Vacation - Splashville

The last morning, Jason, Dad, and the kids went swimming at the hotel one last time, while mom and I headed to the nearest Sam Moon to shop really QUICK!!

Then we started home, but stopped in Stephenville at their Splash Pad. My cousin, Chelsea, met us there, and I didn't even get a picture with her.  The kids LOVE her, and are asking about her before we get there, and then talk about her after we leave.  She is great!!

The Splash Pad was great too!! Bigger than our pool in town here.

They had a slide for Kylee and the babies to go down, and then they had 2 bigger slides in the 4 foot end for Addi, Karter, and all the adults to go on.  I went on them and they were so FAST, or maybe I am just getting old!!

Dare I say my Dad is the most fun in the water.  The kids love him!!

Maggie was a super trooper, and sat with Jason and Mom, and then took a nap!!

The kids were SO exhausted by the time we left, the ride home was fairly quiet, except for Maggie!! :)

Vacation - Part 2, Grapevine

We made our way to Grapevine, and of course had to stop at Bass Pro Shop. On our way there, we had to stop at a toll booth, and waited behind cars for about 10 minutes, and Maggie screamed her lungs off the whole time because the car wasn't moving.  But, after we started again, she just kept screaming.  And then, that night we got back in the car, and she just kept screaming.

Jason immediately has to buy candy and cokes at the little cafe in Bass Pro Shops. I think that is why the kids hang around him.

Then we went to Legoland at Grapevine Mall.  It was FUN!!

Jason trying to break the door to get us in. :)

We got in, and meet Mr. Brickbrack, who told us how the "make" the Legos!!

Once we really got inside, they had a ride to ride where you shot the bad guys to capture the Princess, and I heard Kylee cried the whole time, and Jaxon must be a good shot because he had the highest score!! :)

They had TONS to do inside of there, and the kids could have played for a couple of hours I think, it was just SO crowded.  Didn't think it would be.

There were small lego's, and giant size lego's; lots to play with. You could build a lego car on wheels and race it against other people.  Addi and Brianne rode the big ride together, where they pedaled to go higher.

Then we ate at Rain Forest Cafe; the atmosphere is fun, and LOUD, which is good for our group, but the food is not very good. Then, Jason, Dad, and the kids ate cookies while we shopped real quick at Gymboree.

Vacation - Day 1

Last weekend, we headed to Arlington/Grapevine area for vacation.  It is hard to travel to long in the car with 3 very young children.  My parents rode with us, and Brianne and her crew met us down their the next day. The kids made it all the way to Weatherford before we ever stopped on the way down there.  All 3 of them were screaming about the last 15 minutes, but other than that they did AWESOME!!

We stopped and ate at Chili's; I fed Maggie, and then we went to Super Target to walk around a bit, so Maggie could burp up for about 30 minutes.  I jokingly said to Jason "we should get an IPAD for our anniversary gift" which was a week before that.  So, he immediately said, "yeah, if that's what you want."  Uh, YEAH!!!

So, the trip started off great, I got the new IPAD, and a hot pink case for it.  I love it, but I have to say I think Jason likes it more than me. :)

We checked into the hotel, and immediately went down to swim.

We got out, got ready, went to eat at Pappadeaux where Jason had the best Shrimp Etouffee ever, then we came back to the hotel, and got back in the pool.  This time Paw-Paw got in, and chased Kylee and Jaxon around. They loved it.

The next morning we went to the Fort Worth Children's Museum.  It was good; I think the San Antonio Children's Museum is better.  And I hear the Austin one is real good, so we will have to try and go there sometime.

Maggie was so good; she hung in the big girl stroller.

I have to say I think this was Jaxon's favorite part of the trip.  They had an ambulance, and he wouldn't get out it, and just kept pushing the siren over and over. It was funny.

He ran around everywhere, and was so fascinated with everything.

They got to do the grocery shopping.

This was Jaxon's first experience at it; he piled all the cheese off the shelf into his cart.  The boy likes cheese!!

They had a Dinosaur exhibit that was boring.

But, this is where we learned that Jaxon is going to be our scientist!!!

Or, maybe not! I don't think scientist climb on their equipment!

They dug for dinosaur bones!!

We picked up lunch at Chicken Express and napped at the hotel. Jason and Kylee went swimming at the hotel, and then they walked to the convenience store to get CANDY and slushes!!!

In Other News

Maggie has made the move.

She's been sleeping in her crib for 6 nights now.  The first night she cried from 1-3, but other than that it has been pretty good.  I have had to put the paci in a few times, but maybe that will get better with time.  She is still eating in the night.

Also, she has been getting up on her KNEES already!! I'm serious!! At the lake on the 4th, she was pushing up with her arms, and getting her knees under her, and lunging forward.  Will have to get a better picture sometime!

I cried on the way home from the lake the other night in the car because my kids are getting so big, and it makes me sad, and probably because I was exhausted, and needed sleep!! :)

In the News

Maggie made the local news today; sitting with Jasons' dad waiting on the parade to start yesterday!!

Also, Jason has the best score in the world (really only the 120,000 some odd people that play) in the game "Hooked on Words" with 5,000 and something points.  He just kept saying, "When have you ever been the best in the world at something?" :)

Good Times!!
