New, Sleeping Arrangements

We got a new comforter for our bed.  And when I mean, "we", I mean Jason had nothing to do with it.  But, he likes it.  We had a solid, khaki comforter, and it was always dirty between Jason's dirty feet and hands, the kids, and Maggie spitting up on it (accidentally, my fault).  I had taken it to the dry cleaning before, but it is quite expensive just to clean it.  I didn't want to do that again, so I searched and found this one on amazon; I liked it knowing I wouldn't have to change out the curtains and shower curtain.  I really like the colors.

And, that is Maggie's bed in the picture too.  She has been sleeping great, waking up once a night to eat anywhere from 3:30 -4:30, and then not again until 7:30 or 8.

And I couldn't help but throw this picture in.  How handsome is he with his new haircut he got before Easter?? And he's clean!! Not dirt or mess!!

DIRT: Jaxon's Best Friend

Jaxon looks like a mini-Jason, or identical twin of Jason born, 25 years apart, is what someone at church told me this last Sunday.

I agree; they look alike.

But Jaxon's personality is a lot like mine.  Loud, always talking, a little on the wild side, and getting-into-trouble side, but always smiling!!

He loves, the dirt.  Maybe because he's a boy.  Or maybe because he's got the Holik Farmer blood in him.  And probably because he is Jason made over.

When playing outside with Kylee, he can ALWAYS find his way to the dirt.

He eats it, dumps it out, carries it in buckets, and digs in it!!

And at bath time, it's in his hair, fingernails, diaper, and on his face to prove it!!

And, he's got as far as the eye can see of dirt to play in.

Well, not literally, but you get my point.  :)

Easter Eggs Part 2

Sunday afternoon, after our naps, we headed to my Grandmother's lake house on, Lake Nasworthy. It is always so fun to get together out their with my dad's side of the family.

And of course, we had to hunt some eggs.

My cousin, Tyler, helping his little boy Sutton.  They recently joined our church!! Yeah!!

GG helping Jaxon.

All the great-grandkids, minus 2.  Maggie and Paige.  Maybe next week. I think we will all be together again for my aunt's birthday.

The kids had a great time.  They chased ducks, played with sticks, got to swing, and even got to |SWIM for a few minutes.  Good Times!!

Easter 2012 Part 1

THE BUNNY came.  That's what Kylee called it.

Family Photo Attempts

Yes, we let Kylee hold Maggie.  Yes, I was a little worried for Maggie's life.  Yes, she did survive.

All 6 cousins. And, that's as good as it gets.

Hunting eggs.  Kylee, and her friend, Emma, were pretty much the oldest in their group, along with Jaxon, Lexi, and a bunch of other little egg hunters.  I think Kylee and Emma took home a lot!!

Jaxon was thrilled to pieces about the few eggs he got.

Karter got bumped up to the older group with Addisyn, and still got a lot of eggs too!!

This little stinker, Lexi, knew what to do.  She took off running, and gathered herself alot.  I think it was because she "knew" there was "snacks" in each egg!!

Kylee won a prize egg, and got this HUGE duck.  Anybody want to take it home with them?? :)

We enjoyed lunch at Jason's parents, watched golf, and took naps.  It was a great, lazy day!!

I've Got To Give Credit where Credit is Due

I thank the bank for the money

Thank God for you
-Sawyer Brown

Don't you love Maggie's newborn pictures? I'm hoping to have birth announcements done soon too!!  But, I really do need to give credit to my friend, Wendy.

Wendy is so talented in not only pictures, but she makes these fabulous, great quality cards.  Brianne and I have both used her cards for our Christmas list because they really are the best around for the price.  Another thing you should know about her is she doesn't sleep.  Really.  I don't think she ever sleeps.  She is always working on a crafty project, and she gives me her great recipe for homemade granola, that she "oh, just whipped up one night for our MOPS meeting", and she is an amazing mom to her 4 BOYS!!! In fact, she is the one that started the headbands, in which, we had about 3 late night headband making parties!! So fun!!

Anyways, she took the beautiful pictures of Maggie!! So thankful for her friendship and generosity!!

Psalm 139:13-16

For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.
