are ready for warmer days! Oh, how I don't think it's coming anytime soon!

Life is sweet.

Before Christmas, we went on a road trip to Perini Ranch.

The food was good, but the friendships were better! Love these couples; we are so blessed to get to do life with them!

We roasted marshmallows by the fire one night before Christmas; just us. It was fun.

Jason parents had everybody over for a cookout on Tuesday night. It was COLD! But, we bundled up and the kids had a blast running around with the dogs and cousins, and the fire was really warm, so that helped!

Life is sweet sharing it with these people.
