Haircut #2

I took Kylee to get her haircut for the second time last week. She did really good sitting in the chair, and putting the cloth on.

It turned out really cute!!

My mom said she looks like Brianne did when she was little!! :)

10 MONTHS

My baby boy was 10 months old, yesterday!!

I just can't say how much I love this guy!! I joke around with people, that life at our house gets better when our babies turn 9 months old.

And for Jaxon this is the case as well. For some reason my kids, don't want to quit nursing in the night, until I make them at 9 months. I know, other mothers can get their babies to sleep all night at 2 months, not mine.

So, for the past month he has been sleeping all night. The transition of not nursing him in the night went really easy, and now he might cry in the night, but just finds his paci and goes back to sleep.

So, life is better over here!!

He is also WALKING, everywhere!!

He is usually happy, but can be fussy when he is sleepy in the mornings or hungry. Eating baby food and some table food at lunch and dinner. Nursing 4 times a day.

Is the cutest baby boy ever!! Oh, sorry.

Loves playing with Sister; that is what I am trying to get him to call her. We'll see.

Although, she gets mad at him for messing up her baby dolls, or a game she is playing. And she is still super jealous of Jason playing with Jaxon.

Likes to squat down, and seems like he is getting thinner now that he has been walking.

Likes to reach for things real high, can wave bye-bye, says mama, and has 4 teeth!!

Yes, the birthday party planning is well underway!! :)

Giardia

WARNING: YOU MIGHT BE GROSSED OUT. JUST SAYIN. READ AT YOUR OWN WILL.

I didn't mention anything about this on the blog, well, because it is SO NASTY!!

In fact frequent sayings around our house had been,

"You're so nasty!!"

"Something is wrong with you!!"

Well, in fact, something was wrong with me.

Here's my note after I talked with the nurse on the phone.

I had a PARASITE!! Called giardia. You can read all about it here!! :)

I have had horrible symptoms for about 7 weeks, and finally said something is wrong with me. One of the symptoms is fatigue/no energy. I can not explain to you how bad that feeling is. I wanted to do things, and I did have to force myself, but it is just a bad feeling. ANd I had the diarrhea everyday for 7 weeks, like alot. It was bad.

Anyways, I researched on the internet what it could be talked to mom, Brianne, Dad :), Jason's mom, and Ruben about what it could be. Finally, I just called by OB/GYN, and they scheduled just a basic test for a ova or parasite.

I thought all along that is what it was.

And sure enough, it was. I immediately went to town, swallowed the one (4 pills) SUPER PILL, and within 24 hours I was SO MUCH better, and shortly after that I felt 100% again.

I don't have a clue where I got it from, and no if you've been around me it is not contagious. It would only be contagious if you ingested the same food/water I did.

After all this, I say I have a great respect for the people who work in medicine: receptionist, nurses, doctors, and LAB workers!! I would never ever want to do their job, because well, the human body can do nasty things!!

Now, I think I'll go enjoy a nice big breakfast!! :)

Big Apple Adventure

We had VBS at church this last weekend. It was 3 days of fun, and really does wear a kid out. Kylee and Jaxon both napped for 2 1/2 hours on Saturday!!

The theme was "Big Apple Adventure". Speaking of the Big Apple, I was so close to getting to go to NEW YORK!!! In like a week; about a month ago it came up that Jason's mom and sister were going to go, and I could go with them. But the more I have thought about it, and with Jaxon still nursing, I don't think I am going to go.

MY REASONS:

it would be 6 days, not that that is a terribly long time, BUT Jason really doesn't want to keep Jaxon for 6 days even if I did pump and freeze, because well he is a mama's boy. Ahem.

Jason said I could go another time.

THAT WAS ALL I NEEDED TO HEAR!!! :)

Then he said, it had to be without him. Even better. Not really, but seriously. I think I would much rather go as a girls trip anyways!! Maybe soon!! :)

Kylee and Emma in the taxi cab photo booth. SSSSSOOOOO CUTE!!!!

The photo booth I mean.

LOOKY, LOOKY!!! MATCHY!! MATCHY!!

I GOT IT!!

