These Days!

January and February are my least favorite months of the year. After the holidays and then temperatures being colder, the months seem to drag on.

Thank goodness for fun things that occupy the kids these days!!

Kylee made a cheerleader at Potato Night at Awanas!

And she ate a donut on a string!

Hadlee has been sitting in the big stroller a few times in town! She can do a pretty serious frown at times! Those eyebrows!

She took a nap in her bed. And the biggest news, she has moved to her bed the past 4 nights!! Sad and happy feelings. She did not so good the first 2 nights, and then she has done great the last 2 nights! No she doesn't sleep with all that in her bed, or that blanket! :)

Family coloring contest!

We ate lunch at Rosa's for Mamaw's birthday.

Hadlee loves wearing her monogrammed onesie!!

We watched the cousins play basketball! And now were on to baseball! And Karter's team got 2nd place this weekend, and he got a championship ring! He's a base stealing dude!

Kylee has started machine pitch baseball too! She's the only girl on her team, and the first day of practice, she showed up with a black eye that she got from messing around with her Daddy! :) She is loving it! And has improved so much already in 3 practices!

Jaxon started tee ball practice on the same days. He did not enjoy it the first day. He cried hysterically. Poor guy. It was a bad parenting moment, when I realized he's never done anything before, and when need me to help him a little bit out there. :/ (minus nursery, bible study, and mops)

Jason made him write me a sorry note. :) The second week, he walked out there by himself!

Awana Sunday

A few weeks ago in January, we had AWANA Sunday at our church. The kids got to wear their vests to church, and say some verses, and do a few songs!

Maggie and Jaxon with their Cubbies class.

That afternoon, the weather was gorgeous!! We really enjoyed the day outside!

Valentines Day 2016

Valentines are fun! Especially when you're a kid, and you get to trade with your friends and classmates! Kylee got a gum ball machine for Christmas, and decided she wanted to make a machine for Valentines Day. I searched on pinterest, and we made a few stops to some stores, and got all the supplies! I ordered some giant gum balls from Amazon, and printed out the cards that said, "I CHEWS YOU, Valentine!" I love the cheesyness of Valentine Cards. You know where the punch line is coming, and you kind of know it! :)

She's all ready for her party day at school!

There were so many cute boxes!! The camper. Oh my! So cute!

Kylee with her class and the cool glasses!

I love the girl in the front throwing the peace sign! So cool!

Kylee made the top 10 in AR readers!

And of course, this guy arranged for us to go out to eat one night. Left the baby and all! It was good! You know to reconnect and smile and talk. Talking. Somedays we don't get to do much of that to each other. Sigh.

All in all it was good.

Stockshow & Carnival!

Kylee's grade got to take a field trip to the fair grounds last week.

So, we tagged along! The kids enjoyed the petting zoo from a distance. Kylee didn't want to feed them, and the mama goat was about to have her baby, so……

And Maggie managed to spill hot chocolate all over her pants before we even got out of the car!

They got to ride the train around the carnival!

Most of the kids in her class. How did they get so big already?!

On Friday Night, we went out there with Josh, Melissa, & Jude to ride some of the rides, and of course eat all the yummy food!

These two girls love the rides!! Maggie wanted to go on everything even if she was to short! She was so excited to be there!

This guy doesn't care for the rides to much. He would rather play games. But, we discovered that $20 doesn't go to far at the carnival with 3 kids.

We also saw the cousins show at the school show a few weeks ago. They did good, and have improved so much!!

Baby in the Bath

This girls LOVES bath time!! We can't wait til this summer to let her play in a little pool outside!!

Speaking of the bathroom! Jason built me this industrial floating shelves a few weeks!

And I found these two shelves at Hobby Lobby on clearance. I painted them, and Jason routed a board for me to go above our toilet. Finally, hanging some stuff on the walls in our area of the house!

Hadlee - 3 Months

Hadlee Anne. 3 Months Old! For so many months, I dreamed about what you would look like, and now, you've been here three months. It has gone so fast! My heart already is missing the newborn days. I'm so in love with you.

And I've should have known you would have dark hair and brown eyes! *wink*

At 3 Months:

- starting doing tummy time. You really don't get to mad about it.
- you smile! But not near as easy as the other 3 did!
- You are losing your long newborn hair, but there is a lot of new hair coming in!
- You have rubbed a bald spot on the back from your cradle!
- you sleep beside our bed still. Wake up once a night to eat.
- BUT, you have gone from 10pm - 7:30am two nights in a row!!
- you are pretty spoiled with being held.

- you love to lay on your tummy across daddy's lap.
- Daddy calls you "Angel"
- You like the bumbo and the bouncer.
- You found your hands, and love to chew on them.
- You spit up, kind of a lot.
- You went to your first out of town trip to San Antonio. Slept the whole way there, and the whole way back.
- It was then that I decided, you like to eat and sleep a lot!!
- you are not near as hyper active as the other 3, but you still like to move!
- you love the bath water!
- you lay around with cousin Jude, and he grabs you sometimes. I don't think you know he exists though! :)
- you really only get mad if you are hungry, or want somebody to hold you, and we let you cry then! :) *not that much though*

What a sweet three months!

Slo-Mo

Have you ever played around with the slo-mo video on your phone?

I did with the kids the other day. It started with Jaxon wanting me to take his picture jumping over something because he does that all the time. Then, I took a video in slo-mo of him jumping.

Then, we got a chair and everyone took turns jumping off and doing cool things in the air (even me)!

Next thing we know, Jason is trying to jump over Jaxon!!

Here it is in slo-mo! Happy Friday!!
