MAGGIE MACHINE!!!

Yep, she's got it.

I just hope she keeps it.

I am talking about that tall "holik" gene.

We had our 2 Month check-up today, and everything went great.  

Dr. P gave her the Perfect 10. 

Weight: 10lbs 1oz.

Height: 22 1/4 in. 

COMPARISON to 

Kylee: 

W: 10 lbs 10 oz. 

H: 21 1/2 in.

Jaxon: 

W: 11 lbs 1 oz.

H: 21 3/4 in.

She is longer!!! Wahoo!! She was 50% on H and W. 

Other than that, it was a great appointment.  She does have a flat spot on the back of her head, so we just need more tummy time.

Obviously, the olders are more excited than she was!!

They quickly crowded around, and Jaxon had to show off his trick too.

This weekend (post Jason's knee surgery) we celebrated DERBY STYLE!!

Some friends invited us over to watch the Kentucky Derby, and celebrate Baby Jarrett getting to leave his house!! :) I'm so mad we didn't take a picture in our Derby Hats!! :(

What better way to celebrate than Kentucky Derby pie, and we drank Mint Juleps (Minus the whiskey because like Eve said, we are Baptists)!! And breastfeeding!! :)

The kids had a fun time.  They were both asleep by the time we got home!!

 Jason sporting his Hello Kitty band-aids after his surgery.  Everything went great, and we are both happy to have that behind us, and hopefully we won't be doing it again in the near future!!

My Candy Land Girl

Last week at Awana's, Kylee bought Candy Land from the store.  We didn't have it; she is tickled that she got it.

She can really play it, and loves it.  We have played it nearly everyday since she bought it. 

She has really enjoyed going to Cubbies, besides the few days were she was tired on Wednesday evenings, and we had a few fits, but other than that, she liked it.  She loved getting the patches for her vest. 

There are 24 verses in the book, and she finished the whole book.  Each week Mrs. Brown goes over every verse with them again to review.  

This morning was our Awana Awards Ceremony, and her Cubbies class got to say all 24 of their verses in front of the church.  Part of it is just her knowing the verse from practice, but we are working on the part of really "knowing" what they mean. 

As they said the verses this morning, guess what my daughter did.  She didn't open her mouth ANY to say the verses, which is fine, I kind of expected that because Jason is her daddy, but she was CHEWING ON HER VEST.  I didn't realize this until we got home because of where I was sitting at church.  I asked her why her vest was wet, and she told me she chewed on it. Seriously Kylee!! :)  

But, isn't she sweet in her vest. And so grown up!! :(  

Last week, she was saying the prayer before we ate supper, and she said "thank you for our food, thank you for our church, and thank you for our friends" (Which are the 3 things she says every time), and then she proceeded to say "And thank you for the baby cat I get for my birthday."  Jason said "no" in the middle of the prayer.  Then after the prayer was over, she continued to ask Jason if he liked baby puppy's.

There's a catch in my back,

There's a tear in Jason's knee,

We're falling apart,

Wouldn't you agree?

We are getting old, and have random aches and pains, and we are falling apart, but I wouldn't want to age with any one else but Jason!!

Say a little prayer for him this morning.  He is having knee surgery to repair his meniscus in his other knee. 

And, I really, do have a catch in my back!!
