Friday Facts

Yes, it's true. I have picked myself up off the floor from crying; my eyes are teary eyed; I've got a case of the sniffles; all because my niece is starting Kindergarten. In fact, we've all had the "case of the sniffles". I seriously am taking this harder than her own mother!! :) LOL. Seriously!!

They had Kindergarten Round-up a couple days ago. Brianne went and signed her up. The meeting was short and quick. Just like this summer will be. Before you know it, it'll be that time. The other day I was digging through Kylee's closest, and for some reason, it crossed my mind that Addisyn would be starting Kindergarten. And immediately I thought of the bright little soul she is, and I thought of that song "Go Light Your World".

Whatever God has in store for her, in this small little world where we live, I pray she will let her light shine for her classmates and teachers.

She has been taught; she is prepared; she is ready. We are called to let our light shine in the darkness; there is no need for light among the light, but there is a NEED for light in the dark. So as the song says,

"Hold out your candle for all to see it

Take your candle, go light your world"

Jason and I have this game going on this week. He gets mad at me for not refilling the water bottles after they are empty. We'll we just decided to see who can keep there water bottle the longest without it getting thrown away.

I'll probably lose. Just sayin.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Picked up this puzzle from Michael's the other day for $0.49!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I went to town last night, all by myself. :)

This is what I did; and a few other thing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I have 2 baby showers and 2 birthday parties to attend this weekend!! Should be busy, but lots of fun!!

One of the birthday parties is for a man turning 40 at our church. His wife asked if I could help do a couple things. Shhhh....it's a surprise.

So, Sunday afternoon, I had a few hours to do some invitations, so she could hand them out Sunday night.

I decided I wanted to try to do a candy bouquet for a centerpiece. I have never done one of these before, but here it is.

I was going to use a clear vase and put M&M's down in it so you could see the candy, but I didn't have a vase with a big enough mouth on it, so I spray painted this pot yellow, and put some styrofoam down in it to hold the heavy pieces of candy. Since, he is a principal, each candy has something to do with "school rules". :)

Also, dipped some pretzels (sorry for the glare).

Speaking of parties, I picked these up from Patti's Party on sale the other day to use at Jaxon's party.

Can you guess what kind of party he is having??

Have a great weekend!!

Crazy Ways & Crazy Hair

Our little Apple Jax turns 8 months old today!!

And this is still his MOST favortie place to be. :)

I am still learning alot about this little baby boy of ours.

For instance, he is so INconsistent.

I try pretty hard to be regular. Like, he nurses around the same time EVERYday, he takes a morning nap, and an afternoon nap. He eats baby food at lunch and in the evening, EVERYday.

But, he might nap for 10 minutes and wake up, he might nap for an hour and wake up. He might not nap at all. He might cry when he eats or he might love it. He might like you to rock him a certain way one time, but not the next time.

So, I'm still learning. :)

Kylee and him had crawling races the other day. He is getting really fast at crawling.

He loves being outside, and yes, his hair NORMALLY sticks up this high. CRAZY, huh??

Jason loves it; although, he woke up one morning last week, and I thought to myself "WHO CUT JAXON"S HAIR?" It is starting to change, meaning the long baby hair on top is falling out and his new hair is coming in.

He is pulling up on everything, and will try to let go now too, but won't try to walk behind anything.

He loves for his sister to sit on his back. Seriously.

He has no teeth; is in size 2 diapers; likes the bath; doesn't sleep in the carseat; loves apple juice.

Loves his sister.

Jason says at least once a week, "Basically they are 2 year apart twins" because they look so much alike!!

Has several bruises on his forehead from being a little to brave.

Can go from crawling to sitting to standing to sitting.

Wakes up once a night, usually.

Has done well with our little experiment we tried with him.

A week ago we fed him prunes, with we had before, but he went to the bathroom like 4 times in a day period.

And was SO HAPPY last Wednesday evening. Jason was like maybe he feels good after he went to the bathroom that much. I mean so happy he was like venturing off and playing on his own.

So, we thought it was worth a try to feed him a little prunes everyday to help him.

And after a week, I have to say I think it has helped him.

We love this little guy to pieces even with his crazy ways & crazy hair!!

In a Week's Time

These pictures just crack me up, and scream....redneck.

Yes, the playground is finished.

No, the guys didn't have a plan of how to move it once they were finished building it.

Game Plan #1: we'll just use this "homemade" lift/pitchfork thing.

Got the chains on and hooked, and leaving Jason's parents were they built it.

Yes, that is my husband on TOP of the pitchfork thing.

Only in Wall, America.

Got it to the house.

Now What? Game Plan #2.

Okay, it's not going to make it over the fence.

Game Plan #3: Take the fence down.

