Suckers & Target

We made a quick trip to the bank and Target the other day, and I looked down and Maggie had buckled her "lovie" in with her! Ha! She got it from the cousins for her birthday! Silly girl!

Maggie's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated last weekend for Maggie's 3rd Birthday! I really loved the theme, and it was so sweet to have her little friends here to help her celebrate!

The invitations.

Some decorations. I had ordered one ballon from the UK (you can't find any products hardly in the US) that had all the characters on it, but it never made it.

I feel in love with these little books. There are so many, and they are so cute!! Thank goodness for Amazon having some of them in stock!

The Favors!

The girls got to take home a "Little Miss" Book!

The boys got to pick through the "Mr." books! Along with a sucker, bouncy ball, kazoo, stickers, juicy fruit, frisbees, and of course some yellow sunglasses! Kylee and I drew some of the characters on the white favor bags. She really loved doing it!

Sweet, sunshine girl! Can't believe she is 3!!

1st One with Stitches

Poor Jaxon! I was fixing us some sandwiches today for lunch, and I could see him out the back porch. He feel out of the little red car that Maggie got for her birthday. He came running in crying. I didn't even notice him bleeding right away. Jason came home and looked at and said he probably needed stitches.

Sweet boy. I was sending up prayers that he would just be able to handle the pain of them sticking him with the needle, and he wouldn't be scared.

He did SO GOOD! He cried when they numbed it, but other than that he laid there perfect! He got 4 stitches that will come out on Wednesday!

Happy as a duck with his new Batman legos!!

Organization - Part 1

After scanning pinterest for some cute, practical, and inexpensive pantry organization ideas. I decided mine needed some help. We've been here a year now, and yes, a lot of the closets need to be re-organized!

Baskets can be expensive, so I started at Dollar Tree. They didn't have anything. Then I searched Amazon and Target and Walmart.

I ordered 2 of the under shelf baskets from Amazon, that I really like. I found little wire baskets in the Dollar isle at Target for $1.50 and $3! So, I bought 5 of those, different styles.

I also boughs some 2-tiered wire racks from Walmart for $6 to make more room with my cans. I spray painted all of the baskets a bronze color because they were all mismatched colors.

Lastly, Jason made me a cork board with some hooks!

Happy how it turned out! It got me in the mood to also organize some other areas of the house! More to come!

Kylee's Quick Trip

Kylee and I made a quick trip with my parents to the Regional Basketball Tournament to root on the Hawks!

Trips are easy with one kid, and with a 6 year old, unless they get super silly!! :)

She made me a nuloom bracelet before we got to Sterling City. I like it, and think it's fascinating how fast she can make them!

We hit up some shopping places, and of course ate some yummy food! We spent the night, and the next day went to a "big" church next to the hotel. It was good! Kylee sort of freaked out in the car because she didn't want to go in, and turns out she was thinking we were going to split up like we do at our church, and she didn't want to go by herself! After I assured her, she was fine, and we both enjoyed some hot chocolate from their fancy machine before church started! ;)

Then we did a little more shopping and headed home. On the way home, she made two yellow bracelets to give to Maggie for her birthday. Such a sweetie!

Crazy 8 Fight

Ya'll this girl is so funny!! Can you believe she'll be 3 on Sunday???

Maggie loves to "play" Crazy 8's with Jason. I use that lightly because they really just do what she wants to do.

They start the game with rock, paper, scissors to see who goes first. She will ask him for a certain color, then he'll do the same, then she will draw as many cards as she wants, and just start stacking them all in the same color. Occasionally, he will ask her for a certain number to through her off.

So the other night, Jason said "I WIN!", and she said, "No, I win; I had 12 and you had 3!" Cracks me up! She doesn't have a clue what she is saying! Ha!

Then, she got mad, and threw the cards at Jason and said, "Crazy 8 Fight!"

Ha!! She's a funny girl!

Trees!

I've got a lot to post and catch up on! We now have trees at our house! It looks so good, and totally changes the view!

This has been a very thoughtful and drawn out process. There's just so many decisions to consider, and then actually going to do it.

On Valentines' weekend, Jason and I went and bought 5 trees! They are all different types of oak. I was so excited, but after that we went to eat, and Jason could hardly focus on anything but the trees. :) Such a guy!

About a week later, they delivered them!

My favorite tree we bought (its the biggest) with my favorite boy!

We would like to get some pecan and possibly a few more smaller oaks!! We'll see!!

We are looking forward to many great years with the kids playing under these trees!!
