One Big One

Here is ONE BIG Christmas Run down!!!

Christmas Eve Eve I made the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls. They don't look anything like her's, but tasted pretty good. And I Mom got us her new cookbook to be released in March, so excited!!!

Christmas Eve morning we went to Jason's parents and opened gifts there. There were boots, IPAD's, guns, legos, basketball goals, gift cards, and a really big gift to JJ Holik's Farm that was some kind of saw.

Christmas Morning at our house. Santa came. He delievered.

There were horses, candy, John Deere, baby dolls, gymnastic mats, books, purses, gloves, and a Garmin for Jason that I waited in line at Best Buy for on Black Friday to save my $10. And he actually likes it. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Jason went to church Christmas morning. The kids and I went to mom's to help her cook lunch. Should have gone to church because I missed the BIGGEST Military homecoming Ever, with a family from our church!!! Rats.

We ate lunch, and then opened gifts. Christmas on a Sunday threw everything off. It was kind of weird. There was jewelry, books, games, printers, boots, outfits, Nerf guns, and dad's Keurig Coffee Maker that he loves!!

It was a great and super busy Christmas, but we are so blessed to have our family so close.

Christmas JOY

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

in hopes that Saint Nicholas would soon be there.

UUUUUUHHHHHH.............................YEAH RIGHT!!

Our house is bouncing off the walls with Christmas JOY these past few days.

The kids are more wild than ever. They know something BIG is about to happen.

I am constantly arguing with Jason about NOT opening any gifts yet, and to quit telling the kids what each present is.

The floors are swept, mopped, vaccummed, and all the toys are in their place. The clothes are laid out for the next few days. All the gifts are wrapped. Homemade Cinnamon Rolls are on the breakfast menu, and as of right now, everyone is still asleep.

Which makes me smile.

We have presents starting today, going for the next 3 days. It will be an exciting time together as a family.

I am going to enjoy each minute and then hope it doesn't pass to fast. I look forward to seeing the kids faces on Christmas morning, and the JOY in their eyes.

I hope you enjoy your Christmas too.

Breakfast with an Angel - Part 2

Jaxon got left out when Kylee and I went to Breakfast with an angel a few weeks ago, so he got to eat breakfast with just ME!! :)

Really, we were the only 2 at the house last Saturday morning because Kylee went to a SLUMBER PARTY, and Jason was at Men's Breakfast at church, so we had a nice breakfast together.

We had homemade Banana Nut Bread.

It was NOT that yummy. What temperature do you cook yours at? Mine always cooks to fast and then ends up burning the outside edges, and not being moist at all.

But, what I really wanted you to look at is this kids HAIR!!!

It is wild and hard to handle,

just like he is!!! :)

Projects.....

Sometimes, I question why I do projects.

I currently finished this Hershey Kiss project from Shindig Parties to Go.

It sounded super easy, so I thought I would give it a try. But FIRST, I had to collect the materials I would need. It was only a few things, but seemed to get the best of me.

1. Printable Sticker Paper - I ordered from Online labels. This was easy.

2. 3/4 inch round circle punch. Hobby Lobby does not carry this size, but Michael's had it.

3. Pint size jars. At first, pint size jars don't seem very big, but when you are making 20 of them, that requires MORE hershey kisses, which starts being aLOT.

Anyways....

Using the free printable from Shindig Parties to Go, you print the stickers, and begin punching them out. I ended up printing 6 sheets of stickers, which I believe was 594 stickers.

See, I'm telling you, why do I even do stuff like this.

Then, you start peeling off the back and stick it to the bottom of a hershey kiss.

Then you throw it in a big bag, and just keep going and going until you have a really big MOUND of hershey kisses.

And then you realize you don't have enough kisses, so you print out another paper, and repeat all the steps. I think I am crazy.

But, at least, I had a really cute little helper who was do her "painting".

And, then you smile, because you finished, not because you enjoyed it!! And then you realize you didn't even take a picture of the finished project, but again, you are just happy they are through!!

Then ask yourself again, why do I do stuff like this?

And then you really try NOT to think about what you just did. You put a sticker onto the wrapper of a hershey kiss, knowing it will go straight to the TRASH as soon as they eat it!!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

All Dressed Up

We got all dressed up last Friday evening, for our church's annual Christmas Banquet. Jason and I coordinated!! :) I got his this red tie, that he kept saying 'everyone's going to make fun of me', and I had red tights on!! We looked good together, but then again, that's a good thing.

And for some dumb reason I volunteered to do something as a center piece on each table, and they do look very cute in the picture, and honestly, they didn't look very cute the whole time I was assembling them, but here they are..........

I spray painted these tree branches, and the clay pots, and then just hung christmas ornaments on them. It was like 30 degrees last week, and I was spray painting, totally dumb, and then worst of it all, I waited until the LAST MINUTE to start on them about Wednesday, and I was paniced until Friday!! My poor family. :)

Anyways, we had a great time, and I am glad that is over.

BECAUSE,

I am still super busy until Christmas!

Christmas Program at church set-up and perform, Baby Shower for Jesus, Christmas gifts for people that need to be given this week, and my niece's birthday party this weekend, plus another 2 parties to attend on Saturday. Yikes!!

Oh, and of course, BUNCO tonight, that I can't miss!! :)

Breakfast with an Angel

We heard the angels this past Saturday at, Breakfast with an Angel, that one of the local churches put on. They served over 600 people during the 2 times.

It was our first time to go to it, and we had a lot of fun. We got to sit with our friend, Emma.

We got to eat a BIG and yummy breakfast.

Then we saw the Christmas Play performance all told through the eyes of an Angel. Kylee thought the Angel was "real" and that "baby Jesus" was really there. :)

We waited in line to get our picture taken with the Angel.

And we got our picture taken with the cast of the play. How funny does this look??? :)

We had a great time!!

Matchy Matchy

The kids are starting to look alot like Christmas.

Christmas has landed at our house, and the kids are excited with an extra dose of silly......even when the pajamas are on and it is past everyone's bed time.

Take notice of Jaxon's mischievous look in this picture.

He whacked Kylee on the head, and more than once. And he seemed to enjoy it. What do you think?

You see, when we purposedly put the kids this close together, bad things happen.

My sister wanted to know what approach we were taking this year, with keeping the Christmas ornaments on the tree, and not on the floor or broken. My approach has been you get swatted when you pull the balls off. So far, he has been really good.

Although, he has been running away with the donkey from the Natvity Set and barking. Guess he thinks it's a dog?!?!

How is your Christmas coming along?
