3 in 2, and a Trip to Lubbock

Kylee and I have had the pleasure to see 3 of our friends in 2 days. On Wednesday afternoon, Karen and Rylee came over. (I coached with her at Christoval.) They are only 12 days apart. Kylee had a good time playing with Rylee. Here they are.

On Wednesday Night, Cole and Kerri from high school called and invited us over for supper at their duplex. So we loaded up and went. Makenzie was born in August about a month before Kylee. We really enjoyed catching up with them. Cole and Jason just sat and talked about farming!! I didn't get a picture of them together. Makenzie is getting up on all fours, and trying to crawl. She is so cute, and has lots of blonde hair.

Thursday morning, Mom, Kylee, and I headed to Meadow, outside of Lubbock, to see the newest little Kenzie Grace Garmon. Kylee did awesome in the car all the way there. Kenzie was born about a 1 1/2 ago. I have never seen a baby with so much HAIR. I thought Kylee had a lot when she was born, but Kenzie can already were a little clippie thing. She is precious, and I think looks a lot like her mama. And again I didn't get a picture of her.

We couldn't go to Lubbock, and not go shopping a little bit. So we went to the Mall, and Babies R Us. Kylee got an Easter Dress. And Mom bought some other outfits for the grandkids, but wouldn't let me see them. I guess they are Easter gifts.

Spring Is Here!!

Since everyone is on Spring Break, I decided to do a SPRING post. Hopefully, spring is here to stay, and not get 40 degrees again. Friday, the 20th, is the first Official day of Spring, so maybe it will stay WARM.

Signs of Spring

Our Pear Tree outside has been blooming. And the pecan trees. And Jason said the Pecan Trees are supposed to know if there is another freeze or not. Well, see....

The weather has been nice enough for Kylee to wear her SHORT shorts.

That's is for now. I am enjoying being at Mom's since she is on Spring Break. We may go to Lubbock on Thursday, and see a certain little baby, and do a little shopping for an Easter dress.

Oops.....

So on Friday Night we went and watched Fireproof at one of our church members' house. We had already seen it, but decided to go anyways. It is a good movie, and of course jason says with lame acting.

We got home about 11 and Kylee had fallen asleep in the carseat, so we just left her in there, well she woke up at 12:30, so I fed her, she had fallen asleep, so Jason took her to her crib, but she woke up and he didn't want to mess with her, so he was going to let her cry for about 10 minutes, well I went in there and rescued her, and got her to sleep, and I went to back to bed. Well, at about 1 she started crying, so I thought well now, I will let her cry for about 10 minutes, so I turned the monitor OFF, not down, but OFF. You know how this is fixing to go..............at 4:45AM I woke up, still not in PANIC mode of what had happened, I roll over and turn on the monitor, still not in PANIC mode yet, and when I turn the volume up and hear it is silent, I JUMP out of bed, and thought, oh NO, I didn't wake up after 1o minutes. Well, needless to say, she was perfectly fine, in her crib sleeping away. So we don't know how long she cried, but she feel asleep. And she still loves us and smiles at us. :)

Have any of you done something like this?

My TOP Memories

I really wanted to do this a while back, so I would have them down for the record. So here goes.

In our Experiencing God Bible Study, we learned about identifing "Spiritual Markers" in our lives. What is a spiritual marker? Each time you have encountered God's call or directions for your life, you mentally build a spiritual marker at that point.

Anyways, here is my list. Most of them are spiritual markers for me, but some are just GREAT memories.

1. Accepting God's call on my life when I was 8 years old at VBC. At that point in my life, I didn't know all these big terms, or even every story of the Bible, but as I sat in church that night, I just came to the realization that I needed to accept Christ as my Savior. I called on Him, and HE saved me. I remember it like it was yesterday.

