A Wonderful Wedding

One of the last few Holik boys got married this past Saturday; it was Jason's first cousin. He was a groomsmen, so I went with him to the rehearsal on Friday night. Here's the groomsmen congregated around not standing in their line, and not listening to instructions! :) Out of the 7 groomsmen, 6 were Holik's! But, there are only a few left to get hitched, so the wedding's will be dwindling down soon!

The wedding was beautiful; it's make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when the groom tears up because he see's his bride. So sweet! But, I couldn't be sappy for long because I was sitting in the church with 3 crazy kids that were just ready for the party to start! :)

Maybe that's why I'm hanging on to Jason's arm so tight at the reception! Isn't he handsome?

Brianne and Duane, and Karter trying to sneak in the picture!

Seriously, Kylee, that's not attractive! I don't think she cares though!

Fun, Fun, another in the books, and Jason is in TWO more this summer!!

Girls Day, Fun Day

For a girl, what's better than, going to the mall, target, getting pedicures, and eating Chick-fil-a.

NOTHING!

This girl named Mags.....

Ya'll, this girl is a mess. She is a "go big or go home" girl. She just really is going to have a great time wherever we go. She loves FOOD, she loves to be with Big Sis and Big Bro, she loves her BIG bed, we call her "ya-ya" from the Sandlot because she literally copies everything we say. She usually has a messy face and tangled hair! And hates brushing her teeth!

Here she is chasing bubbles in her cousins' panties outside in our yard.

BUT, she is also so STUBBORN, strong willed, whatever you want to call it. Which I, for one, like ambitious and determined kids. But, right now, it is difficult at times to steer it all in the right direction. So with that being said, the pacifier is gone. And she is MAD. :) At night and during the day, no more. Cold Turkey.

So now, she talks all the time when she is happy! It's like she's had so much to say, and now she can say it!

Love this girl!!

Fredericksburg Anniversary Trip

I know I put on facebook how excited and surprised I was that Jason (on his own) booked a suite for us this past week in Fredericksburg for our 8 year anniversary!! How awesome is that! He's been out of the picture for the past two weeks with planting season, so it was so nice to have my husband back! :)

We hooked it there, and went straight to Mamacita's for lunch. We were starving! We checked into our suite; it was a Bed & Breakfast but it was more like a fancy hotel suite. It was real fancy and new! It was about a block off Main Street so we just walked and spent the afternoon walking up and down both sides!

We stopped for some snacks! Yum!

Later in the afternoon, we headed out to a "real" peach farm that I googled about. It really was a lot of fun to pick our own peaches right off the tree; we ate several too! I don't think I would enjoy picking peaches for a living!

That night we went for a late dinner to the Cabernet Grill. It was so fancy, smancy! We enjoyed it; my food was great, but Jason didn't like his as much. But, we managed to get a cute picture!!

The next day we hit up the trade days; then headed home, and ate some BBQ in Brady. Of course, that was Jason's favorite meal of the trip! :)

It was fun and a complete surprise which made it better!

Kylee's Memory Book

I found a cute memory book idea for Kylee's Kindergarten projects on Pinterest using brown paper sacks.

Kylee did most cutting and glueing and designing! We created a cover page with her school name and a place for her picture.

Each end stays open like this, so the idea is to slide in her crafts and they will keep inside their. So, we did a month-by-month book; the size ended up being 12x12 book. I got the end of the book "bound" at Office Max for $3, and the paper sacks were free from HEB!