Then there is this competion between of girls vs. boys to see who can raise the most money, for our church mission trip in July. We started the competition in April towards the end of Awana, and we ended the "violent, and brutal"competition on Saturday of VBS.

Let's just say the GIRLS won AGAIN!!!

LOSERS= pie in face

I know what Jason is telling Travis here. He wanted to throw the pie back in my face.

Not going to happen!! :)

We had so much fun at VBS; Kylee danced like a professional, or something. Probably more like a something. But, we also had a good time eating homemade ice cream at friends house, and playing church league softball last night.

Hope you had a great weekend!!

Random, so Random

This is going to be so random.

- Jason found a bug in our water jug, so he dumped all the water out, and I haven't had a chance to fill up the 5 gallon bottles, and we are out of little water bottles. I feel like I am thirsty all day long.

- I ordered a swimsuit from Land's end; kind of exciting; kind of not, because it probably won't fit!! :) And Jason informed me that anyone that has ever had children does not need to wear a swimsuit. I said, "I'm not wearing a bikini." He said "It didn't matter!" I think that is rude. :)

- Jason's knee is doing great. Got cleared from rehab (has to do it at home), and checked by the dr. Go back in 6 weeks. Praise the Lord.

- We are starting our VBS tonight at church. Should be fun. Jason and I having matching shirts. I'm so excited. I don't think we have ever worn matching shirts. Maybe I'll get a picture of us together.

- Mom is out of school.......I love that.

- Kylee thinks she is starting Kindergarten this year with her cousin, Addisyn. She says "I go to Kindergarten this year." No sweetie, it will be 3 more years. She might be a little excited. Why do kids get so excited to go to Kindergarten?? I think Addisyn is about to pee in her pants about it. I know why they do, but that's a whole nother post.

- Metal Mouth. Slumber parties. and Brace Face. I've heard it all from Jason's brother, Josh. :) My braces are better. They don't hurt near as bad. But, I still don't like them alot.

- Memorial day was fabulous with delicious food, and crazy and loud games!!

- Jaxon has 2 TEETH. One of the ones on top came through, and it is not the front two, it is one next to it. That is weird!! :)

That's all folks!!

If I die......

Jason's knee surgery went super fast and the best it possibly could.

Praise the Lord!!

We got there, and back in a room!! And then from there we had to wait about two hours, but it wasn't too bad because they were checking us in, and that took a little while, and then as it got closer they came back in to do more paperwork. After I went to the bathroom once, and Jason went twice, he was ready to go back!! :)

He had the surgery on his left knee. And they put this stocking thing on the opposite leg; he thought that was cool. And then they shaved his knee before the surgery, and he thought that was cool too.

The actual surgery only took 30 minutes.

The dr. came out while I was nursing Jaxon in the waiting room (lovely) :), and he said that it went great, and definetely was a meniscus tear, but all the cartlidge and everything else looked great. Yeah!!

This is what we did to pass the time. I took pictures of myself!! You know, because, I got braces on the bottom. I've had them once; didn't wear my retainer in college, they went crooked; it never really bothered me, but mom and jason kept saying stuff about it. So here I am again.

How do I feel about it now??

I HATE THEM!!

In fact, I asked Jason if I could just go back over there and immediately take them off!! :)

Anyways, they say only six months to a year.

But taking pictures only passed about 5 minutes of our time, so we sat around and chatted. We talked about high school sport days, "Who was better?", compared childbirth to his knee surgery, talked about being hungry, how much we loved each other, and if he should buzz his hair really short. Then, he always does this to me.

"Shyanne, I may die."

"Yes, I know Jason, you are going to die. I just hope not today. "

"What are you going to do if I die?"

Then he proceeds to tell me what to do, if he dies. I mean seriously anytime we have any major thing or go on an out-of-town trip, he brings this up. I guess it's not a bad thing because it really makes you think.

I told him yesterday, he better make sure he is saved. :)

I know; we are dorkos!!

But, he made it out fine, we are home, and he doesn't feel great because of the anthestia, but hopefully that will wear off soon.

When we got home, he had a nice delievery from my cousins, and aunt and uncle!! Thank you so much for the fun candy/cookie bouquet!! Kylee and I are dying to get inside of it!! :) Love y'all!!

Thanks for the prayers!!
