My Miss Maggie

Happy 10 Months!!!

The biggest news is we finally got a TOOTH, on Saturday, just shy of 10 Months.

And, the next biggest news is she is walking!! She still prefers to hang on to the wall or the couch, but she lets go and takes 3 or 4 steps every time she wants to get a toy or come to you!! We are excited!! Can you believe she is our latest bloomer on teeth and walking???

She is staying blonde, and I love it!! I think she looks a lot like me in this picture, below.  Dad, still says, she's a little Shyanne.

But, Jason is not convinced, of course. He thinks she looks exactly like Kylee, except for the hair, except for the eyes, and except for the skin tone!! :)

Wearing size 2 diapers and size 2 shoes
cut out the night feeding a few weeks ago; transitioned really well
sleeping through the night (fingers crossed) :)
eats mostly table food and is pretty much tired of baby food already
wants what we are eating
nurses 4 times a day
likes a juice bottle
demanding and stubborn. I think she fits right in.
takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap. but still seems to get sleepy about 6:30.... so we mostly just fight it out, and then goes to bed around 8:30.

Loves riding around with Kylee on the scooter!! (If I just glance at this picture, it reminds me of 2 sisters growing up together!!)

Oh, my little miss Maggie, how my heart loves you so much!!

From the Ground Up

Okay, I must confess to you. I admit, I started another blog, and never told you. Some of you are thinking are you crazy, 2 blogs, but yes, I did.

And then if you think about it, it's really not near as big of a deal as I am making it!

I started a house blog to document our house building process. Yes, we are entering the exciting, frustrating, and scary phase of our once in a lifetime dream of building a house.

It's called, From the Ground Up.

There is a link from my blog on the right side. That is where I will blog and ask you questions (so please give me your input) along the way.  I am not updating as much right now because we are just getting started, and I have really no pictures of anything, yet. But, go there, if you are interested, and if you are not interested, you won't hear about it on this blog!! Fair!! :)

a O-K

Jason's parents got me a Keurig for Christmas, and I am loving it!! I'm not a big coffee drinker, although I have tried a few, and I like them.

I cleared off this little table, and it has become my corner that all the children have done very well of NOT Touching!!

The convenience of having it for my TEA is so worth it!! I'm glad I got one!! I can easily make ONE glass of tea throughout the day as I go because making a whole gallon is usually a waste.

My favorite tea to make is the Tazo Black Tea; it brews it really fast, maybe about 2 minutes total to heat the water up, and then to brew it, and then just pour it over ice. YUMMY!! I also got some Sweet Southern Tea for Christmas that is really good; I just don't need the sweet all the time!! :)

Yay, for awesome Christmas presents!!

Bluest Eyes in Texas

"The Bluest Eyes in Texas, Are Haunting me Tonight!!" Reckless Heart

My poor baby, has had the bluest eyes I have ever seen on somebody. It started last Wednesday night at Christmas with the Holik's and he fell against the fire place.  He got an initial big bump on the front of his head. You can kind of see it, on HIS left side.

It had started going down, but on Sunday, he and Lexi fell against each other, and he hit in exactly the same spot; it immediately made the BIGGEST bump sticking out over an inch from his head mostly filled with fluid.  He cried really bad, but then he got up and kept playing and acting normal.

He went to bed fine; we checked on him, but the next morning the fluid had shifted to the middle of his forehead, and his eyes were turning blue.

My mom and Jason's mom were concerned, so I took him to the walk-in clinic (he had a rash too, I wanted to get checked out), and they said everything is fine since he never lost consciousness.

Praise the Lord, because I was being haunted in the night about it, just worrying.  But, he seems fine. He will not let you touch the knot that is still there; it must be really sore.

We are just living with black and blue eyes.  They keep getting bluer each day that goes by!!

The Rest of Christmas

Lordy, Lordy, how can I still have Christmas pictures to post??  Because we have such a big and wonderful family!!

We spent Wednesday evening with the Holik's!!

Maggie was OVERly excited to be there!!

Lots of babies born in 2012, and looking forward to one more being added in 2013!! Good times!!

Our last Christmas was on Sunday with my mom's side!! We always have a great time, and this year did not disappoint!! My cousin started out by making a BIG announcement; he's getting married!! Yeah!!

All the kids had one gift to open, and Jaxon loves his truck he got from Andrew and Chelsea!!! All the kids love Chelsea!! Sometimes I just think poor Chelsea!! We love you!!

Christmas at the Parents

After we opened presents at home, we headed to Jason's parents.

The kids got a John Deere Gator from the best uncle in the world, Uncle Josh!! :) He had joked all along the big package was a horse. They LOVE it!! In the freezing cold, we have been driving it around everywhere. It fits in pretty good out here.

Maggie can't really enjoy the gator right now, but she loves the rocker!!

Jason was really excited about his new hat!!

Then, we headed to mom and dad's for presents, and a big lunch.

Christmas Morn

We had a wonderful Christmas Morning together, opening our presents.

Kylee woke up about 7:30, and we woke Jaxon up then, and let Maggie stay asleep, but about 5 minutes she woke up from hearing all the noise.

Kylee got this Fischer Price race track from us, and it was a hit.  Kylee loved it too, and they still play with it the most.

Maggie was a little confused about all the noise.  She got a pink wagon, a back pack, and a sippy cup with her name on it!!

Kylee was super excited to open her "big" present. She got a Wall Hawk Megaphone, and BOOTS!! She was really excited about the pink boots, and has been wearing them everywhere.

Jaxon got the race garage, and some lego boards, and a tractor.
