8 Months Old

Kylee was 8 months old on Monday, which is also Jason's birthday, so I thought I would do her an 8 month post after his birthday, and I am just now getting around to it. I know you've all been waiting. :)

What does Kylee do?

-Loves to EAT, and wants to eat whatever you are eating.

-Crawls everywhere, and has started changing speeds, like if she sees a toy, will go real fast

-Fights taking a nap really bad

-Grabs whatever you have in your hand

-Eats whatevers she finds on the floor, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. She could be my little vacuum, but she finds things like paper and rocks and dirt. But still enjoys eating those things as well.

-Loves it outside.

-Loves dogs

-Likes to stand at the back doors and watch the cat roam around outside (First time I am happy we have that cat) :)

-Sleeps really well at night other than STILL waking up once to eat

-has figured out that she doesn't like a bow on her head

-Likes digging in the dirt

-Giggles out loud everyday now about who knows what

-Lets go and stands for several seconds at a time

-Throws a fit whenever she doesn't get what she wants

As a parent, you want your child to excel and be the best at whatever they do, now as a baby, and also as you think about the future when they are in school and such. And you can guess that I am no differently.

I have started thinking about all that Kylee does and how proud we are of her, for doing the smallest things, and I just praise God for making her healthy and capable to do all these things. What a blessing!!

But, I have learned over the years from a very experienced woman that my prayer for Kylee is that she will at least be average in all things, school, athletics, life, and then if she is anything above that then we count it is a BLESSING from God. That she would just fit in with others and have friends to play with and have the capablility to learn. No parent wants their child to be socially not accepted or not be able to read or comprehend things, and you may think I am crazy for saying that I hope she is average, but my prayer is just that.

And what if she's not average? Then we will handle that one day at a time, and work through whatever God hands us.

Don't get me wrong; we want to challenge Kylee and help her along the way be the best that she can be.

I hope I explained that okay; I am not great with words because you see I am just average in writing skills. But all is well here!!

Hope I didn't get to deep on anything. This is just a silly blog RIGHT??

Happy Birthday to My One and Only

Today is Jason's 25th Birthday!! I love him so much!!! It brings me to tears how much I love him. I mean really!!

Okay, enough of that. Jason is great for Kylee and I. She loves her daddy; I mean right now I think she still likes me more just because I give her, her source of nutrition still, but she loves to play with him and laugh at him and listen to him sing to her. Ahhhh......life is good. :)

Oh, sorry on to Jason's birthday again. We are not going to do a lot. I got him 2 books for his birthday, and I made him a really "Sexy" card and an apple pie. But I didn't get a picture of it YET. He is off to plant cotton today, and then this evening I think we are eating ribs at his parents. Yum!!

Happy Birthday Jason!!

It is also Susan's birthday. Happy Birthday Susan!!

What have I been doin'?

Readin' a Book or Scrapbookin'???
Well, for some people this may be a hard decision. But not for me. I have been scrapbooking!!! And I love it. Now my sister Brianne on the other hand has been reading books, and lots of them. This is something we definetly differ on. Growing up, she would read at night, and always loved to read books. Mom would have to make me read books for school. During the summer, she would make me do these short stories, so I got better at my reading. :) Well, I guess it has paid off some because in college I joined the Student Reading Council, and I do like to read books now more than I did. BUT it still does not take precedent over SCRAPBOOKING!!!
So, on to my post!! Here is what I have been doing!!
At hobby lobby, they had this chipboard book to make, and the paper it came with had all these little birds on it. Well, I thought that fits perfectly with what Jason calls her, Kylee Bird. So I wanted to do a memory book so we will remember he called her that just in case the nickname doesn't stick.
You can't see it very well, but the front says "Kylee Bird"
Then I was at the Dollar Store, and I found this photo album with chipboard pages in it!! The album wasn't very cute, but I thought I could use the pages and make Kylee another book for only........$1.00!! So I made her a birthday book to put pictures of her 1st Birthday party in it which doesn't happen until September. (I'm a weirdo. I know.)

And I am not done yet, I am fixing to start working on a 12x12 book for the next year for Kylee. I know you probably think I am a pyscho for doiong all of this so early, but since I have time and the motivation right now I want to get it done because I don't like having unorganized pictures everywhere.

Speaking of unorganization......Here is what happens when I scrapbook!! Enjoy!!

New TRICKS

I could not believe Kylee was old enough to do this. It seems like only 6 or 7 months ago that Karter was the one doing it. At mom and dad's, Karter used to push Addisyn around the island in the kitchen as fast as they could go. Last night, Kylee started out crawling and pushing the bike.

Then she started walking behind the bike, and this is right before she busted.

I can't believe my little baby is old enough to do this.

Paybacks

This is a payback from Aunt Bri because when Addisyn was only 3 Months old I gave her a bite of brownie. What was I thinking???

Anyways, Kylee sure enjoyed the Cookies and Cream Ice Cream from Aunt Bri.

My First Mother's Day

I wanted to post about my mother's day just like everyone else. :) Mother's Day was great!! On Friday afternoon, Jason and I went to town together with Kylee and just walked around the mall and went to Target and Hobby lobby. It was fun and enjoyable. We got his mom the West Central "Senior" phone for Mother's Day.
On Saturday night, we went out to eat with his family at Henry Steakhouse. It is really good!! Then we did the Holik tradition of going to Wal-mart and the mom stays in the car and the dad and the kids go inside to buy something for Mom. So Jason and Kylee trucked into walmart and come out with a dozen roses and a Symphony Bar. Yummy!!! And Jason also had made me a mother's day card secretly with all of my scrapbook stuff. He did a really good job.

Sunday for lunch we went to my aun't house at the lake and had lunch and then got our feet in the water. Well Addi and Karter went swimming and Kylee got her swimming suit on and she sat in the water, but would not keep the rocks out of her mouth.
Thanks Kylee for making my first Mother's Day Great!!