I figured they didn't want my input, so I planted some pretty flowers.

Up, over, and down!

This picture is an accomplishment in itselft. Jaxon actually doesn't have crusty boogers in his nose.

There it is, without the slide & swings.

Jason decided to add a bar and 2 chairs since the space behind that rock wall was going to be "useless" space anyways. I think they did a great job.

Kylee had her first meal out there at the bar. She is so excited!!

Come visit us, where life is always a redneck adventure!!

Playground

I am so, so excited!! Jason is building a playground for the kids at our house.

He came in Monday morning, and said he was going to build a toy box.

Side Note: It's not raining, so farmers aren't busy. Which really isn't a good thing.

Well, somehow, he got rid of that idea, and thought he would build a playground.

Monday night we printed out some pictures off the internet of one's we liked.

Tuesday morning we pulled out the clothes line in the back yard, that no one uses, and Jason's dad put in when they first got married. And when I mean we, I took the pictures, because that's important, you know. :)

Wednesday morning he ended up going to Lowes twice to get the wood and screws. By Wednesday afternoon at 4:30, they already had all this done.

The playground is laying on its side in this picture. But that is the floor done and the 2nd story floor done.

Also, I love this picture; you can see Kylee smiling. She is beyond excited, and immediately said she wanted a RED slide. Luckily for us, the website we found to order and ship for the cheapest has a red slide. :)

This is the hope of what it will look like.

He acted like they would be done with the building of the main fort TODAY. What??? :)

I think it's going to be bigger than our house!!

Hodge-Podge

That's a bunch of Hog-Wash.

Oh, I mean this is going to be a bunco of Hodge-Podge.

We told Aunt Hay-Hay goodbye on Friday night; she will be home again in May. Jaxon was really, really cranky Friday night, while we were playing our "last" games of croquet before Haley left, but you know, with Jaxon I didn't think anything unusual of it.

Well, he had bad fever all weekend, getting up to 103.8 on Saturday night; called the medical exchange; they said he needed to be seen; since he was alseep, we decided to take him to the clinic on Sunday morning, instead of going in to the ER which is an $800 bill (don't ask how we know). So, went to the clinic, decided it must have been something "viral", so no antibotics for us, just a cranky baby!! :)

Jaxon has been alive for 232 days. One day last week he actually woke up from his nap "NOT crying". I got a picture of it. Yeah, for reaching milestones (in the most sarcastic voice!!).

He also sported his Texas A&M shirt he got from a couple from our church. Jason and I aren't really big fans of any "big" college, well because he didn't go to college, and I went to "Ram 'em rams, Ram 'em rams, gggggoooooooo Rams." (And no i wasn't a cheerleader).

But, if I had to choose, a "big" college to support, it would have to be Texas Tech. There I said it.

Speaking of Texas Tech, when we play croquet at Jasons' parents house, I play with the Red mallet and a black ball, so I can't help myself from constantly saying "Get your Guns Up." It annoys everyone real bad. :)

Kylee hasn't been up to much lately, just getting her 'grove' on. Or her tan for the year. It's only March, and she has gotten dark already.

Speaking of croquet, Kylee can name everyone's color of ball they play with. That's pretty awesome; just by observation, she has figured it out.

What color of ball is Uncle Josh? Blue

And so on.

She turned 2 1/2 this past week. I missed it; remembered last night. Oh well, I told her last night she was 2 1/2, and she immediately replied, and "I want cupcakes at my party." Ummm, well you're not getting a party at 2 1/2. :)

Alrighty then, Jason has decided to build a playground/playhouse for the kids. Kylee is so excited already. All we have done is pull-up the clothes line in the backyard. Her and Jason just got back from Lowes; we'll see what they found!!

Mini Mozart's

There could be a 100 different titles for this post, like, The Twins, Who's giving who piano lessons?, Opposites, Do we look alike?, Cutest Kids in the World, Who do we look like?, and Mini Mozarts.
Do you think they look alike??
The other day, Lexi and Jaxon entertained the house with the sounds of their amazing piano skills. Ahem...... I mean they were fighting over the piano because that is what approximately 8 month old babies do with each other.
This is exactly the order I took the pictures in, and notice where Lexi is the WHOLE time!!
Playing together.

Jaxon starting to think about leaving this toy.

Lexi remains. See I can even tilt my head like this.

You like my pretty blue eyes.

Oh brother, he's back and in charge. Uh, not for long.

And he's gone again. Oh, you think you should play on that side of the piano. That's nice. By the way, maybe you should comb your hair.

And, now, he's for sure done with this toy.

Finally, I have it all to myself, and I like it that way.

What do you think?
Who do the Opposite acting TWINS, Mini Mozarts, and cousins look like??
