Last Weekend

Addi can show animals now that she is in the 3rd grade. So there was 2 practice shows this past Saturday! She did good with it being her first time EVER. Sweet thing just smiles at everybody!! She learned a lot, and I think Paw-Paw is enjoying it too!!

We also went to the Brethren Festival. It's always fun to catch up with the kin folk, and BIL Josh also bought me a shirt! So that was nice!! :) And the kids came home with some prizes that they won at the games!! 

After Maggie was done playing any of the games, she would just go pick out any prize that she wanted without listening to the people telling her she had to just get a piece of candy. Ha! She has her own way of doing things!

Sweet Kids

It was Red, White, & Blue Night at AWANA's last Wednesday in honor of Veterans Day. Our pastor stands at the front of the line and the kids have to say a verse they know before they can go on. Well, Maggie didn't really know Genesis 1:1, but she was thinking really hard, so Jaxon finished it for her. It was so sweet! 

And yesterday on the way to church, I heard Kylee in the back, saying in very broken words, "Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers......." 

And she kept going through the 1 and 2 books!! She said they have been learning them in Sunday School. I didn't even know it.

These are my greatest joys as a mom.

Weekend Finds

Kaci, Eve, and I ventured to Miles last weekend for some garage sales around town, and down their Main Street! I loved it!! Her were my bargains!! 

Of course, some clothes, and shirt for me for $5 and a Matilda Jane Dress for $5, some black heels for $4 (she wanted $5, but I only had $4) :), a little basket for 50C, a large apple basket for $2, a jump rope for Kylee for 10C, and a set of 2 red chairs (hopefully for my front porch decorating) for $5!! 

Also, I got this wooden frame thing in the back. I paid a little more for it, but I love it!! I have it on my fireplace mantle right now. It's a little cluttered right now because I don't really know what I'm doing with it, but I'm thinking I might paint it white, with a dark wax.....

And, I'm in love with this piece for Maggie's Room. I'm on the look out for a dresser for her room, and she doesn't need a lot of drawers or anything real big because she has such a big closet. I'm secretly hoping it's still there. It's so vintage and sweet!

A Little Updates

The rainy day proved to be a little productive day for us. I've had the curtains and the rod ordered for over a month now, but Jason was to busy to do it. So, I convinced him to do it yesterday!!

A  couple weeks ago I added this banner to Kylee's windows, and I think I like it too. Still working on adding one to Maggie's Room. 

Halloween Night

We went trick-or-treating a few houses around here, and then had some friends over for Chili and Taco Soup! 

I had bought the kids a bunch of glow-in-the-dark things to play with! There was balloons (which were really cool, but popped easy on the grass), bracelets, frisbee, a soccer ball, and necklaces!! Oh yeah, and Glow-in-the-dark Cheetos!!

So blessed to have these sweet friends to do life together!! 

Then we decided to go "Ding Dong Ditchin" at Uncle Josh & Melissa's house!! hehehe!  So we bundled up, loaded up, and drove a little ways down, and then  hid in the cotton field in front of their house..... Karter and Addi both rang the door bell while we hid, and laughed, and snickered! Even little Maggie "understood" what we were doing!! Ha! It was fun!! 

Round Trip

On Friday, we rode with Dad to his place in Bronte, so he could drive the tractor and plow back home. 

It was a quick round trip, but we love helping Paw-Paw!!
