CATS...

WARNING: For those of you that love cats and own many, you may not want to read this blog.

First of all, Jason and I are not big pet lovers. We don't have any pets, but I really always just thought whenever our kids are old enough to ask for one, we might get a dog or something then. But it really has always been understood they would have to go to Aunt Brianne's house to see the animals. Anyways, about a month ago this random cat shows up at the barn. And Jason fed it Apple Jacks for a while, and then finally I bought it some Meow Mix. But about a week ago, it ran off and we hadn't seen it. Well, yesterday it showed back up, and this cat had a huge belly (AKA....PREGNANT). Yeah, so I am like I don't want baby cats here. And many bad thoughts were running through my mind about this cat.

Well, little did we know it was about to have the kittens, and Jason opens the back door to put something on the grill for supper and it scares the mama cat and it runs off under my car, and Jason seems a baby kitten hanging out it's butt. So she was trying to have it on the porch. Well, we didn't want her to have it on the porch, so we shut the gate. Well, she crawls under the gate and insists she have it on the porch. So Jason goes back out there, and starts yelling trying to get it to go the barn, and he claps his hands real loud, and it scared the mama cat so bad, the BABY fell out on the grass, and the mom wouldn't come back and get it because she was so scared. Well, I am dying laughing inside, but then we start to feel bad, and Jason gets some paper towels and wraps the baby in it and takes it out to the barn were the mama cat is. And about 10 minutes later she had gotten the baby. So we think they are re-united in the barn somewhere.

Which, in the end, is a much better place for both of them. WHY couldn't she had just had the cat out there? I don't know. Anyways, we may have baby kittens to give away.

5 More weeks to GO.......

Yes, only 5 more weeks, and we will be holding our little baby girl!!! We are so excited and talk about her and love her so much already. God is so good!! I went to the doctor last Friday and everything was great. We have a Baby Basics class to go to tomorrow night. Should be fun!!

Yesterday, school started for nearly everyone, and for the first time ever I didn't go!! I have either been in school at Wall, or college, or I was teaching, but not this year. And it was really sad. I miss it a whole lot. I love seeing the kids there at school, and watching them learn, and become friends with other students. But not this year. The next 5 weeks will be a little LONG, and really slow, until Kylee gets here. And then I think I will be fine.

The computer situation is just really dumb. Jason and I are going to look in town for a new computer, or just order a Dell. But maybe within a week or so we will have a new one.

My friend, Jaymie, has become an Uppercase Living Demonstrator. And I am going to host a Uppercase Living Party at my house on September 9th. I am sending out post cards about it; I think it is really cool. Has anyone heard of this?

And I nearly forgot, Kylee's room is painted. It is PINK!! Really PINK!! I think it is growing on me, but I didn't want a pastel pink, and it is definetly not!! We have the bed, changing table, and part of the dresser set up. I will try to take some pictures and some how get them on here for y'all!!!

Computer has Crashed....

For the past couple of weeks, Jason and I have had these weird advertisements pop up on our computer at home, and some of them a little naughty. Anyways, on Monday I was searching the internet and our electricity flickered on and off from the storm, and now it won't load anything on it. When we restart it, it is just a black screen.

So, what to do now? I am not able to do anything with the computer at my house, so I think on Friday I am going to take it somewhere and at least try to get my files off of it. Do y'all think computer places can do that, or will??? But Jason told me not to put any money into getting it fixed, since it is 6 years old. So maybe we will get a new one, who knows?

Sew, Sew, Sew your blanket.....

Okay, I know that is a little corny, but I have pictures of some things my mom and I have been sewing on besides the bedding. (And I couldn't get my camera to cooperate.)

Mom secretly, behind my back, made this really cute blanket and had it monogrammed. It is so soft, and I love it.

Also, I sewed these 2 receiving blankets. They were really easy to sew. One fabric has farm animals on it.

Here is the other one.

And, I made some burp cloths that I am going to take and get a "K" monogrammed on them.

Early Birthday Gifts

Tonight I got an early birthday present from Jason's parents because they will be headed to Chicago on the day of my birthday. We had a delicious supper. Jason and Josh (his brother) cooked ribs all afternoon. They each did their own recipe, and they both turned out really good. We had mashed potatoes, salad, and bread. It was GREAT!! Then his parents gave me my early birthday gift, which was a Willow Tree Angel and Richard Scarry's "Best Word Book Ever" for Kylee.

I didn't know they made such a tall Willow Tree. It is the Hearth and Home one. And Rhonda read this book to Jason and Josh for hours when they were growing up. It is really a neat book!!

Kylee's Room Update

Well, I am getting really nervous because Kylee's room is no where near complete, and we only have 7 1/2 weeks left. YIKES!! I am going tomorrow to buy the paint. It is going to be one color.... PINK. I never thought I would have a pink room, but we are. The room is already taped, so it just needs to be painted. The dresser and changing table are in, Jason just needs to put them together. The baby bedding is coming along nicely. Here are pictures of the bumper pad.

I think it turned out really cute. Of course, it will all look better with the sheet and bed skirt with it.
What is left for mom to sew?
-Finish Toy Bag
-Stool cover
-At least 2 pillows
-a pink sheet
-cover the cornis board (That is going over the window with sheers underneath.)

We'll to update y'all on everything. (By the way, I did try to get on here this week sometime and update, but the blogger was being stupid and didn't recognize my password.)

A week ago my friend from high school, Marlayna, put together a shower for me at Logan's Roadhouse. And alot of my young friends came. It was really fun to see everyone, and I got to open a lot of cute gifts for Kylee. Here is a picture from the shower. (Marlayna and Susan have both already posted about this.)

This week, everyone in my family has gotten a small taste of the stomach bug. So I really didn't want to hang around any of them, so I mostly stayed home this week. Yes, that is unusual. I usually go to mom's everyday to help with sewing stuff. BUT so far I have not gotten sick, so hopefully the bug has left us. While at home this week, I started on a scrapbook for Brianne to have, and I taped the babies room to be painted. WOW, I really thought I did a lot more than that. I guess not. Oh wait, I made baby shower invitations for one of my coaching friends at Christoval, and that took a lot of my time up. That makes me feel better, like I actually did accomplish something this week.
This last Friday, I had a baby shower at our church. It was really nice, and a lot of people came. It is always scary when you are having something, and you don't think anyone is going to come, but there was a lot of people there. We were overwhelmed with gifts, and love from everyone. Through the showers we have had, we practically got everything we need, just a few more things.
And of course we need baby Kylee to get here. We are very excited, and talk about her everyday in random conversations like she is already here. And sometimes I will catch Jason saying, "I love you Kylee. You're so pretty." SO SWEET!!! I am 32 weeks; I go to the dr this coming Friday, and now we start going every 2 weeks. Yeah, we are on the down hill slope. I think.
I will try to be better at posting this week, although I will not post tomorrow because mom, Brianne, and I are going to do some shopping!!
