$300 Sock??

YEP, that's right this little, baby sock cost us $300!!

Last Monday, our washing maching just quit working right in the middle of a load. The washer was full of water all the way to the top.
Jason worked with it, and managed to get it to drain, but was making a horrible noise.
He pulled the washer out, and checked it, and thought it was the motor.
We decieded it was probably just as cheap to buy a whole new washer, then to take it and get it fixed!!
After buying the new washer, Jason's dad was taking apart the old one, and noticed this little sock stuck somewhere it wasn't supposed to be.
SO, yeah, nothing was wrong with the washer except this little baby sock!!
AAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Go, Fight, Win

On Friday, we went to Wall's Homecoming, and it was Jaxon's first football game!! We had a good time, but it was so stinkin' hot!!
Jaxon was born on a Saturday, and that next day at church an older man who has been at the church for years, who actually has been a Central Bobcat season ticket holder since 1956!!!
Anyways, he LOVES football, and listens to the Wall games on the radio. He told mom that he that he can just hear the announcers in 15 years saying
"Jaxon Holik breaks a tackle, and he's going, he's going, he's gone. TOUCHDOWN!!"
It was so sweet, and brought tears to my eyes!!
God willing one day that would be pure joy to see that happen!!

Can we be nOrmAL........NO!!!

Finally, got a sucker!!!

Meeting Famous People

Well, I really didn't know who these 2 football players were until I heard them speak.
And they are not only former NFL Football players, but more than that they use there past to speak to young people about how GOD can give you a second chance.
Both are straight forward, right on, Jesus Christ believing men!!
So fun to hear them speak and watch them do their stuff!!
The BIG guy is Devin Wyman, played for the New England Patriots Super Bowl team!!
Holding Jaxon!!!

Here they are speaking. The smaller guy (who's arm muscles were HUGE) is Keith Davis. He did play in the NFL, but his success was in college at USC!!

They did some cool tricks to entertain the crowd. Here is Wyman picking up to girls and spinning them around.
Also, you see that "STEEL ROD" he is picking them up with. He also put the middle part of the rod in his mouth, and bent the rod into a "U" shape!! It was awesome!!

Here is Keith Davis in the process of bending a frying pan!!

He has it wedged into between his stomach and leg.

24 jr.high and hs boys trying to break Devin Wyman's grip....... Did they do it????

Pulling.....NOPE!! They couldn't do it!! He is so strong!!

And here is Keith Davis with his "rolled up frying pan"!! He bent it all the way into a BURRITO!!
Towards the end, they gave their testimonies, and Keith used the example of the frying pan, about how GOD can change the way you are, if you only let Him.
Here is what he wrote on the back of his signed football card about his testimony:
"In my family and neighborhood there was a lot of gang and drug activity. My dad sold drugs and committed suicide when I was only 4. As a teenager in the rough inner city of Los Angeles, I found out that if I would draw close to God, God would draw close to me. I made a decision and opened my heart to Jesus. I decided to belong 100% and not just believe. God became my "heavenly dad." To me it became more important to please Him than to please my friends. My relationship with Christ is what changed me. It is awesome!"

Devin Wyman spoke about his testimony as well. His was so powerful and moving. It truly is a GOD thing to see how his life has changed. He talks about playing in the Super Bowl and returning home to his friends, and having the nice sports car, nice jewelry, flying all across the country, but was EMPTY on the inside. One night with his "dream BREAKER" friends, they walked out onto a street, and he heard gun shots. That night he held his dead cousin in his arms. In the middle of the street, he asked God to change the man he was. As big as a man he was, he needed more.

Luke 8:36
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

Here is Devin Wyman's testimony on the back of his card:
"I grew up in the #1 murder capital with my mom raising four boys by herself. The first time I met my father was to bury him. My mom was a praying mom. I knew of God and I would pray all the time but something was missing. I was hard headed and lost scholarships, then I got a second chance and went to the Superbowl. Yet I was still empty. A great man encouraged me and I invited Jesus Christ inot my heart. That day I learned I can't change my past but I can change my future. I realized I was missing a relationship with my Lord and Savior. You too can have such a relationship that can change your future. It's free for the asking."

Isn't that how we all are??
Wretched.
Sinful.
In need of something more.
Praise God.
He is here.
We just need to ask.

Nearly 2

and trying HARD to gain independence.......

My child is nearly 2 and thinks she owns the house.

Who told her she was nearly 2 and to start trying my patience??

She loves to yell in stores "I want that."

Over, and Over again.....

She won't let you help her do anything.

She proceeds to say "My do that."

And even through it all

I still love her ever so much!!!

To my nearly 2 year old,
why is it at times I want you to be BIGGER,
maybe so you could dress yourself, comb your hair, feed yourself, or go on the potty,
but seeing you grow up and get BIGGER right before my eyes,
makes me want to hold on to you at this age and pray to God to be able to remember you at this age and never forget,
but no matter what you will always be
my baby girl.

One Month

My baby is one month old. What is he up to?
- losing his hair in front
- eats every 3 hours during the day
- had one month pictures taken
- usually awake after he eats for abour an hour
- nearly outgrown NB diapers
- seems to get mad easily like his daddy
- laid on his tummy a couple of times; seems to like it
- will go one 5 hour stretch in the night
- wearing 0-3 month onesie
- doesn't seem to mind Kylee kissing him ALL THE TIME :)
- wakes up around 7 every morning no matter how long ago he ate; thinking this could be the sun??
- starting to focus on toys or people's faces
- doesn't have a clue how much we love him

On Sunday, we had a baby dedication at church. Jaxon and his first cousin, Lexi, were both dedicated. The whole service was about the dedication, and we even had to sit at the front the whole time. Not so much fun, but the babies did great!! :)

Our interim pastor who we love so much, Bob, came and helped with the service. Also, each of the dad's read scripture.
Daddy reading scriptures to the mothers
Bro. Bob reading scripture to the fathers

There was a charge to the fathers, a charge to the mothers, and a charge to the church. The message was great, and convicting at the same time.
Sitting at the front getting my inner thigh workout in because I am wearing a DUMB SKIRT!!

Family Picture (notice our soon to be 2 year old whining)

Poor Jaxon
Brianne's Family

Lexi in her pretty outfit..... I bought this premie outfit for Kylee to come home from the hospital in, and it was HUGE on her. I'm so glad Lexi got to wear it!!

Check it Out!!

We had pictures taken this morning, and Kylee hardly would smile, but the lady did a great job with how little of cooperation she had back from Kylee.

Click here to check out a sneak peek of their pictures!!

What do you do when your baby won't nurse on the "2nd" side???

DUH!!!

You have a photo op!!!

3 1/2 weeks old

Seriously!! He can get all the way over to his side from his back, just like this.....

I just love this picture....

One arm is straight, and the other bent behind his head. It is called the Tonic Neck Reflex in newborns. Interesting!!

I fed him, and he wouldn't eat on the other side. I tried everything, so I thought well I lay he down on a flat surface, and he'll for sure get mad and want to eat then.
NOPE!!
Happy as can be!!
We really are getting our pictures taken this weekend; well, not me, but the kiddos!! Should be fun, or interesting, or stressful, or hopefully we get some of them that look good!!
