Just News....

Room Update

Everything has been done; tomorrow Jason goes to buy the paint, and then the floor, and then that could be it. Well, besides trim, base boards, painting the interior doors, and painting the siding outside. But closeeeeeeee to be done!!

Major decisions are having to be made on my part right now. Not necessarily major, but fun decisions.

Theme: Dr. Seuss, color theme like this: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/dr-seuss-quilted-bedding/?pkey=dboys-quilts

Walls: Yellow

Curtains: Red and White Canopy Stripe kind of like this

Other than that there really wasn't a way to incorporate more color. So, mom has a small, upholstered rocking chair, and I might recover that in some blue fabric. And my friend, Jaymie, has offered to paint a small something on the walls for me!! :)
Other News:
Jason asks Kylee, "Where are your toots?" and she points to her diaper!! How lovely is that!! We may not know where our nose is, but we know where are "TOOTS" are!! :)
Kylee and I joined the CBS Bible Study last week. It was good, and I think it will be fun to go to. The studies are kind of hard for me for some reason. I've had Jason help me every night.
In fact right now, we have a LOT of Bible Studies going on. Here is what we are doing:
Sunday Mornings before church: Reading a book, I can't remember the name of it :)
Wednesday: CBS
Thursday Nights: we are both sitting in on a Intro to Ethics class taught by Dr. Barry Creamer, from Criswell. He flies down every week just to teach the class. He is a genius, no kidding aside, and the class is very difficult. But thank goodness we are getting a grade, but we do have to read alot for that.
And we are going to get to Co-Facilitate a "Dateable" series on Sunday Nights with our youth group. Should be fun, but guess what!! YEP!! We got to read a book for it!!
Anyways, we are just moving right along here! I think that is it for now!!
Hopefully next time, we will have pictures of the room!!!

Progress is being made!!!

Atleast somewhere progress is being made, because I have yet to organize our office in the house because first I just don't feel like it, and second I am just waiting my time til I can move it into the new room.
So progress is being made just on the other side of the house. The guys have worked really hard, and I just didn't realize how much "small" stuff there is to do with re-doing a room. There is electrial, and insulation, and cutting and trimming things, and leveling the floor. And that is just the few times I went out there to watch.
They completely pulled all the walls off, and got it bare to the wood frames. In the mean time, they built the floor up about 5 inches to be more even with the rest of the house.

Kylee walking into the room from outside in our carport!! Notice the pony tail!!!

Now, they have all the dry walls back up, and made a room in the back with a pocket door for storage. There used to be a window out of our laundry room, but they took that out and re-did the walls to accomodate more shelving space. And Jason had to re-do the "floating and taping" on the ceiling as well!! He is such a good man!!!

Before

After

So, what is next? They are going to make a doorway from the back of our living room that would lead into the playroom. Do one more "floating" on the walls, texture the walls, install the lights, and ceiling fan, fix an air vent from the attic, and put more insulation in the attic.

Then, I think it would be time to paint, and then do the floor. Cross our fingers by the end of the week!!!!

I think I have decided on a "theme" for the playroom. My first instinct about a year ago when I first started thinking about this was to do Dr. Seuss. The Pottery Barn had a bedding collection that I thought was cute. Then more recently I thought that it might be too "juvenille"!! So I thought I would just go with some dots/stripe bright colored fabric, and be done with it. But then, I decided that it would be okay for it to be "juvenille" now because THEY ARE LITTLE KIDS!

So back to the Dr. Seuss idea!! I think I might want to paint the room red or yellow!! Which both are extremely scary to me. Do any of y'all have a red or yellow room? What color tone did you use??

That's it for now!! Chow!!

County Stockshow

On Saturday, mom and I took Kylee to the County Stockshow at the Fairgrounds. It always brings back a lot of good memories of showing in high school. Kylee loves the animals and wasn't scared of any of them. She just stuck her hand straight out in any of the pens we walked by!!

Update!!!

Today, is going to be a good day!! I woke up in a "cleaning mood", which is great, because our house is nasty!! You know food on the floor from where Kylee eats, and papers and magazines thrown everywhere, from Kylee reading them, and clothes everywhere!! So I am off to a cleaning start today!!

But, let me mention, I thought I was going to die on Wednesday. I got the STOMACH BUG!! I mean it is the most violent thing out there!! It was horrible!! All day Wednesday I laid on the couch, and would only get up to go throw up!! Slept on the couch Wednesday night, and then yesterday I felt better, but just still really weak, and couldn't eat anything!! So I laid around yesterday, but today is better!! So that is good!! I survived, even though I didn't know if I would or not!! And Praise the Lord, Kylee or Jason have not gotten it yet!!

On to Exciting News, Jason, Josh, and his Dad are turning our garage into a Playroom/Office!!! This is so exciting, because we have an over abundance of toys that need to go somewhere!! And we have another bedroom right now that is being used as an office, which I am thinking we are going to need for the new baby!!
But I have a few questions about the rooming situation!!
1.If our 2nd baby is a girl, she could just share a room with Kylee, but I think they would wake each other up.
2. If our 2nd baby is a boy, then he will get is own room.
3. If our 2nd baby is a girl, I could put Kylee in a new room, and let the 2nd baby use the bumper pad and everything we already had for Kylee. But then you have 2 girl rooms. And if we were to have another baby, what if it was a boy?
Anyways, let me know what you have done and what works for you!!

Hi!!

My name is Shyanne, and I used to manage this blog pretty well. I figured I should re-introduce myself, since it has been 3 weeks. I have been lacking in the blogging area. But of course, with good excuses.
We had a great Christmas, I think tonight, January 4, might be the first night we have been home in over 3 weeks. Seriously!! So, you can imagine what my house looks like. It is actually getting better, Christmas gifts are getting put away, all the decorations are put away, household chores are once again being noticed!!
But like I said I have had very good excuses as to being so, well.....lazy!! One reason is, I recieved Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue, for Christmas, and once I started it I could literally not put it down. If I had to get up, I would walk around with it in my hand, and read as I was pouring Kylee bottles, or attempting to make breakfast!! It is so good, and I highly recommend it!!
Another reason is, well, I have been extremely nausea, not to the point of vomiting, although I did vomit on the way to Rotan for Christmas, probably a combination of nausea and car sickness. But yes, we are expecting another little baby!! We are extremely excited!!
Due August 14th!!
Hence, all the nausea!! I didn't really feel bad at all with Kylee, so this little one is definetely different!!
That's about all the news we have!!
Oh yeah, one more I totally am hurting and I am really banged up. I went and ran today, and just as I was finishing I tripped and fail on the pavement. I twisted my ankle, skinned my knees, elbow, and hands really bad. I konw I am a loser for falling, but Jason was real sweet, and I mean I'm going to live and everything, it is just really sore.
