Halloween 2011

This is ridiculous!! We filled this whole jar up with Halloween candy this year. I think I will secretly begin throwing some away.

We were The Princess and The Frog this year.

Of course, Jason has to say their costumes are lame this year. So I told him, not to worry, next year, I would love to buy the $90 costume from Pottery Barn. :)

On Saturday, we went to the Veribest Festival. The kids had a good time, and we can seem to make them happy with buying a very small amount of tickets, and playing the games one time. Don't think that will last forever.

The babies thought each other were funny.

We went trick-or-treating to our neighbors around our house tonight. But trick-or-treating around here is not typical.

First, you don't walk. You have to drive from one house to another. Which is extremely hard getting everyone in the car with their costumes on and all the bags, wands, crowns, and candy.

Second, you ALWAYS are pressured to come inside and sit down for a while. :)

Third, there is nearly ALWAYS homemade goodies like brownies and cookies to eat while you are visiting, hence the come on inside.

Fourth, it takes so long to do all this that we only trick-or-treat to 5 houses.

It's fun though, and I am so glad it is only ONCE A YEAR!!!

Daddy's at the Door

Why do kids get so excited when the door bell rings or someone drives up?

It's like a break in the mundane, or something.

Our doorbell rang this morning, and both the kids jump up and run to the door. I knew who it was. It was the UPS man. He had a package for us. :)

This is what it was.

Let me explain.

One day NOT in the near future, Jaxon will have to get out of the baby bed and go to a twin bed, for the new baby to sleep in.

Sooooooooooo..........................

I knew what I wanted for his twin bed immediately when I started thinking about this a few weeks ago. I wanted this Madras Plaid from Pottery Barn. This is the madras I originally wanted when we were doing his bumper bad. But, it just didn't work out then.

So, I went to PBK and put it in my cart, and let it sit there, for a week or so, while I thought more about it. Well, in the meantime, the curtains that match, and the shower curtain that matches went from being available to buy to "Out of Stock". I got worried the quilt and shams would do the same, so I just went ahead and ordered it.

I think he likes it.

I have been collecting a few things on sale along the way. I got a set of Transportation sheets on sale, and a blue chambray bed skirt on sale too.

But, as excited as they get when the doorbell rings, they get SO excited when Daddy gets home.

Seriously, it kind of hurts my feelings. :(

I think its nice that they hug and kiss and laugh and scream and get really excited to see each other.

As I stand there and watch, a little sad inside. :(

Not really.

As soon as he gets here, I run as fast as I can and shut our bedroom door and do the happy dance.

Not really.

Something that's even more cool is Kylee got to ride home from JD with Jason on the tractor today. We are "trying out" a new tractor or something.

Here they are walking to get on the tractor. Can you see them??

This tractor has 2 seats on it, so she was so excited to get her "own" seat. Pretty sure she thinks that seat is hers from now on.

And there off.

You see something white at the bottom of this picture. That is the hood of my car that I am driving.

Never let your kids ride with me.

Our Most Recent Pastime

When we were in Chicago, we visited Lego Land. It was really cool, and they even had a life size, Woody from Toy Story, made out of Lego's. But y'all wouldn't know that because I haven't posted about Chicago, yet. Sorry.

Anyways, Mimi brought Jaxon home a box of Legos from Chicago. Or technically Duplos.

See, I am learning a lot about all these boy toys.

We didn't have legos growing up so this is a whole new experience for me. But, Jason on the other hand, played with them alot when he was little, and he can still build some really cool towers, forts, houses, baby doll beds, airplanes, stairs, and guns.

Jaxon just likes to destroy whatever is being built.

I have plans for Christmas already. :)

Fighting like Cat's and Dog's

We have no cat.

We have no dog.

But, in what we lack, we make up for in

FIGHTING!

Do your kids fight?

Some people might say mine are to young to fight, aggravate, or pick on each other.

It was news to me too. But then again really it wasn't, because I knew how siblings could fight.

I mean, I always beat my sister up when we were little.

I just didn't think the aggravation would start when they were this young.

Yesterday in Hobby Lobby, I actually had to seperate the two of them. Yes, seperate them. I remember my mom having to do the same thing with us. Oh geez.

Every time Kylee got close to the cart Jaxon would pull her hair out, which is a whole other problem.

Maybe we should get a cat. Or a dog.. ......

Toe Jam

I am learning a lot about raising a boy. I am learning a lot everyday.

You know the saying "boys will be boys"; I totally agree.

Jaxon will do things that Kylee never did.

He has pretty much lived his whole life with a bruise and bump on his forehead and snot running out of his nose.

He's gross. He's dirty. He smells. He's active. He's daring.

And, I love him.

But, while the girls were living the high life in Chicago (another post to come, as soon as my pictures will load), Jaxon got a bad boo-boo on his toe.

He pulled a chair over on his right, big toe.

Jason said he was so upset and cried really bad.

He is better. Although on Sunday, he pulled a toy down on top of it, and it started bleeding again.

Poor baby.

Life will go on, with or without a toenail. :(

I'm leaving, again.

This time Kylee and I are headed, with Jason's mom, to see his sister in college!! She has a fall break, and we are just going to visit and see the city!!!

We are both so excited, as we have never been there before. Kylee can't wait to go to the doll store, and eat a cupcake.

But, Jason and Jaxon are staying home to hold down the fort. Maybe it will rain some more. Praise the Lord, for the rain.

We are praying for safe flights, and safe travels.

And deep down inside, I am praying that this little boy stays safe while I am gone because.........

It will be 3 MEN and A BABY!!!

(Jason, his brother, and his dad are watching him.) :)

So, do me a favor, and if you see them out and a bout' will you hug him and give him a kiss for me!! I'll miss him so much!!

Love!!!

Rocking Chair Fun

Who knew rocking chairs could be so much fun?

A Rocking Chair on top of a rocking chair.

Jason made the big rocking chair he is sitting in.

I don't think it will stay in the house, seeing we have to much furniture and no room for more.

He usually ends up rocking so fast he and the rocking chair fall over frontwards.

And he seems to like climbing better than rocking.

In other news, is this rain not awesome. Praise the Lord!!

Our group made it back from our Women of Joy Conference in San Antonio this weekend. We stayed on the riverwalk in the Marriott. It was so nice, and so fun to be right there by it all. The speakers were great, and the music was even better. Speakers were:

Gretchen Carlson from Fox News, Anita Renfroe, Kay Arthur, and Sheri Rose Shepherd.

On Saturday Night, Michael W. Smith performed. He is so talented; it is really unbelievable. And the guy that leads music all weekend is worship leader at Liberty University, and the church there, he is Charles Billingsley. He is so awesome. I just love hearing people speaking and singing with the talent the Lord has given them. It is truly amazing!!

And our group is the best group, of course!!! :) Can't wait til next year!!!