2. Going to Lake Buchanan every summer with some really great friends from church. One summer Travis and Clay went with us. So the girls outnumbered the boys 4 to 2. We were making these beaded necklaces and anklets (we didn't really ask the boys if they wanted to). One of us girls accidentally spilt the beads on the carpet, and we made Travis pick them up. SORRY Travis!! We were so mean, but I guess we were teaching you how to live with a GIRL!!!! Far more to many great memories from Lake Buchanan, Poppy's Point, to mention.

3. Riding to the school with Brianne in her black Jeep, singing songs before our basketball games every week.

4. Playing at the State Basketball Tourn my Junior Year.

5. Homecoming my Senior Year.

6. My sophomore year of college I joined Phi Lamb. That was by far the best thing that could have happened to me at that point in my life. God gave me some of my best friends at this point, and many more girls that I will always remember. He allowed me to be Chaplain my senior year. As outspoken as I am, I still don't believe I am the best speaker out there, but amongst many fears God was able to use me there. What a blessing Phi Lamb was to me. I love all you girls!!

7. How Jason and I started dating. It was absolutely a God thing. There is no other explanation for a farmer boy that never left the house to meet a girl. So yes, it was a God thing.

8. Phi Lamb STOMP competitions at ASU. We won 2 years in a row!! YEAH!!!!

9. January of 2006, the Texas Longhorns had just won the National Championships, and Jason and I were snow skiing in Purgatory, Coloardo with several other friends. In the cabin, Jason got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I said Yes.

10. Our wedding, June 24, 2006. I married a man I really never thought I would, but as the months went on God revealed to me that this was the man that I could NEVER live without. He made me complete. I learned that God shows us how to love each other. We love because He first loved us. On our wedding day, everyone said they never saw to people smile so much!! We were happy and in love.

11. Finding out we were pregnant!!

12. The doctor handing Kylee to me for the first time. Holding her. And telling her how much I loved her. And waited for her to be with us. God is good.

Thoughts for Thursday

The past 3 mornings, I have literally had to lift my body one part at a time out of bed. VERY SLOWLY!! WHY???? Because of 2 words.

BODY PUMP

It is hard; well, for those of you who work out regulary and lift weights, it probably wouldn't be as physically draining as it is on me. BUT going from running like once a week, to hard core weight lifting, it has taken its toll on my body. BUT, I love it!! It is 55 minutes of repetition weight lifting. We do squats at the beginning; those kill me. Then triceps, biceps, power clean, dead lifts, rows, lunges (those kill me), and then end with abs. I have the least amount of weight possible on the bar. Nearly everyone else in there has big weights on. I was thinking I would try to add more, but you have to do so many of them, I would die.

All this to say, I really like it. Hopefully we can seem some results!!

For more interesting news, Kylee has had carrots for supper 2 nights in a row. And she seems to like them really well.

Anyone else keeping up with Survivor this season? We have been which makes me real excited about tonight!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

Weekend Review and Picture Post

Hello Everyone!!! We had a good weekend!! On Friday, we just hung out with Brianne and Duane. We had Chick-Fil-A, so what could be better!!! On Saturday, I managed to make 3 of my 4 events. Sorry we missed Aryna's Birthday Party. The Phi Lamb Alumni Luncheon was good. It was good to see Jenny, Kristin, and Amanda. I wish more alumni could have been there. Maybe next year.

Here are some pics of the little one!! She is getting so big, and as always talking up a storm. She is now officially rolling over. She has been for a few weeks now, I just kept forgetting to say something. She manages to get wherever she wants to go by rolling.

And she likes to hang out of the swing like this. When she was little, we didn't strap her in, just put the tray down, well last week, when she was hanging with her head and arms out, I dedicied it was time to strap her in. She thinks it is funny.

Here she is all standing big and ready for church on Sunday!!! She got this outfit as a gift, and it came with these matching shoes. Well, they were to big, but she just had to wear them with the outfit. I said it looked like she had boats on. :)

And last but not least!! IS THIS BAD???? I mean sleeping on her stomach!! I went to check on her one night, and she had rolled to her stomach, and I nearly jerked her right up, but then I noticed she was fine. So I left her. What have y'all heard?
