Seriously! I need your help!
It all started when Wendy took this amazing picture of my children.
So, I obviously wanted it framed and put up in the house. But I really wanted it big..... I looked online for some of those really big scalloped frames. I found one, but the size I wanted it was going to be $400 for the frame! Ridiculous!
So I mentioned making one to Jason, and he's on board to do it! Glad I married a man that doesn't mind a good project! :)
So, I purchased some wood from Lowes, and printed, cut, and traced the scallop I wanted.
I borrowed an old school projector, and traced the scallop as big as I wanted the frame on the wall.
Cut it out, and traced it on the wood, and Jason cut the wood. Cutting out the part in the middle was a little trickier, but he did it!!
And put a nice routed edge on it!
Here lies the problem! What color to paint it?
I have a red buffet that it will hang above..... It is really barn red.
So I don't know what color to paint the frame.
No White, because the cotton is pretty white in the picture and I think it will wash out.
No gray, our walls are gray.
Not, red or purple or pink or orange or black....
So, it leaves me with
yellow or turquoise or a lime green...
I already painted it a gray, and then I put black on top of that, so when I distress it some of those colors will show through......
